I am sorry I have not read to the DPP yet, but is Platina and Dawn really that alike personality wise?

No, Tenni, they are COMPLETELY different. Where Platina is reasonable, Dawn is...hyper. Honestly, I'm glad that they didn't put Platina in the anime, since Platina would most likely be the only character that would be sane. Although since it's the anime, I don't doubt that they'd probably make her anti-social or something.

It's like Crystal and Marina. They aren't that similar, either. XD; Especially the fact that there have been hints to Marina being a Coordinator in D/P.

Yeeaaaaa no. Not even close. If there are any similarities with any of them, I'd have to say Green and Gary, but thats about as close as it gets.

Well, where I am right now is that part after the fight with his dad, with the chorus lyrics (We'll never stop; Cause we're only getting better, yadda yadda yadda). I'm thinking of maybe doing something that goes around the whole first contests that he does + what happens in the Whismur cave, but I don't know how to fit it in with the lyrics.

And Absol comes along, and they learn of the disaster in the Whismur and all that. -just went backwards, but that's everything that happens along that time.

The whole Kyorge and Groundon parts probably won't be until after the second chorus run, right before the part where I do the confession scene.
