I think it is just Togepi's own personality. Right after it hatched it already had this slightly angry badas* face and direct started gambling. It is just not a really happy Pokemon itself. XD Seeing the pictures of the Pokathlon just proves it. Togepi seems to be very competitive against the other Pokemon. I think it has to do with Togepi itself. Not really Gold's fault. Nope.
Though Togepi's personality matches Gold's pretty well. Maybe it will evolve if it finds happiness in a partnership. X3

good point. but when i first saw the picture, togetaro looked so depressed and everyone's attention was directed to altaro. i felt like that gold didnt care about it enough. but, i think you're right

Amore: Good idea. Aitaro + Explotaro + Togetaro all fighting at once with almost no commands needed and kicking serious evil TR butt = super gigantic mass of concentrated awesome. Bonus points if they share a glance with Gold and smirk or something. :3

As for Pichu...I hope not. That thing hasn't really gotten much screentime. Actually, I think it's had less character development than any of the other Pokemon. Considering the attention the Pika-evos usually get, that's...strange.

ValentineUmbreon: If Togetaro did inherit Gold's taste for gambling, then I wouldn't really be surprised if he got Gold's perpetual need for attention with the rest of the package. Plus, although he's usually so badass that we readers tend to forget, he is a baby. Babies and children like getting attention.

...I'd rather not think about what that says about Gold's personality.

Come to think of it, if it does evolve, is it's face going to stay that way throughout it's evolution chain? *tries to imagine Togekiss with angry-looking expression*

shadowmoon: Gold is a jerk, but he's also a nice guy. If his character development from the GSC arc says anything at all, it's that he deeply cares for his Pokemon equally (I'm looking right at Pryce, here). I think:

Deoxys - Will return, I expected it to have a cameo at Veilstone City, after referencing it in Fr/Lg.....
Mewtwo - We need to know why he wasn't part of the statue, as he clearly jumped forward with the rest of the 'dex holders
Jirachi - Won't, as it's meant to be asleep for another 1,000 years, and I doubt Pokemon will last that long....
Mew - It has its' cameos, I reckon it'll return if/when Mewtwo does.....
Manaphy - It's only appeared in Guile/Archie's vision/idea....

Not surprising with this news, I knew they'd do it, the real question is, how they're gonna pull it off with simultaneous arcs? That scan sure looks like the real thing. I can't to see what they do with N. I really think he's the main guy to look for this generation.

It's bad enough that they have barely started Platinum or Heart Gold/ Soul Silver, and haven't even finished Diamond Pearl, but I have another to look forward to. By the look of the new picture, I'm soooo stoked for BW.

Now I'll be obsessively checking for updates.

Biggest question is what happened to Mewtwo, and if he's actually under Sird's control. Biggest curiosity for the longest time ever since I didn't him see him petrified, and Sird said she gained something value...

I wonder what they're going to do with N, since he has almost the same goal like Lance in the Yellow Arc :| And Bel and Cheren are on the picture <3 Also Black and White does look older than usual Player ;) As promised. But did you notice that Dia, Pearl and Missy/Platina also were older that in the games (DP 12, Platinum 13)

I know what you guys mean. It's kinda annoying how they currently have about 4 arcs going on at once or on hiatus. I'm pretty sure DP is finished, or really close. No offense, but I think it's overstayed its welcome (It's been running way too long). Anyway, it's great that there's a new arc because it'll grab more attention for Pokespecial, given the massive number of people who have already bought the games.

Black (or whatever) has a Pokabu/*English name pending*
So letsee...
Red: Bulbasaur (grass)
Gold: Cyndaquil (fire)
Ruby: Mudkip (water)
Diamond: Turtwig (grass)
Black (?): Pokabu (fire)

EDIT: Someone translated the dialouge Black has with his Pokabu
"This city has me stoked, Poka!* Look how huge a single building is! But um... come to think, isn't everything just a bit TOO big? This is too much to take in!"(???)"
Apparently, like alot of the dex holders, he nicknames his pokemon. his Pokabu is named Poka.
(Why is everyone copying Red and naming their pokemon the first half of their real name? )
