I guess it's because he's misguided like Lance? Honestly, those two would get on so well......except that Lance doesn't want to lose control of his Dragonite, and controls pokémon, whilst N just wants people to release theirs.....

It seems to me that what N is doing not for a bad cause. It's just...radical. Lance controlled Pokemon improperly. But I thought N wanted humans nothing to do with Pokemon from the start. Just leave them be. Let them live in their natural habitat, and let humans live in theirs.

I JUST GOT VOLUME 10!! Pre-ordering FTW!!

Anyway, I'm really happy and impressed. As expected, there are some nickname changes. While Crystal is known as "Chris" in the Chaung Yi versions, she's "Crys" here. Here are her Pokemon's names:

Mega (Chikorita) is now Megaree
Arckee (Arcanine) is now Archy
Chumee (Smoochum) stays the same
Natee (Natu) stays the same
Hitmonee (Hitmonchan) is now Monlee
Parasee (Parasect) stays the same
Cubone (Bonee) stays the same

The translations are great! I can't wait until the next release!

Actually, N and Lance KINDA have similar goals, but with a major difference. Lance wanted to free pokemon from humans by completely destroying human life (minus the elite trainers), while N just wants to separate humans from Pokemon without harming both. (I think. I never played the B/W games, and I don't plan to until it comes out in English.)

So White is trying to become a Pokemon actor? That's pretty interesting. I was suspecting her to be doing the musical thing. So "N" has a full name and a hint is giving in the game? I need to go back into playing it to find out what the hint was then. I'm curious on what is full name is.

White seems a lot like ruby and yellow, in the sense that they both don't like battles. maybe she will also be interested in musicals, too. i was reading the summary that cronis gave. he was talking about what black said "i've been waiting 9 years" in respect to when red became champion (like sapphire). could that mean it's been 9 years after rbg? if true...red, green and blue are 20... :O

Well, both Ruby and Yellow had their reasons for disliking battles:
Yellow just hates hurting pokemon, even her enemies' pokemon.
Ruby was hiding his battling skills.
I want to know White's reason.

I found that interesting too! If it really was Red's victory at the league that inspired Black, that would be pretty cool.
(So I wonder if that means that the B/W arc takes place a year after the HG/SS arc.)

Black reminds me of Redsan because Redsan was the champion when he was 11 but Black and White are older then the dex holders when they started mmm weird this a problem i have to find the solution.

Platinum fighting Volkner. It was a pretty interesting battle if you asked me. Pearl barges into the Galactic building searching for Dia, Cynthia comes into the building with her Garchomp fighting Cyrus. I was surprised to see her in that part. This part made me laugh, Diamond dressed up as a Galactic grunt. Oh I just noticed that they mentioned the other Pokedex users from the other manga. Finally! Another Pokemon besides Diamond Torterra evolves.

Just finished volume 37. They'll probably continue the rest of the manga in Platinum. So far it's pretty good. Can't wait for Platinum manga.

haha same here, I think I always come back for about a week then leave for a month because of school. Today is my first post since last month I think. My last final is on wednesday as well xD

I'm completely unupdated on pokespe right now. I'm trying to stay updated and into the series as I can, but for some reason it's really hard for me. Anyways, about the BW manga:

about N/team plasma being "evil", pokespe usually follows the plot in the games, so I'm assuming for the large part that N and team plasma have completely the same roles as the games. If this is the case, then N isn't really "evil", it's team plasma that's evil. I'm not exactly sure since I can't read Japanese, but from what I have heard (chamo, spoiler for BW games)

N wants to create a world for pokemon because he thinks people are being cruel to them, so he tries to use the legendary pkmn to create this "new world" (I guess a reference to DPPt?). Apparently Geeshichu reveals that the true motive of team plasma is to steal pkmn and use them to take over the Isshu/Unova region, and that he was just "using" N. So team plasma is evil because their motive is similar to team rocket's, I don't think N is "evil" since he just wants pokemon to be treated the same as humans.

I'm not sure if this is how it's going to play out in the manga but I guess we'll see!

also, White disliking battles is somewhat disappointing for me. I guess that's because when I initially saw her character design I thought she looked like one of those "tough/tomboyish" girls (kind of like Sapphire) but I guess not, especially since we saw she was scared of bugs like Misty is (who is actually rather tomboyish) xD But I'm curious about this pokemon acting thing, it just seems kind of unexpected since it's not directly connected to the games in any way.
And team plasma grunts look better (a bit more "normal"?) in the manga than in their game sprite xD

I can't wait for BW manga to be serialized! (:

That's an interesting thought; I bet so. If I'm not mistaken, only a handful of the Platinum chapters were actually published in magazines, so there's a ton that's still unveiled as of yet. Since Giratina is a pretty pivotal plot point in the games, and it wasn't even mentioned in DP, I think there's a good chance it'll be included in the manga chapters.

Well. since you say that Volume 38 will have the end of D/P arc and the beginning of the Platinum arc, I can imagine that the Platinum arc will end maybe at Vol 41. Most arcs based on 3rd version games (sans Emerald, since it lasted pretty long) last only about 3 books. Same goes for HG/SS, meaning that the B/W arc starts...45?

yellow: singing songs, set up stockings
gold: playing jokes on everyone
silver: killing gold, getting caught in gold's tricks
crys: scolding gold
ruby: making holiday themed clothes for everyone, trying to get sapphire to wear his dress
sapphire: running away from ruby
emerald: see gold, needs help reaching his stocking
dia: smores and hot chocolate!
pearl: slapping dia for taking all the hot chocolate

It would be interesting if his parents is one of the Elite four or a gym leader. Him having Wargle and Makomo was probably given to him by his parents or something. Hopefully Platinum version will be longer then HG/SS one. I would love to see how the Giratina one would work out. Since in Volume 37 Team Galactic mentions the other pokedex users, I wonder if they are going to meet one of them in the Platinum version.

Holiday topic: I shall do this later once I get some ideas.
