It's ok. It's only moving fast now since we have birthdays to celebrate and some PokeSpe news to talk about. Most of the time, if there is no topic, it's pretty slow here.

I still don't know why he had to take some guy's pants though... it's kinda creepy.

"wide-ban" is basically a wide-release of a manga. It's a re-release of the R/S arc into 3 larger volumes instead of the 7 volumes it originally takes up. I don't know if there is any new content in those volumes, but I think that cover is new artwork.

well, its kinda late and probably some of the older members have already answered a topic something like this, but oh well. ^^ its a standard birthday topic for our favourite and much loved characters ^^

Red:<S>Himself</S> (err hope the strikeoff appears :/)
Green:idk, extra training?
Blue:probably a long lesson on how to be more devious *is shot*
Gold:His number? *shot multiple times by angry specialshipping fans*
Silver:permission for her to rant at his father for 5hours about the importance of the viridian forest
Crystal:a pokegear (she seems like the kind of person to give practical things)
Ruby:free grooming to her pokemon
Sapphire:toughen up her pokemon(and mess up ruby's work D:)
Emerald:(agrees with shadowmoon) yup, she definitely needs a pair of platform shoes ^^

Oh...HG/SS....well.
Lemme tell you this.
The reason why it's difficult to put up scans of that chapter is because of how it was released in the magazines.
There is no chronological way to arrange half of that arc because of inconsistency. Also, because the magaka were rushed to finish HGSS, the last few chapters show some major inconsistency with the story line.
So, imho, I think we should wait until the come out in tankobon (book) form.

Grade 4:
Black and White are in Nacrene City, and White is doing an advertisement of the BW agency in a restaurant. Outside, Black recites his daily goal loudly as usual, and starts to scare the customers away. As an employee o the agency, Black is forced by White to give out their name cards to the people, but Black apparently freaks the musician on the road out instead with his anxious behaviour.

White talks to the musician herself, who is holding an accordion, and suddenly, the film director she worked with before pops up, and it turns out that the musician is supposed to having a shooting that day. The musician goes to get himself ready and leaves behind his accordion for the assitant to look after. However, the assistant becomes thirsty, and believes that his short absence will be fine. Unfortunately, a Scraggy and Scrafty have their eyes on the instrument which very much resembles the loose skin on their waist, and decide to snatch it away.

Meanwhile, Black is training his Munna and his Galvantula, surrounding their battle field with electricity-filled spider webs. Galvantula's Electro Ball nearly hits the director who is walking past, and at the moment, the assistant comes crying that the accordion is missing. Like before, the director thinks Black is the culprit again, and Black decides to prove himself and the BW agency innocent.

He uses Munna to clear his mind, and soon sees two figures in the bushes. Snatching away the trousers of the assistant, which are loose on himself, he pulls them up and down, and this motion catches the interest of Scraggy and Scarfty again, who come popping out. Tepig fails to knock them down with its fire attacks, but as they two flee, they end up caught in the electric nets set by Galvantula, and Black manages to retrieve the accordion.

White returns Black's Tepig to him so that he could proceed to challenge Lenora, the Nacrene Gymleader, and the boy goes off in high spirits. The director then thanks White for her help, and offers to give her the chance to get involved with the major filming companies. He speaks of a project that is about to take place at Nimbasa City, and wonders if she would be interested to take part in it...

Pokemon Fan:
This chapter starts at the Nacrene Museum at night, where three female TP Grunts lock down their target on the dragon skeleton, hoping to present it to their King. The next morning, Black is annoyed that White is still shopping around the furniture stores, and states that there is nothing left to do in the city. White, on the other hand, seems to be enjoying the city's many shops. Suddenly, they see Hawes, the assistant director of the Nacrene Museum, runs around frantically on the streets, revealing that the dragon skeleton has gone missing.

Black, using Munna to clear his mind again, figures out that the culprit has gone west. He tells White and Hawes to stay behind while he goes on pursuit, but bumps into Burgh on his way. Outside, the two soon discover that the dragon skeleton is walking on its own, and as the skeleton attacks Burgh, Black figures out that something must be controlling it. He gets his Braviary to attack the bushes, which reveals the three Plama Grunts and one of the Seven Sages, Gorm.

From the ease of the skeleton's motions, Black rationalizes that the controller must be near, and spots a coffin like item next to the Grunts. He gets Burgh's help to send Whirlepede spinning towards himself, before Briavary smacks it towards the coffin, revealing it to be a Cofagrigus. Gorm attempts to withdraw it, but Burgh orders a Pursuit from Whirlipede, which manages to knock out the coffin Pokemon, freeing its control over the skeleton. The Grunts begin to sulk, but Gorm assures them that it is another dragon that Team Plasma seeks. With that, they vanish and flee the scene.

Black and White bid their goodbyes to Burgh, but add that they shall meet soon at Castelia City. It turns out that Black knew Burgh's Gymleader identity all along, as he is familiarized with every single Gymleader in Unova...

Yep. that is what's going on.
Though I am dissapointed at one thing.
Since it shows that not only did they pass the Dreamyard and Fennel's lab in Striaton City, but now they are going to face Lenora at the Nacrene city Gym...that means that the whole Striaton City Gym Battle seems to have been skipped.

nuuu, I was hoping to see Black Vs. Chili, Cress, and Cilan. ;3; OTL That means we might have to wait until the BW arc comes out in tankobon form.

Ok. now onto the...weird...facepalm inducing news.
This isn't really spoilers I guess, but since it involves the BW chapter of PokeSpe...

It seems VIZ is about to jump the shark and release a manga called Pokemon Black and White.
At first, it looks like they are talking about some other BW manga..but.
Look at this press release about it...

It seems like the title for this manga is "Pokemon Adventures: Black and White"

OTL DANG IT VIZ.
It looks like they want to cash in on this Black and White hype by releasing the BW chapters of Pokemon Special.

For some, this looks like a good idea because we get to see an official English translation, but ...there are some problems with this.

1.) This arc in incomplete. I doubt VIZ has enough to go on to release their own book for BW.
2.) If they are taking this info from magazine scans, they are risking having stuff changed in the Japanese version once the arc is actually in tankobon form in Japan.
3.) Magazine chapters tend to be inconsistent and out of chronological order. Unless Viz has some info on the BW arc of Pokemon Special, this is going to be a train wreck.

Get off that train while you still can, Viz. ;;3;; I already have much respect for you guys re-releasing Pokemon Adventures. Please don't do this to yourseeeeelf.
