Gold hack: Pokemon Super Gold 97 (Complete)

That's fine, then. I'll keep your type chart on my phone for when I'm playing and need a reference, just like with Pokémon Prism. But I must say, I've waited for something like this since the Spaceworld demo was revealed, and so far I'm REALLY impressed. I'll stay tuned for any updates :)

I've been pumping out a ton of minor updates lately, but none of them are terribly game-changing. Should actually be slowing down now, a lot of the updates have been grammar fixes and I think those are about done. Game is definitely content-complete at this point.

lvl_3, I missed the cool items you added because I finished the whole game several weeks ago. Is it still possible for me to grab them ?

For the most part, yes! The held items for stat boosts can be bought in the Westport Dept store, and most of the dolls and other furniture can be obtained from Game Corners or the traveling doll salesman. Just update your game to the new one and rename your save to match and you should be good.
 
Per owners request this is now labelled as a Gold hack.

Would be awesome if you continue to leave the crystal version up, it's honestly a great reference even if its just left up on github.

The code for the original Crystal version is a mess because I hadn't properly labeled any maps or events, but it won't go anywhere! I'm leaving it up on Github for anyone who wants to take a look.

That's strange. They should have their new teams immediately after beating them the first time. The first Pokemon you see is Will's Xatu, should be level 50 the first time around and level 65 every time after that. Are you still seeing the level 50 one?
 
i've been enjoying the hack so far, only real issue i've had is knowing where i'm supposed to be going to progress story events. i've just dealt with the exec in stand city, what's my next move?
also, i like seeing some of the unreleased mons and i would like to have tried a few of them in my team but getting to them takes a lot of time, at which point i've already got most of my team leveled. i know you can get a bomseal through a trade but i'd rather catch one. and that's not possible til after rock smash as far as i know, and pinsir isn't even shown in the dex for me to be able to try its evo

forget my last comment about what to do after the exec, i just missed the computer with the password. that being said, some story triggers are still a bit ambiguous.

like i said before, the availability of the beta/unreleased mons is a but lacklustre, and the minute snorlax becomes available i didn't need anything besides it and the aquarius i started with. curse, amnesia, normal stab and shadow ball was all it needed and i was able to get through most battles with just that. by the time i reached

snorlax was only lv60 and was able to set up and sweep. just goes to show even in alternate versions snorlax was the king of gen 2.

i had a lot of fun playing through this over the last day or so. i'm going to see what i missed out, i don't think i'll be going for a complete dex though.

just out of curiosity, was there a tweak made in the sleep/confusion/paralysis mechanics to make things skewed against you? sleep turns have been 4 minimum for me each time, i never hit through confusion and paralysis is a death sentence

Nope, no changes. Seems like you've just been unlucky.
 
If I was midway into the game on the Legacy version, should I just drop it and start over or I wouldn't miss much if i continue to play that? Is the 3.0 version polished and bugless, but without post game features / additional items like skateboard etc? If that's not the case would it be possible to have a "final" legacy version without typos and the likes? Thanks

Unfortunately I only have a few hours per month for playing and starting over would be a chore. Btw, awesome hack, it's been one of my favourite so far <3
