Pokemon: The Magical Guardians

OOC: Well, I was wondering two things. First off, Emerald Sky, I can't see a sign-up of yours. Of course, if you are Role Playing the current Mages people thingies like Ash, Brock, and so forth, forget this. And second thing, how come you lot have started Role Playing as the Pokémon? Just a question, not an accusation. Also, could I change my magic into Summoning magic? Once you give me the thumbs up, I'll change it.

IC:

The gentle wind carressed Razaan, as he stood at the top of the knoll, observing the surroundings. He stared out from his black eyes at the dark city below him, contemplating the best route to take to get to the other side without being in the middle of the town. His eyes scanned the city, picking out the most heavily lighted places, and discarding them. Finally, finding a route he was satisfied with, Razaan made his way down the hill, aproaching Celadon City from the west. It didn't take him long to reach the entrance to the city.

Bypassing the guards, he wandered alone, in the streets, looking for the route he had picked out.

It was then, that he saw it...

(First of all, the RP's creator doesn't have to have a signup, And second of all, it's fine if you want to change your magic type.)

OOC: I am RPing as the Pokemon because it is night in Celadon. Silver is sleeping. That's what people DO at nights...But, if you would like someone else to RP as human, then I shall attempt it.

IC: Mightyena ran to the side of the house and stopped underneath a window. Standing on his back legs, he peered into Silver's bedroom only to find the trainer sleeping on the floor next to his bed, a bad habit of his. The dog Pokemon have a growling sigh, then nudged a toy Pokeball Silver kept on his window with his nose. It hit the floor with a soft thud, not nearly loud enough to wake anything. Mightyena returned to the ground and trotted back to Houndoom.

<I tried to wake him. I pushed the Pokeball off the window, but the noise didn't do anything. I guess the floor is sound-proof or something.> Houndoom hit Mightyena round the back of the head with his paw, causing the pure Dark type to lean forward. Houndoom ducked down to Mightyena's ear and growled.

<Maybe the Pokeball might have rolled and HIT him? Did you watch long enough to see that?> Houndoom pushed his friend's head down with a paw and darted for the window. It was still open, and the Pokeball was not there. Houndoom looked inside and saw Silver in his bed, with the Pokeball on his nightstand near him.

<Get up! We have a crisis!> Nothing happened. Silver continued to snore peacefully, and rolled off the bed again. Houndoom sighed and barked, <B 14!>

"BINGO!" Silver's eyes snapped open and he stood, fist pumped in the air. A few seconds later, he noticed that only Houndoom was there. The half-asleep trainer waved, then walked over to the window.

<We've got a problem. There is the scent of fire a few blocks away, and a Swampert nearby.> Silver yawned and stretched, knocking over some random junk on his bookshelf.

"Well, why didn't the Swampert put it out?"

<My thoughts exactly. No Swampert can breathe fire, and it should have put it out by now. Unless it's working with a Fire type--WAKE UP!> As Houndoom was talking, Silver had begun to drift downward, using the bookcase edge as a pillow. After being yelled at, he stood at attention.

"So what can I do?" Houndoom climbed down and backed away from the window.

<I'm going to find out, and I'm taking you with me.>

"Can I change first? I'm still wearing my PJs."

<Go ahead, but hurry. Oh, and nice lawn gnomes, by the way.> Silver gave a sarcastic laugh, then disappeared from the window for a few minutes. When he came back, he wore gray sweatpants and his favorite sweatshirt. He cued Houndoom to ready Mightyena silently, then climbed out of the window.

OOC: My apologies about getting started so slowly. I like to take time and care with my beginning posts, and I had little time to do much during finals week. Luckily the school year for me is done and over with! So here I am. ^^

Britta
---------------

<Eep! Oooh! Oh my...!> grunted a rather weak and neurotic-sounding voice. It came from a pitch-black alley, the small street's contents carefully hidden from view by the blanket of night that had fallen on it.

A second voice came forth, it was shrill and frustrated, <Shhh! Will you be quiet?! Do you want her to find us or what?!> There was a small bit of excitement in the voice that showed through the anger, as if the two were scheming.

<B-b-but there's a-a-a damp object near one of my feet and I c-can't see w-w-what it is!> he breathed, scuttling sounds now being heard coming from the blackness.

<There she is!> the other voice called out in the loudest whisper she dare do, <We jump... NOW!>

<What? N-now?!> the neurotic voice said nervously, but it was too late, and his companion had already dashed out of the alley, her brown feathers being bathed in a yellow-lighted street lamp.

The Hoothoot had leapt out in front of a young girl walking down the street. Her light blue eyes were full of worry and her face looked anxious. Her head had whipped around as quick as it could when the pokemon had jumped out in front of her, the long, blonde hair flipping with her head's turn.

"Ah!" she squeaked, startled about the suddenly appearance of the flying pokemon, "Aera you scared me dearie!" She smiled politely, realizing that there was no threat to her.

Aera chuckled and hooted playfully, <Your face was too funny Britta!>

Britta smoothed out her dark purple skirt, and continued smiling politely, "Yes, well, Peter? Peter are you here? You can come out now."

A small, orange, bug pokemon came scuttling out of the dark alley, looking frightened and confused. <I... I c-can't breathe!> the Paras heaved, his eyes wide. and bulging.

"Please Peter, you must calm down," Britta said kindly, kneeling down to stroke the pokemon's head in an attempt to calm him.

<Yeah Pete, it was just a bit o' fun! You're such a party pooper!> Aera hooted stiffly, flapping over to him.

Britta suddenly looked up, frowning. She smelled smoke in the air. She ignored Peter for a moment and stood up, looking around worriedly. "Do you smell anything?" she asked her two pokemon, though she doubted that either of them could smell much; they weren't exactly scent pokemon.

<Ooh! Somethin' goin' on?! I'll fly up and look!> Aera said happily, flying up into the night's sky.

"Aera wait my dear!" Britta said quickly, but the Hoothoot had already gone, and the girl was forced to look back at Peter.

<Oh... oh dear, oh dear! She could be eaten by a Skarmory! Or... or she could be hit by a plane! Oh poor Aera...,> the Paras said sorrowfully, as if each of these things truly had happened.

"I hope she comes back with news soon...," Britta said, stroking Peter's head once more, hoping that Aera wasn't getting too involved.

No sooner had Rukario cast jhis spell, did he notice various Pokemon coming to see what all the commotion was about. A Houndoom and Mightyena came from the next house over, a Swampert and its master came running from behind him, and a Hoothoot hovered above him--what was he to do?

He could tell these Pokemon he meant them no harm first....

'Don't be afraid everyone...I come in peace." he assured the various Pokemon, all the while afraid as to how they'd react...

Name: Darin Himoto

Age:16

Physcial appearance: He surely doesn't look like any super hero Summoner, but he dresses to please himself. He has jet black hair along with a set of dark black eyes. Sometimes you might catch him with a pair of cool black sunglasses above his eyes. He wears an oversized XXL raven black T-shirt along with a set of matching black, long cargo pants and a pair of black, leather Adidas tennis shoes. He has a sterling silver cross chain around his neck along with a diamond encrusted watch around his wrist. He has a tall build and is in between determining weight, not to fat, not to skinny.

Personality: He tends to have a calm and relaxed personality at most times. Although, when it comes to people that are bossy and cocky, as well as people who think there the greatest, he hates and disrespects them. Absol and Skarmory would grow an immediate dislike to the person as well. In battle, he is serious and determined, not be too aggressive nor soft to his pokemon.

Pokemon: Skarmory and Absol. They are almost the complete opposite in personality and ideas. Absol always thinks of a tactical way to accomplish his tasks, while Skarmory will just do what it must do to get what he wants. Absol is usually quiet and obedient, while Skarmory is loud and rather annoying. During battle, Absol could accept a lost and discover another way to defeat his opponent, while Skarmory, on the other hand, won't accept a lost. He will kick sand at the opponent's face, peck at them, or attempt to intimidate his opponent by squawking loudly and performing aerial aerobatics. Both pokemon, however, are obedient and will follow their orders.

Magic type: Summoning

OOC: If I don't get accepted, can you tell me what I did wrong so I can apporve.

Celadon City was a busy at night. Various types of people and pokemon were working hard, attempting to accomplish their tasks at hand before their bed times. A Machamp, a one of the strongest fighting pokemon out there, was lifting a dozen rough bricks with it's four muscular arms. Skarmory, the steel bird pokemon, glanced at the fighting pokemon, eager for a challenge. Skarmory was always like that. If it wasn't a magneton, fire, or electric pokemon, Skarmory wanted to engage it, having full confidence that it will win. Absol took a quick look at it's friend, and just shook his head.

When Darin entered the suburbs, it was much more quieter than the city. Houses with neatly mown laws, a luxurious automobile in the drive way, and a beautiful garden with many watered flowers was a common sight. Suddenly, Absol sniffed the air furiously.

"What's wrong Absol?" Darin asked, turning his head towards him.

<"I smell fire. It's faint, but it's their. I also smell many more pokemon. All the other scents are familiar to me, but one of them doesn't recall...,"> Absol spoke quietly. Skarmory was unusually quiet. When fire is around, Skarmory tries all his best to keep his beak shut, and not get in a fight.

"Alight then. Absol, lead the way," Darin said casually, following Absol. Skarmory trailed behind Darin.

Rukario glanced around, interested in the array of trainers and Pokemon as an Absol and a Skarmory arrived with their master. It was now or never...the moon was turning an eerie yellow color, and he had to tell them why it looked that way.

"Trainers, Pokemon...I mean you no harm to you or your loved ones. You may not realize it but your world is in very grave danger--The things and places humans call fantasy; like fairies, unicorns, and magic, are very real and exist in a world very much like this. Phenomena that occurs in this world--such as lightning, rainbows, and snow--that is actually magic crossing into this world."

So far, the humans looked interested, so Rukario took their concerned looks as a sign to continue:

"Even the moon turning yellow from its usual silver--that is a sign to the human world that something is wrong in the Magical World....a rogue shadow Pokemon has escaped from the shadow realm, and is wreaking havoc all over the magical world--and neither I or the four Guardians have the strength to contain it.

Therefore, I beg you to come to the Magical Realm, accept magic for yourself, and learn to use it, so that you may save the Magical world and this world."

When the mysterious pokemon was finished with it's speech, Skarmory laughed to himself. He seemed unimpressed. Fairies and Unicorns! He wouldn't believe that nonsense for less than a second. On the other hand, Absol remained silent, listening all the way through. Darin too, paid his full attention to this pokemon, as well as greedy thoughts on how he could catch it. Although, a pokemon like this probably couldn't be captured.

<"This is ridiculous. C'mon guys, lets go...,"> Skarmory was rudely interrupted when Absol struck his leg.

<"Do you believe him?"> Absol asked Darin, looking directly at his face.

"Can't say. Although I guess I'll pay attention more. Because this don't sound made up if you ask me. Plus I ain't never seen that kind of pokemon before," Darin answered.

Britta
----------------

"Oh my... look at this Peter!" gasped Britta as she walked cautiously out from the shadows and into the wake of the other trainers and pokemon. There was a Rukario, a number of children around her age, and many different pokemon.

Peter's large and bulging eyes were fixated on the Skarmory nearby. <O-o-oh nooo! Aera DID get eaten by a Skarmory!! I told her! I warned! Did anyone listen; NO!>

Britta smiled knowingly at her little Paras and shook her head, "No no my dear Peter... Aera is perfectly alive and well. See?" she pointed up into the sky where the Hoothoot was fluttering curiously. Peter's bulging eyes couldn't see it properly though, and so he was still worried.

<She should be more carefu-- ah!! What have I stepped in?!> he scuttled away with a look of surprise on him. Britta fought back a chuckle.

She was worried though... worried about this strange sight before her. What was going on? She walked closer, in time to hear the Rukario before them all say its piece. Britta listened carefully, thinking about the pokemon's words. Did she believe him? She heard a voice near her speaking of the validity of the pokemon's words.

"Can't say. Although I guess I'll pay attention more. Because this don't sound made up if you ask me. Plus I ain't never seen that kind of pokemon before."

She walked a little closer to the boy who had said it, and nodded her head. "I agree. After all, what would such a pokemon have to gain from lying?" she shrugged, not knowing if it was indeed true or not, but surely it didn't hurt to listen.

Peter scuttled quietly behind Britta, shaking violently as he gaped at the two pokemon near the boy. A Skarmory and an Absol. Skarmory were intimidating enough, but an Absol? Weren't they supposed to cause disaster? He reminded himself of good things... happy things... to try to keep his nerves under control. Why would Britta ever think of even approaching someone like this?

Darin and his companions turned slowly to the trainer with the Hoot Hoot and Paras. Skarmory eyes narrowed sharply, examining the pokemon. Absol though, stood their emotionlessly, then turning back to the Rukario. Darin seemed unimpressed, but didn't want to be rude.

"I agree. After all, what would such a pokemon have to gain from lying?" The trainer asked. Darin didn't exactly thought that the trainer was aiming the question to him, but she probably was because she moved closer to him. Absol remained silent, but Skarmory noticed one of her pokemon were frightened by the duo of pokemon. Skarmory would definitely keep that in mind.

"Yeah, that's true"Darin responded to the trainer."By the way, Im Darin. Who are you?" I asked, awaiting for a reply.

OOC: Sorry for the wait.

OOC: Okay.

IC:

Razaan stared at the Pokémon from behind a large teak tree. This Pokémon obviously was no ordinary Pokémon, for it had gathered together all of these trainers. To them, it would seem like a coincidence, because of the burning, and the flame, but Razaan understood. Maybe one or two trainers would be okay, but these many. Even he had been intrigued, although he did not know what it was that intrigued him. It had certainly not been the fire, or anything else. More than anything, it seemed that it was the mere presence of this Pokémon that caused him to veer off is course, and come here.

He had listened intently to his talk about an alternate universe, and knew at once, that this Pokémon was not lying, for several factors. First of all, he had already heard rumours of such a place, and that it existed. Secondly, as one of the other trainers had rightly stated, the Pokémon gained nothing from lying. And finally, this Pokémon could converse with humans. This ability, alone did not make the Pokémon truthful, but a power like that, would only be bestowed upon a truly powerful Pokémon, and by that, meaning something more powerful than even a legendary. Pokémon like that were likely to have a purpose, and would try to carry it out, before anything else.

However, instead of leaping out in front of the Pokémon, Razaan made a mental decision to stay hidden behind the tree. For starters, he would like to know more about this place from this Pokémon. He could, of course walk up, but he did not want to speak with the other trainers, and so, he stayed behind the tree, craning his neck to hear more.

While waiting for the other Pokémon to speak, he looked around at the other trainers wearily.

Pathetic...

nick walked towards the pokemon who was in the middle of all attention.(rukario)
he reached out his hand in an attempt to touch the pokemon.

<he always wants to touch the new things, i hate his bad habit...> wetground walked towards his master and stopped right behind him.

"is this thing real?....is it a hologram or and illusio"n?" nick said reaching even further and almost toching the pokemon, he could feel the body warmth on his hands.
he withdrawed his arm , and walked away towards a pokemon center without saying a single word.

wetground simply followed his master and best friend. <what wrong now?> he questioned.

nick was still walking, but than suddenly stopped when he saw a hoot-hoot above him.
"hey little bird what's the matter?" he asked.

Britta
--------------------

"I'm sorry! How rude of me; my name's Britta McMartin. Pleased to meet you sir," the girl said with a polite smile, and she inclined her head a little like a sort of bow," And you?"

Peter was in utter shock. The two powerful pokemon before him didn't look too friendly-- in fact, he was sure that the Skarmory was sizing him up for dinner! Giving him the evil eye he was! Oh why didn't Britta just walk away? The boy she was talking to didn't look nice anyway.

Up in the sky, Aera had heard a boy below her say something. She peered down at him and then flew down, stopping to hover near his face. {I'm sorry did you say something? Oh! There's Britta! Sorry buddy, I gotta go!} she said, dashing off to head over to Britta, whom she had just noticed was talking with a boy.

"If you all are ready to go, then come with me." Rukario replied. With that, he called "Open the door to where power lives!" A warp hole appeared in the starry night, taking the trainers, their Pokemon, and Rukario with it.

In the magical realm...

A black haired boy clad in the uniform of a black mage knelt on the ground by a pond, a bucket of soil and a screened in box by his side. After removing his gloves, which were red with a sapphire inside the hand, and setting them aside, he picked up a spade, shoveled in some of the dirt into the screen box, and plunged it into the water, every so often shaking it to make sure all the dirt dissolved.

When the box emerged from the water, only a pile of red and green stones remained, which the boy deposited into a bag by his side.

He was about to repeat this process when a warp hole appeared, and the trainers and Rukario emerged. While most of the trainers struggled to untangle themselves, Rukario addressed him: "Sir Ash...I have returned with some willing to accept the magic..."

"Really?" Ash smiled. "That's great news!" With that he shoveled more dirt into his screen box and plunged it underwater again. "Let me finish mining this soil here..."

Nick watched how the hoot-hoot fly back to her trainer untill he had eye-contact with her.
He quickly looked back with a gentle smile,<it's seems to be a nice girl.> he thought.

Nick recovered again and turned himself in the direction of the mystic blue pokemon.
"Hey, blue creature....you want us to come with you....you want me to come?...well?" He asked with a yelling voice.
"Well if you want me to come you will have to wait....cause i'm not going anywhere without my better pokemon, you understand?"
He slowly walked towards the door of the pokemon-center awaiting an awswer.

While Nick was as himself as always, his swampert came closer to the girl with the hoot-hoot. <Hello, uhm how are you?> He asked the hoot-hoot and paras.

"Wetground!?, where are you? Come here will you?" Nick yelled while searching the area for his swampert.

Hey, no problem. My name is Darin Himoto. I came from the Hoenn region to find new pokemon and perform other tasks as well, and you didn't have to bow, really. I ain't no one important" Darin replied politely. Absol had his attention on Skarmory for a while for once. Usually, absol would completely ignore the steel bird as much as possible, but Skarmory was scaring Britta's pokemon and Absol didn't approve.

"<Cut it out Skarmory. Leave the Hoot-Hoot and Paras alone,"> Absol spoke.

"<Fine! Whatever. Besides, I wasn't even bothering them."> Skarmory lied, giving one last sinister glare at the girls pokemon. It's not that he hated them, it's just that Skarmory enjoys intimidating others.

Then a Swampert came by Britta and her pokemon. Skarmory then immediately kept his keen eyes at the water pokemon, making sure it doesn't do anything dangerous. Absol paid no attention to the Swampert, however. Then Rukario opened an unfamiliar portal of magical energy. It felt very unpeculiar and maybe unsafe, but Darin took his chances and entered the portal.

OOC: Is it okay to have up to six pokemon with you? and only use two in battle at a time.

IC;

<Uhm, my trainer is calling....will you exuse me for a moment.> Wetground walked a feet steps away, noticing the filthy look of the skarmory.

"Ahhh there you are, we got business before we go into that hole.....are you coming friend?" Nick yelled quistioning when he saw his swampert approaching.

Wetground walked towards his trainer and ended up right before his faithfull friend.
"Good, let's go inside shall we?" Nick said
"Swamp!" Wetground replyed.
