What exactly comes up when you try to save it? Does it always happen or is it a one-time thing?

Hey man, loving the game so far but have come across a bug. Whenever you return to the fossil guy for the second battle, after you beat him upon clicking which fossil you'd like an empty text box appears and the noise of receiving an item multiple times is heard before the game crashes entirely.

Okay, I've now seen this bug and I have no idea what caused it but it looks at the same time serious and hilarious how nothing in the events has caused it. I'll try to find out what's behind it and fix it right away.

are all the available pokemon evolvable or should i skip pokemon that need trades to evolve?

Yes, they are, actually. In Liyuka Town you can take part in the PWT and the rewards for completing it include a Trade Stone, which is used for evolving Pokemon that would normally evolve by trade!

I'm sorry, I tested it myself and have experienced no such thing. Could you send me a screenshot of whatever that keeps happening to your game?

From what I found on the Internet, a bug like that would appear if I tried to mess with saving scripts, which I didn't. Could you make a backup save file for your game, start a new one and see if it's possible to save it after that?

Glad to hear that. I'm sorry your progress has been lost, though. But I can't comprehend what caused that glitch to appear.

Been playing for awhile and I really like it, I've always been a sucker for anything where you get to be a bad guy and I've been looking for something like this since finishing rocket red. I kinda wish there was a pokedex or list of locations for wild pokemon somewhere though, I feel like I see the same kinda mons on every route, and I'm trying to find enough steel/psychic/electric types to stick to the whole 'Cipher' theme but I've only got three decent pokemon.
Also I liked the little spoof victory text if you cheese out a win on the forced loss early game, and Mare is best boy 10/10

Ah, thanks! I really found it to be an amazing fangame, plus I've always found the bad guys to be one of the most interesting parts of the games, so I'm glad people enjoy it as much as I do~
Ah, I really should post some info on where to find certain Pokemon, shouldn't I? xD I tried to make specific locations such as Voltaic Cave for Electric Pokemon and Weird Chasm in Edgestone Caverns for Psychic type, but as far as the Steel type goes, there really aren't that many. You could always go for Honedge/Aron/Magnemite/Ferrothorn, but there are Beldum and Pawniard to win in the PWT if you're keen on having those. A Steel type location like the two former ones will appear sooner or later, don't worry.
And ye, the early game scripted loss battle is yet another inspiration from the Rocket Red Edition xD
Plus I'm glad you like him, I wanted to make him more than a one-dimensional always-sad guy and he, along with Dimaria will definitely have more screentime as the game goes on~

Ah, I guess I just hadn't hit the type themed areas yet. I only just slogged past Edgestone before taking a break, so I haven't reached the Chasm or Voltaic Cave- or even noticed there was a PWT. I'm currently going with Magneton/Lairon/Duosion but I passed up on getting a Scyther from the game corner because I didn't know if there was a way to evolve it since I haven't seen a metal coat anywhere and it's one of those trade type mons.
Fingers crossed there's a kirlia or something in that chasm for coverage lol.

So I've hit the end of the current beta and headed over to the PWT, but it's been very buggy there for me. Trying to enter the regionals bracket crashes my game (also gives me a bunch of errors that pop up when reopening, but they don't cause crashes) and trying to get the guy to teach Thief to one of my pokemon also causes a crash. I'm not sure if it matters, but I was doing the sudden death matches since they seemed easiest. I'm also not sure if I was supposed to find a rock smash item somewhere since I never saw the Weird Chasm.
As for the rewards, one you can trade for is the Frost Breath TM, but you can buy it from the department store earlier in the game so I'm not sure if that's intended. I'd also love if you added ability or even dream capsules to the BP trader.

Those are the only crashes I've ever experienced though, and I'm looking forward to the next update!

It's me again! Probably will not be a longer reply of sorts but asking here due to being stuck and some things I've noticed! (Sort-of!)
The Staryu-Claydol trade doesn't seem to work. (The one city with the bike shop and daycare.) He said he's looking for a Claydol but that doesn't seem it?

X2 Attack Items costs $0. Yikes. Is that normal? The one shop selling it in the above mentioned city.

Also, this: not sure what happened but went 'wrongly' to the next town, since I didn't noticed the right path sort-of just exiting the northern entrance, and now not sure what I should be doing here...

On v2.2 for reference, have yet to touch the Harbor Town with a rather familiar IRL soundtrack (though I did heal there and what-not to unlock 'Flying' there).

Will (probably) be posting the images of the other errors and what-not there later. Keep up the good work! Though I'll probably wait or something first before continuing to the Harbor Town...

P.S. Maybe because I 'skipped' the long route since I went to get a bike instead for the express route? Legitimately mind you even though it's very costly. Or maybe because I left towards the town, hence the forest?, and that sort of bugged something?

Haven't gotten that far yet, but you have a baltoy, not a claydol. Have you tried evolving your baltoy into a claydol? Or is he after a Staryu?( Sorry not far enough in the game to know).

Oooh, right! I forgot Claydol is the evolved one, not the other way around. @_@; Thanks for pointing that out!

Any Pokemon that are evolved by trade can be evolved using the Trade Stone, which you can buy in the PWT, actually!

Thank you for pointing those out, it really helps me fix any bugs or errors! As of now, I've fixed all the ones you mentioned, but haven't released a patch because of the still remaining ones I'm going to try and fix now

I checked it out and you're right! I mistakenly messed up the trade in the way that you needed a Staryu to trade for a Staryu >_>;

And the prices shouldn't be this low too. That's some mistake in the scripts that I've now fixed as well xD

And yeeah, the event which was supposed to start the cutscene didn't work in the case of the Salamence, but the one next to it did, so you had to stand on the exact tile for the story to continue. That's now fixed, thank you! Your finding of any bugs is truly helpful!

Not really, those three you mentioned are the ones they're supposed to use. Any additional type to these 3 would still count as a "grunt" type.
