Appearantly there has been a thread like this but it got closed so do you use any themed pokemon teams normally i use a lot of themed teams

The first themed team is a power rangers team with bisharp as red ranger shiny bisharp as blue ranger shiny mega ampharos as pink ranger weavile as black ranger and shiny feraligatr as green ranger

The second themed team is a mexican themed team with hawlucha ludicolo bouffalant and cacturne dunno about the last 2

I personally haven't used any themed teams because I have trouble coming up with ideas, but I have helped my friend create his themed team. It took quite a lot of work with his team to create it balanced and yet fit in with the theme, but it's something I enjoy doing.

The only theme I go by is regions. I'll make teams consisting of pokemon from only 1 region.

I've tried monotype teams sometimes but it irks me when I can't fight in a balanced style in-game so I haven't been able to keep that up for long. At some point I tried fairy tale style teams, and named them Knight, Dame, King etc but I can't remember what kind of pokémon I used ;; I think it was in Leaf Green though.

Anyways, I'll move this over to Pokémon Gaming Central, since it deals with the games.

I've tried my hands on a water mono-type team in the past, if I remember right, and it seemed to have worked pretty well.

This crew consisted of Politoed, Blastoise, Ludicolo, Kingdra, Vaporeon, and Suicune (sometimes, though, I'd find myself replacing it with Zapdos as a wildcard). Politoed would set rain up as soon as it's out of its ball thanks to Drizzle (was tough to get a hold of the Pokémon with this particular ability, but it was definitely worth getting), and rest of my members would then proceed to take advantage of the weather condition and wreak some havoc.

I've used this team only when battling online, however; I'm not sure if I've ever found myself utilizing it outside of that. With its help, I've had chance to win a decent amount of battles, most of which I did actually win! Alongside, I've also tested a sun team before (it was similar, but has contained fire-type Pokémon primarily), but not in-game; it was via simulator.

When it comes to doing themes for Pokemon teams, I happen to be a master at doing Themed Pokemon Teams. Here are eight of the themes I have used for Pokemon teams:
In Blue: Star Wars Republic Commando Squads Team
    In Soul Silver: Decepticons Team
In Sapphire: Star Wars Sith Lords Team
    In Platinum: World Leaders Team
    In White: Legendary Weapons Team
    In White 2: Anti-Heroes Team
In X: World War II Ships Team
In Alpha Sapphire: Star Wars Jedi Team

I have an idea for a Power Ranger themed team, specifically for Wild Force.
(Note: NO Megas for this one)
    Red: Pyroar
    Blue: Sharpedo
    Yellow: Shiny Pidgeot
    Black: Shiny Bouffalant
    White: Shiny Purugly
    Silver: Mightyena

While I have used Monotype and Mono-Color teams before, I haven't ever used six Pokémon that fit the theme of a specific group or anything, not counting the event challenges. I'm not all that clever with thinking of what I can base a team around, sadly.

Food team, I think I saw it once, can't remember where but it was cool.
    Farfetch'd - Leek
    Vanilluxe - Ice Cream
    Pumpkhaboo - Pumkin
    Miltank - Milk or Meat
    Basculin - Fish
    Tropius - Banana

I made a team based on star constellations:
    Tauros (Taurus)
    Drapion (scorpius)
    Rapidash (Monoceros)
    Swanna (Cygnus)
    Ampharos (Aries)
    Dragonite (Draco)
