Pokemon Time Traveler's IC

This was kind of getting too crowded, which Chil did not like. He stepped back and looked around. Syrena came over to him and Jet and explained the whole map thing.

"We don't even know where we are and what year we are." Chil thought " I really shouldn't be here, this wasn't meant for me". For a moment there Chil ignored all that Syrena was explaining. He wasn't that interested to visit this 'whole new world thingy'. after Syrena was done, Chil noticed that Jet was in deep thoughts so he stepped back and looked for his Monferno. Arr, it was playing with the others.

So Chil left his cousine and cousin and went to sit on a nearby rock. It was pretty big but that wasn't a problem. Chil looked around. He saw everyone excited about this whole new world.
"What were they thinking?" Chil thought " This is one place they don't know........ and then when we arrive there was a note that was addressed to them...... and now we find a mysterious map that everyone seem to be wanting to follow this was a big mistake". Chil sat down in thoughts.

It was getting crowded now that everyone has awaken. So Chil returned back to Syrena and Jet. Jet then asked
" Let's take a vote on what to do next, between us three. All in favor of going...". Syrena raised her hands thinking about all the excitement they would have on this journey, but Chil just looked at them. Then he answered
"I'm not voting....." said Chil "I won't decide what to do. I'm making my own way". Chil then made his way to his Monferno.

Lillian Electra

Lillian watched as some people responded. Then she stared at the map that Syrena had found. "Hmm......" Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, Lillian saw a small glow in the sand. She rushed over and got it out. A crystal shard. "Whoa...." It was a bright golden.

Sparky walked around to see what was nearby, when he stepped on a paper. He motioned Lillian over. When she was over, the girl picked up the paper. Some writing was on it. She read in her mind:

Many centuries ago, a legendary hero and his heroine sister faced a great evil. The evil had appeared out of nowhere, and it sent demons to take over the land. Then, when all hope had seemed lost, when the two sibling heros had seemingly lost...IT appeared.

A large dragon, who could use the powers of grass, water, fire, normal attacks, bugs, electricity, ground, air (flying), ice, and dragon. Using this power, the dragon defeated the evil alongside the twin heros. However, there was a price....

The dragon had two choices. To die and dissapear, or to be split into eight humans. It chose the second option, so it was seperated into eight humans. However, each human had a special tie with a strange creature, a monster. These were said to become the first pokemon, legendarys at that.

The water human got Suicune.

The grass, Virizion.

Fire, Moltres.

Electric, Raikou.

Ground, Groudon.

Air, Lugia.

Ice, Kyurem.

And dragon, Dialga.

The humans and creatures formed a bond, and eventually, someone made a special capsule so they could keep the creature hidden. Then, creatures of different types, sizes, shapes, and colors roamed the land. And Pokemon were born.

Eventually, the humans were on the brink of death. At their last strength, they made a special stone, sealed them inside, and split the stone for each human. Each shard scattered to the corners of the land, so none would hopefully be found.

Lillian let it sink in. "Strange." Then, she ran over to the others. "Hey guys! See this legend!"

Jet read the legend that Lillian had handed him. When he was finished, he looked at Lillian, then back at the paper.

"Rubbish." was all that Gary said, crumpling the paper and tossing it back into Electra's hands. With that the boy headed off towards Chil, who wanted to 'make his own way.' When he caught up, Jet gave him a cold stare in the eyes.

"What do you mean you're making your own way? We came here as a group, the wisest thing is to stay as a group." he explained. VooVee finally caught sight of Syrena and ran towards her, with Jack and Beast still following.

"Vee?" it said, and it pawed her shin. When she finally looked over, VooVee rolled over to amuse the homesick girl. It then nodded its head towards Jack and BEast.

Was on the paper that Lillian showed them and wondered if it was true.

Syrena stayed sitting on the rock when Lillian called them over to see some legend. She didn't wanna get up from the rock, it was to hot for her feet to stay on the sand. Pus she felt Homesick. Syrena felt like sleeping right now, but if she did she may die of the heat. "Maybe I should just try to find water...." She thought quietly. When she was about to get up to get Paige, when a paw touched her. It looked like VooVee's. Syrena turned around to look, the Vaporeon was rolling around. It was nice of it to try but it wasn't helping. "I might aswell say thanks.."It was really hard to think in the ray of the sun. Syrena would get a Heat Stroke if she stayed here for to long. She turned and got up, then petted Voovee's head.

"Thank's VooVee, but It's not helping." Syrena made sure to make it sound nice and not mean, she she had said it in a soft, quiet voice. Paige padded over to them, her tail up as she leaped onto the Rock Syrena was sitting on before. "Might aswell go see what that legend was all about.." Syrena got up and walked to Lillian, then without a word read the letter.

Syrena stared at the legend, it was really weird. All the types were the same type's as each of the gym leader children. And the grass one was Virizion..... did that mean there Ancestors did something great? and that now they had to do it again?

"Huh?" said Chil as he got a hand nudged him making him turn around. It was Jet.

"What is wrong with you? What do you mean you want to make your own way? We came here altogether, we gotta say together" said Jet seriously. Chil got really nervous. He didn't want to stay here and even more, he was dying in this heat. He could barely walk and further more, Chil heard some chattering at the back. It was coming from where lilian was.

Legends.....Dragons.....Legendaries......Two heros. Those were the words that Chil heard from afar. It hit Chil's mind then. What if he goes with them, then try to slip out without them noticing, it was a good idea but Chil put it as a second option.

"There's some chattering there" Chil thought. Chil made his way to the little group where everyone has gathered up. It was very noisy with everyone asking whats going on and on about some legend stuff. Chil then saw Syrena, he walked up to her

"Sorry for what i said,... But i'm not comfortable about all of this" Chil apologies in a silent tone "What's all this rumbling?? And why is everyone asking about dragons and legends?"

Feeling rather insulted that Chil merely walked to Syrena without responding to him, Gary sighed and began walking towards the group, before he felt his left foot suddenly sink.
"Nng..." Gary grunted, as his left leg was submerged to his ankle. Loose sand? He tugged to get it lose, but to no avail. To his horror, it started sinking further. Gary realized what had happened: there was a small pit, unable to notice at first glance. Jet refused the option to call for help...instead, he inched towards the pit and with his fingers made a small moat around his left leg. He then started to wiggle it, and soon found that the pit's pull was strong.
"Vee!" he suddenly heard. VooVee ran out of the group and towards Jet in such a manner as if to attract attention. As if it wanted help. Jet glared at his pokemon. He needed no help. This was a minor setback. However, VooVee let a small misty spray of water hit the area around Jet's leg, and Gary finally pulled it out. He wondered if the group noticed his flaw. Taking a rock, he threw it in the pit in frustration...but as it sunk, the last bit was pulled. Jet realized that there was something on the other side. But no matter, the group was his main concern. Brushing off grains of sand from his pants, Jet walked to the group like nothing ever happened. Meanwhile VooVee growled at the pit.

Icy saw VooVee and walked over to it and saw it growling at the pit and started to growl at the pit also. Rafael saw that he had almost sunk but decided not to say anything because he didn't want to start problems with anybody in the group. He walked over to Icy and smiled slightly. He then sat down on a nearby rock and waited for the others to leave so he could follow. He didn't want to start a conversation with anybody. He wasn't really one to talk. Icy looked over at her master and smiled slightly and noticed something different about him but just shook it off like it was nothing.

" Icy come here please " He said to his Glaceon who obeyed what her master told her to do.

VooVee was a bit happy to see that a fellow pokemon had joined it, until Rafael called it away. Meanwhile, Jet was mildly curious as to why both the eeveelutions growled. 'It's nothing...' he thought. What they needed to do was find the blue flower and continue the journey...why were they all standing still? So he walked over to the group, and raised his voice to be heard.

"Hey guys. We're in the past, right? And the note said that we can't show off our pokemon, am I correct? That means that whoever wrote it expects us to get into a populated area with people. Otherwise, that detail wouldn't be written. So, the obvious thing to do is to see where these notes lead us...finding this blue flower is one in eight thousand one hundred ninety-two, but it's the only thing we've got. So let's stop dawdling and move on, okay? We can talk on the way there."

Jet then walked one direction, before pausing. Everywhere looked the same. The only landmark was the pit. Which way was north? Which way to head first? Not letting anybody know that he was inevitably lost, he decided to let somebody in the group walk off first. He didn't have the map. VooVee on the other hand tired of staring at the pit and headed off towards Scorch. It let out a small cry, and seemed to have a small conversation with him. Not that Gary cared.

Jack and Beast followed VooVee to it's previous location, but soon noticed it was already gone. "Great, that Vaporeon dissapeared on us. But, I have the feeling that people were here. Not sure where these people went off to. Beast, can you possibly pick up that Vaporeon's scent?" Jack said. Beast sniffed around to try to get VooVee's scent. After about a few minutes, Beast got the scent. "Beast, you got the scent?" Jack asked and Beast simply nodded. "Perfect. Follow the scent of that Vaporeon." Jack said as Beast started running in the direction he had a good sense of VooVee's scent with Jack following.

Jet waited, before observing two small figures in the distance. They were coming in the direction of the pit...Gary wondered if they knew it was there. Or what if they were natives? But one of the figures didn't look quite human. Gary squinted, and finally shrugged it off as he would find out about those two as soon as they showed up. He turned back to the group.
"Come on guys...It's about time we headed off."

Syrena felt like she was going to pass out in this heat, she used her hand to try and make some wind but it didn't work. Syrena jumped when she heard a voice behind her, it was Gary. He said. "Sorry for what i said,... But i'm not comfortable about all of this. What's all this rumbling? And why is everyone asking about dragons and legends?" Syrena tried to make it seem like she wasn't to hot, she breathed, looked at Lillian then back at her cousin. "Lillian found some note, paper thing..." Syrena breathed of the heat, her head was starting to hurt a little bit. "About some legend and a dragon, go see.." She managed to say to him. Syrena sighed and used her hand as a fan once more. Not a moment later Jet began to speak.

We can talk on the way there." He said. Syrena saw him look around the place, so she did too. Everything looked so the same, how would they ever find there way out? "Come on guys...It's about time we headed off." Jet finished.

Syrena nodded wearily, it was gonna come, she was going to do it. Syrena stopped fanning herself and fell over on her back, she had fainted because of the heat. Her hair scattered all over and her hat had fallen off. Paige had come over and began to lick Syrena rapidly on her cheek, but she wouldn't wake.

Syrena looked at Lillian then back at Chil. "Lillian found some note, paper thing..." she continued "About some legend and a dragon, go see..".

Chil was curious now. Which year 'were' they in? This was confusing. "If...if this was a year were dragons and legends were still around and being made and the discovery of pokemons were still undiscovered then this asks a much more bigger question," Chil being deeply engulfed by his thoughts "How did the person who wrote that note knew about pokemons??".

As Chil was deeply in thoughts a loud voice was heard and it disrupted Chil's consentration. It was no doubt his boastful cousin Jet

We can talk on the way there." Chil was irritated by Jet thinking he was the leader, although it was Jet's attitude. Jet continued "Come on guys...It's about time we headed off."

"Tsk, so we're moving out" Chil said "I'd better go find Scorch". Talking about Scorch, he was playing in the sand with the other pokemon happily. The sun's heat didn't affect him for he was a fire type pokemon, but for Chil it was killing him.

Chil wandered around looking for Scorch but something happened. As he was on his way to turn around, Chil saw Syrena fainted on the ground.

"NO,NO,NO,NOOO" Chil screamed "JET, JET GET OVER HERE, SOMETHINGS WRONG WITH SYRENA"

Gary frowned. But, VooVee was a water pokemon, right?
"Crud...she's passed out due to exhaustion and fatigue. That night we headed out, she must've skipped on dinner or water or something." Gary, said. But the heat was beginning to affect him too. Brushing sweat from his forehead, Jet turned to his beloved Vapreon.
"VooVee, give her a light mist!"

Not really an attack, but VooVee did it none the less. Through it's tongue, it blew out a gentle breeze of water, misting Syrena's face. Jet then turned to Chil.
"You sure do know how to panic." he said coldly. Taking charge, he then kneeled down and checked for a pulse. Syrena was in stable condition.

"She's in no danger." Gary said. He had seen much harder recoveries. Upon thinking of that, he envisioned Cress in the hospital. In critical condition, his own father in that horrible state because of his miserable attempt at becoming a hero.

"Pour some power on." said Gary, directing it at VooVee. VooVee obeyed, pouring out a more concentrated mist, restoring fluids to Syrena's body.
But Gary couldn't help but notice sputters in the mist. The dry desert air was getting to his Vapreon. Soon, his Vapreon's water type moves would be weak and desolate if they didn't reach the next task in their journey soon.
"When Syrena wakes, we must begin our quest. Understood? Chil. You and I should stay with Syrena and hope that she is okay. Lillian, tell the others we need a supply check: what exactly do we have on our persons? Inform people that we're setting off tomorrow."

Jet then realized that he wasn't the leader. But, he shrugged it off. It was the sensible thing to do. And besides, most everyone had common sense in the group. Right?

Syrena layed still on the ground, her heart was still pumping but it could stop soon. In her dream, Syrena was in a dark place. "W-where am I? Gary, Chil? where are you..." Syrena stood up in the dark room. She looked around. Behind her, in the distance, was a green light. Sorta like the one that may have teleported them back in time. Without saying a word, Syrena slowly walked towards the light. A little scared. "Hello?" She said, stopping only a meter away from the green light. Syrena raised her hand to touch the Green Light but everything was fading, the Green light was away and the whole room was collapsing. The rook became all white, and Pillar's started to from from the sky. One came dropping down from right above Syrena, she put her hands over her head and squeezed her eye's shut.

A big gasp came from Syrena, she opened her eye's and was back at the desert. Jet was kneeling down near her, and everyone else was looking at her. "Gary!" Syrena immediately hugged her cousin tight. She was glad to be back in the desert. Paige came over to Syrena and waved her tail on her. Syrena stopped hugging Jet and looked at her pokemon then stood up. "What happened?" She asked Jet quietly.

Jet was a bit surprised at the hug, but brushed it off as if nothing ever happened. When his cousin asked what had happened, Gary stood up and took a breath.

"You seem to have been exhausted by the heat. My pokemon was able to help bring you back to the physical realm." he said. VooVee gave a friendly cry, and licked it's somewhat dry lips before rubbing it's face against Syrena's. The vapreon then looked the small girl in the eyes, with a look that seemed to ask:
'Are you alright?'

Gary then turned to Chil, then back to Syrena.
"The heat is worse than we thought. Even I'm...er...we're all sweating and tired. As I said, we must get going soon. The evening will be cooler. Why don't we take a while to just recoil after the recent event and set off then?"

He then walked over to Chil, and spoke softly so that Syrena wouldn't hear.
"That panicking of yours was kind of unsettling...Don't let it happen again."

Before he walked off, he paused and whispered one final thing:
"But do keep an eye on Syrena. Make sure she doesn't start stumbling or panting or act unusual..."

He would've asked the cousin to keep an eye on himself as well, but didn't. Gary didn't want Chil to know that he wanted somebody by his side. Jet would rather everyone look at him as an independent person rather than just part of their confused little group. But, Jet was still determined to keep a sharp eye out for his two cousins. His friends.

Jet quickly made his way to Chil and Syrena. He ignored Chil and gave all his attention to Syrena lying on the floor. Chil stepped aside, still worried about Syrena, and looked as Jet took over.

Jet instantly demanded a water gun from his vaporeon.
"What's he doing?" Chil thought " Is he trying to save Syrena or is he trying to kill her himself?". The whole lot of kids gathered around Syrena. The vaporeon sprayed a good amount of water in Syrena's face and she suddenly woke up. It seemed as she had forgotten what happened too for she was asking what happened after giving Jet a hug.

Chil stood back. He was happy to see that his cousine was alright.
"Charrr......" said Scorch from behind Chil. He had seen what happened and he was a bit worried too, but not much. Scorch climbed Chil's back and sat on his owners shoulders.

Chil stood there for a while and was about to turn back when Jet came.
"The panicking thing was kind of unsettled..... Don't let it happen again" said Jet. Chil ignored the remark. He knows his attitude and surely this was his worried attitude that kicked in. Then Jet told Chil to watch over their cousine, Syrena. She was sensible and fragile and that's why she need most attention.

With that, Jet walked away. Deep down in Chil's heart though, he had already placed the safety of Syrena as a first priority. It was his cousine and she seemed to be the top leader right now.
"Don't worry Jet, i'll take care of her" whispered Chil, and he made his way to Syrena.
"Um are you feeling ok Syrena?" asked Chil "Um....Ca...n....Can we get going now?"

Gary watched as his own cousin, Chil, attempted to talk to Syrena. While he was doing so, Jet noticed that VooVee was missing.
--
VooVee was also in the cluster around Syrena, close to Chil. It's voice cracked a bit when it gave a small cry, proving that its moisture was a bit lower than usual. The Vapreon sat down by Syrena's side. Why? Gary figured that his pokemon just wanted to make sure that the poor child was alright. But, Jet had no time for that. She was stable, and didn't need any emotional support or any help getting back onto her feet. In Gary's mind, if you are able to do something, do it without asking for help. The stronger, the more emotionless, the better. But VooVee didn't really seem to care. Jet was a bit reminded of his old self while looking at his pokemon. He exhaled a sigh, and after hesitating, called the Vapreon over.

Syrena would need help. He was glad that VOoVee was there. But that side of him that screamed "Let her do it herself" was still there. He had a minor conflict with himself:
-He told Chil to look after Syrena. Why? Was he weak? He acknowledged that he cared for his cousin, but caring enough to want to protect her? He remembered his vow to not let anyone get hurt. He sat down, believing the heat must be getting to him. If he wasn't going to let anyone get hurt, but he wanted people to be stronger by being independent and without help...the two sides of him clashed. He turned to VooVee, who had trotted up to him. It seemed to sense that he was troubled. VooVee gave a comforting cry, with its dry voice, and nodded it's head towards Syrena. Jet realized that he did want to protect his cousins...Chil and Syrena more than anything else. The others could survive wihtout help. So Gary decided to make an exception to his policy:
"If you truly care about one, and wish to protect, follow your vow and do so."

And currently, he was determined not to let anything happen to his cousins.

"You seem to have been exhausted by the heat. My pokemon was able to help bring you back to the physical realm." Gary explained to Syrena. She sighed sadly, why did she have to be so.... so, well there wasn't even a word for it. VooVee looked up at Syrena, nice Vaporeon. She patted it's head and smiled at the creature. Then Paige, her trusty Leafeon padded by and hopped on Syrena's lap. She gave a slight purr to her trainer before smiling and relaxing in her legs. Syrena then began to pet her slowly while watching both of her cousins talking in the distance. What were they talking about over there? Paige blinked, she was also watching them blankly. Not sooner, Chil made his way over to Syrena.

"Um are you feeling ok Syrena?" he asked, "Um....Ca...n....Can we get going now?" Syrena sighed. "Uh--Yea." Syrena turned to see VooVee next to her. But Gary called the Vaporeon away. She turned back to Chil, and stood up which made Paige fall down on four paw's. Paige hissed, but Syrena didn't care. "But uh-- where are we gonna go? Do you think we should follow the clue on the note?" She asked curiously. A few minuet's before Syrena had read a note saying they wen't back in time, and there was a sort of riddle thing about a blue antidote or something. "Wonder what the Antidote look's like..." She thought to herself.

If they were heading to the Antidote, then they would be going to Mosquito Meadow... or was it some other place? Syrena's memory wasn't the best.

Gary looked at the sand pit. The same pit that he had accidently stuck himself in. There was no sense of direction for the boy, as he was completely and utterly lost. However, what if one of the documents had the sand pit marked? It was pretty big...and there was obviously something underneath it as VooVee had growled at it. Who's to say it wasn't a landmark? Or possibly, perhaps the entrance to the path taht led to the supposed antidote. Or maybe it was nothing, and Jet was overthinking it. Either way, it was the only option that he had. But if he told the others about it, would that mean exposing that he had needed help? Had a weakness? But, he did get out. And he got out on his own...so, it didn't really count as a...

VooVee gave a cry out. An agonized cry. Gary turned around, if only out of mere curiousity and saw his pokemon panting. Yes, they would need to be going soon. He looked back at the pit. Maybe it was cooler...maybe it was a shrine full of ghost pokemon and that's why VooVee was afraid. Or maybe it was just a bunch of sand, and he'd suffocate himself. Either way, it was probably minor. But Gary felt the heat begin to get to him as well. Walking over to his two cousins, he let out a sigh.

"Syrena, can I see the map? There's something that bothers me..."

As he awaited a response, VooVee was doing some strange things. It stuck it's paw in the sand, closed it's eyes, tehn gave a dissapointed look. As if it was looking for something. It panted, and stuck it's paw into yet another spot. Water. It wanted water. It let out a small "Water Gun!" inside it's mouth for some fluids. But, yet, he still felt hot...but how? Water Pokemon were supposed to be able to be damp in the desert, to be unbothered by this sort of heat. But, this desert was hotter than normal. VooVee couldn't help but face the facts.
