Pokemon: Trainer Academy

"Ugh.." Nathan said. "Maybe we should have a battle next time." "I think the Academy will open soon. Plus you're pokemon is tired and it isn't fair." Nathan waved a short wave good bye and smiled as he walked towards the doors. There was a large, loud chant but suddenly it stopped. As Nathan reached the others at the doors and stared in silence and curiousity waiting for the next move he felt sop excited he had to take deep breaths to calm himself down.

(OOC: Daj is off, so he isn't going to open the doors until he goes on again. Which is usually a two day interval. [From what I have noticed]. But when he was on it was about his character, not about the gate opening. I guess he wants us to make the gates open by making us writing about it? [Again this is a theory].)

"It might take even a longer time for the doors to open," Mel had sighed. She started to rummage into her bag that was slung on the wheelchair. She knew she had something in there that she could do.

Mel managed to grab what she was looking for, a novel her aunt had given her before she left. She was a moderate fan of books, it was just that books released these days were really bad.

She just stayed where she was and began to read.

"Whhaat!?" Nathan yelled in anger. "We have been waiting for ages, we are tired and hungry!"
He ran back to Mel and Raine. "Hey guys, what if this is a test; a test of patience." "At the moment.." he said "I'm failing." Nathan chuckled. "What's wrong Raine?" You seem nervous. "I used to be nervous and timid too escpecially when my mum di-" Nathan stopped hoping they didn't notice the awkward pause.

Mel looked up, "So your parents died t-"

Mel stopped. What was she thinking? She barely knew Nathan and she was about to tell him about her parents. It was still a sensitive topic, so sensitive that most of her friends at Fallarbor Town didn't even know.

Steven entered the area where the group of people were standing.
"I heard some people were hungry?" he asked "Well I do have some soup here if anyone wants any. I brought it incase I got hungry on the boat, but the ride wasn't as long as I thought it would be, anyway, I'll be over by the clearing near the forest, so if anyone wants some soup, don't hesitate to drop by"

With that, Steven walked over to the edge of the forest and began to cook his soup.

Andy grew bored of the crowd. He instead, turned around and decided to explore the potential routes he could go running on. He moved toward the back of the crowd and spotted the handicapped girl he had talked to briefly.

He walked up and turned to Mel. "Sorry about the hasty greeting... what was your name again? I'm Andy, by the way." He turned to the others. "Did I interrupt something?"

Raine stayed silent she was fine with just two people but more than that just made her even more nervous and shy. "Why can't i just get some self esteem" she thought angrily to herself still tense from before.

Mel quickly turned to the voice that had addressed her.

"Oh no you didn't," Mel lied through her teeth, he interrupted the awkward silence, but that was fine, "My name is Mel."

She let out a laugh, "You have the same name as my Wartortle!"

"I am like that to talking about that topic of my history." "Sorry for being insensitive, I can get reckless sometimes and don't think." Nathan felt happy that he knew he wasn't alone in his situation; but he was sad and knew even he in his situation was better off than Mel who was in a wheelchair. It made his fiery passion pass , it put it out. "So guys what are you reading?" Nathan didn't like to read books he prefered to read trainer information on the computers. "By the way;; I havent introduced you to my pokemon." "Come on out guys!" Nathan called. "Skarmory, Trapinch and Swablu cheerfully came out and welcome Mel and Raine. "I just caught Skarmory recently. Here in fact; above the shore." Nathan immediately heard Steven's offering. "THANKS STEVEN HE YELLED; I'LL COME OVER LATER!" He waved and returned to the conversation. "Heey, I don't think I've met you." Nathan said to Andy. "Nice to meet you."

Raine looked up "This is on of the Pokemon Journals my dad wrote, he was a scientist in Professor Oaks lab before..." she cut herself off looking back down she had just met these people they probably would just make fun of her for being so weak because of it just like the kids back home.

"Oh really?" He laughed at the idea of the Wartortle having the same name as him.

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too!" He turned to Mel. "I'm sorry, what was your name again?"

"Just a novel I got from my aunt," Mel replied to Nathan's question, "I don't usually read much these days because most novels that are released these days are bad."

She had turned her attention to Raine, "Was? Sorry for prying, you don't have to answer if you don't want to."

Mel had turned her attention back at the new comer, Andy, "Mel."

"It's fine...no ones really asked before usually they make fun of me for how i was affected by it. When i was four my parents died in an accident on the Magnet train when going to visit Professor Elm... i was the only one able to identify their bodies...thats the day i changed" Raine said trying in desperation not to cry from the painful memory feeling some sort of relief from finally telling someone what had made her into the scared and shy person she was now.

Steven could smell the waft of the scent of the soup. It began to drift off into the crowd and many heads turned in delight to see a source off food. People were starting at Steven and he started to feel very uncomfortable. Steven turned to Marshtomp.
"Hey buddy, can you go and get Nathan for me?" he asked, as some of the crowd members began to approach him.
"Marsh Marsh" said Marshtomp
"Thanks Tom" replied Steven as Marshtomp ran off looking for Nathan.

Mel had wheeled over to Raine and patted her. She bit her lip she wanted to comfort her, showing them that she wasn't alone, but she would have to share about the accident. It was only fair if Mel shared it too, since Raine shared it. She swallowed some saliva and decided to tell her, it was only fair.

"My parents and my sister died in a car accident. It's how I ended up like this," Mel said, pointing at her legs. She had given Raine a blunt, simplified version of it, but it would be enough. She had a hard time actually mustering it out of her mouth. Mel wasn't comfortable talking about it, which was why she never told her friends in Fallarbor Town about it.

Andy sniffed the air, and his stomach grumbled, loudly. He smelled the soup, and, paying no attention to the crying girl, he said "Gotta run guys, I smell soup!!!" And with that, he departed. He hadn't even heard what Mel had said.
