Pokemon Violet

Pokemon Violet began as 'Pokemon: Crion Adventures' back in 2003.
Orignaly Crion had a tropical climate right accross the land, but this has since changed and can only be found on certain parts of Crion Isles now.

In the land of Crion, Geological Researchers have began to be reported as missing
For what reason, nobody knows and do not seem to want to know
A proffessor in his 40's risks his life to explain what he knows and sets
you on your journey to solve this mystery. There is a lot more, but that would spoil it.

Certain significant buildings you may find in Crion:

*Research Centers

*Boating Shops

*Libaries

*Schools

*Jaymore University

*Fallout Shelters

Oh I forgot to mention Crions positioning in the Pokemon World,
I is West of Johto, North of Naljo, North West of Rijon, and East of Mikon; one of my other lands which has a small part to play in this game.

But, last time, I was asking about the world map. Is that a "base" of how the map will look? Because if I remember, it's a hack of Red, so I doubt it'll be that colorful.

I did it in gold first as a guide to doing it in red as explained further down. I could if I wanted make it a GBC game but im not experienced enough to have more than 4 colours, I wouldnt want to anyway it would remove the whole "feel" of Violet. Red uses RLE compression to store its map, so it is difficult typing the map as once you;ve typed it all out its not as easy going back to it after ward and correctin mistakes e.g. of Iyouwanted to lay down 5 water tiles and 7 land tiles in gold, you would type "04 04 04 04 04 06 06 06 06 06 06 06" in red with its RLE compression it would be "4567", lookinf at the document I created line one of crion is
48 91 61 81 44 A1 64.

*The tiles in the screenshot are still being worked one, which is the reason some look a bit rubish.

All I say now is you will go to one part of where those connecting routes go, which as you see are East,South, and West.

All "bugs" in the screenshots are no longer there. Also the font was not suitable for the main game font, so I am working on somthing new.

A note on the Lands I posted there:

All but Sulon have been featured in betas, screenshots of my other games, and play a part somwhere in Violet, you wont necessarilary be visiting them, but they are however still important.

Sorry for the late update, like I siad in my previous post iv alot on at the minute.

Iv been working on getting the connections right also working on the professor oak 'walk you to his lab' code, I will put a video up as soon as its finished, which was my plan for the update but other matters have prevented me from doing so

Also, in Pokemon Prism there's a sea route leading off the top of the Naljo map, is CBM intertwining your hack with his or something? You two would also make a great pair at hacking lol.

Sulon was part of Pokemon Cobalt and Pokemon Beryl.

Well the Rosé (pronounced Rose'ay) Islands was in a hack called Pokemon Zen I did awhile ago, I cant rememeber if I actually gave it to people. Back then they were actually called the Olay Islands but I decided to 'Olay' as it was jsut a place holder till I found a good name that wasnt ripping off a Moisturising product :P and had some relevance to the islands story.

Gakto was in another red hack of mine, i'll go fish out some of its stuff to show, iv attached an image of Gakto when it used to be above Crion.

What it is all about 3 and a half years ago i set out to create a whole world of pokemon lands and took out ones that would be good fro the Crion stories.

Yes Naljo is connected to Crion, have you talked to the man on the broken bridge i Prisim on Route 75?

P.S. I found a really old advert banner for violet. It has no antialising on the text, but im working to redo of the whole banner as the source file is back on my computer at my parents house hence I cant just take that and antialise it.

My first idea was to model my own world after Sherwood forest to make a robin hood story, the end result was poor but it was all complete minus various text editing. Then I had been playing Dtyler's/ER translations Orange Island Adventures and tried to carry on from where he left off, but not knowing what islands there were I left it, at the same time I had found Coolboyman's Pokemon Brown beta, so this inspired me to create a hack around a new land called Crion, and having had most of my experience in hacking upto that point with RBGY I made it a red hack. Anyway I think it was 2004 that Crion moved from miles and miles north of Kanto (I had some idea of some misty area of sea just above Kanto at the time, which turned out quite good as look what is now in that misty bit of sea: Shinnou [I will have to double check my notes on that though])
to next to Johto, then when Naljo came I wasn't expecting Coolboyman to acknowledge Crions existence in his version of the Pokemon World so I just put it in an alternate universe, but that alternate universe disappeared when announced that Crion is above Naljo, that was great, it meant I was actually able to include a part of it in my game Violet.

So CBM just included it and you're ok with it? Well obviously you are but ya'know...

Nice hack, Especially since is a hack of Red.

That means limited tools but it also means that you have to have Good knowledge
of Hex to make this hack work.

There's a Red Tool called Pokepic Decompression, something like that.
It inserts and Exports sprites and replaces them.

Iv no plans to change the pics anyway its not an important matter, its the story implementation that is the important part.
