    I never really had an interest in Porygon. I can hardly ever get to the library this time of year (It's my wi-fi hotspot) so I can't evolve it. And I never liked it.

    Hyper Beam Porygon-Z is incredible, even though its probably the biggest glass cannon possible. I tried a Nasty Plot, Substitute, Hyper Beam, Dark Pulse set once, with Adaptability of course, ended up OHKOing a Blissey, but it failed otherwise!

    Porygon is a pretty cool guy. But Porygon2 is cooler. Porygon-Z is full of fail.

    Because 135 Sp. Attack and OU is fail :|

    Porygon=awesomesauce.
    However, he did lack a lot of the good things both of his evolutions had(lets face it, porygon 2 has fighting potential as well) and his name seemed like poking fun at Japanese stereotypes, but that's just me.

    Because THATS not paradoxical at ALL. Porygon-Z took some major hits when Platinum came a-rolling and the generation of too many steel types came to order, but he had a LOT of merit in DP. I think he still does when used correctly, if you get past the 1500 rating area and start hitting more stall, the right Porygon-Z can be helpful, especially one that can OHKO Blissey.

    The Porygon evo line has a huge movepool, which means it'll able them to learn tons of moves, plus it's unique moves Recycle and stuff. It's also a troll because it's the grand prize of the casino in G/S/C and LG/FG. Which means we've done a lot of effort to get this guy in which we are dissappointed because it's weak, compared to Dratini. But since it can evolve into a much more powerful(and useful) pokemon, it'll be worth a while?

    Porygon- Z is amazing!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Overall the Porygon line is "amazing." However, between Porygon's second stage evolution (Porygon2) and it's third stage (Porygon-Z), I believe Porygon2 would be my given choice. It's defensive status is a bit more reliable than that of Porygon-Z's. I mean Porygon-Z has great stats, especially for the more offensive side, but when it comes to at least hanging on, it can be a bit edgy. Now, here I am talking competitive play wise, but regardless I prefer Porygon2 over Porygon-Z not only strategically, but also in design.
    However, Porygon before its evolutions came by has always been an amazingly designed and thought up Pokémon of the first 151.
    I had Porygon2 with Curse in Gen2. More amazing than Mars!
    Now have Porygon Lv94. Conversion will never be forgotten. Sharpen sucks but I found some intrigue with PoryZ Sharpen.
    Porygon also looks better than a balloon animal.
    I remember drawing it as a tank. With Indiana Jones dangling off a leg.
    ...I wish there was at least a Move Tutor in HG/SS that had Curse, it would have really helped boost Trick-Room Porygon2s. Focus Blast wouldn't hurt either.
    Anyways:
    Conversion is most useful for getting STAB bonuses and making Porygon a bit harder to counter (though it's still not exactly sturdy, and in most serious battles, the most it can hope for is to be 3HKOed if not 2 or 1.)
    And Porygon-Z with Sharpen is not necessarily a bad thing (Porygon-Z has perhaps one of the best melee attack animations in PBR, and Z usually needs physical moves or Hyper Beam/Nasty Plot in order to be any sort of a threat to Blissey), make sure to also give Z Return in order to take full advantage of Adaptability. You might also want to keep some Special moves on Z, since letting a 135 base Special Attack go to waste is a terrible thing.
    I really like the shiny forms of pokemon, as well as the drinking bird look of porygon two.
    Porygon Z's animation makes me giggle as well.
    I've never really like Porygon, personally. :\ I've gotten it in each game, but I've never actually wanted to use it in my party.
    Porygon is pretty sweet, Porygon2 is a massive tank, and Porygon-Z is just so powerful is wipes everything away. I also invented Porygon-X, an alternate Porygons evolution that follows the defensive line, so overall Porygon is awesome, fakemon or not :P
    I never had easy access to trading, so I couldn't use Porygon to its fullest potential. But the awesomeness lies in the availability of a Lv 1 stage 2 Pokémon
    Snorlax is better. It learns pretty much the same attacks and has better stats
    But Snorlax doesn't have Trace. And Porygon also has a more reliable healing move in Recover, and it can pull of Ice Beam and Thunder Bolt better then lax can with it's higher Special Attack.
    Such is really pointless to discuss tough, now that Porygon2 is in NU, you're much better off using 2 for just about every tier (and everyone knows that Porygon2 and Snorlax serve different purposes), though basic Porygon is still potent in Little Cup.
    Porygon has always been a Pokemon that's interested me, but I've never actually trained one since I never had the patience to get one at any of the series' Game Corners. Plus, never had the patience to go outta my way to catch one in the Trophy Garden =/ After reading some of the posts here though, I may just hold out to get one.
    Ah, Porygon.. I never trained one, but I think its moveset is great. I expected more from Porygon-Z, my opinion. But Porygon is part of my life..
    When I was young, my cousins told me that Porygon was made of paper, like an origami.
    And Porygon2 was made of balloons..
    At Art class, i drew a Porygon-Z, Romero Brito style. My teacher didn't like it very much..
    I never really understood why there's that promo card called Cool Porygon. Is there a Cool Porygon2??
