4th Gen Potential line-up?

Starter Pokemon for HGSS

My team will probably change indefinitely throughout my playtime throughout the game, but here are the generic Pokemon I'll have in the game:

  • Meganium
  • Snorlax
  • Espeon
  • Tyranitar
 
Here're the candidates - it is hard to pick which six right now:

Aaaand that's all I can remember. I'll be keeping all of them, I think.

Wow, seems like everyone that has a Typhlosion needs an Ampharos also.

I honestly don't know. I'll just wait till I get the game. And when I do, I'll just adapt my team to the gameplay. But I'll try to get my old Crystal team and aim to get those Pokemon in SoulSilver.

I just hope they didn't remove that Shiny Gyarados. It was so fun catching it and owning Red at the end with it. =D
 
It depends on what starter I choose.

If I choose Chikorita:
Politoad (or Corsola), Houndoom, Noctowl, Ampharos, Espeon.

If I choose Cyndaquil:
Jumpluff, Umbreon, Noctowl, Lanturn, Sneasel.

If I choose Tododile:
Houndoom, Jumpluff (or Bellossom or Sunflora), Noctowl, Ampharos, Espeon.


(Since my Azumarill, Gyarados, Vaporeon, Mr. Mime, Gengar, and Dragonite are all level 80 or higher in my Platinum, I won't be using these in Heart Gold or Soul Silver.)

Alternate Pokemon: Stantler (Never have used him.) Aipom (maybe), Larvitar (idk), Sudowoodo (B/c Rock moves are super effective against Ice Types.)

well I usually have multiple teams by the time I reach Mt. Silver but I'll put down my favourite team that I'll most likely kep with me at all times when I don't need another team.

Well, if I don't do my normal theme (which I posted earlier) I would definitely go with a rounded team such as:

IDK. As Beachy said, I too want to be how i was eight years ago. :O Il'l probably end up with a Feraligator, and possibly a Lugia. but almost anything goes. :)

I don't know about the rest of the team, but I'll definitely be starting out with Cyndaquil. I used it in G/S/C and will never bother with either of the other two starters. It's not that I think they're no good or anything, but Cyndaquil is hands down my favorite starter ever.

Me + Cyndaquil = BFFs. Totally.

I'm thinking of just letting my team build itself with what I catch as I progress but I might add certain ones from my original save file (that still exists(Go me!)) and maybe just add some of my favourites like Gligar/Gliscor.

So it will probably be something along the lines of:
-Typhlosion
-Gliscor
-Reddy (Shiny Gyarados) Yes, I'm going to give it the same nickname as the original.
-Ross (Ho-oh)

Not sure on last two places yet. Tyranitar, Venusaur, something from Ice Path are all possibilities.
 
i think I'm going to start with a Typhlosion. My team would be:

Typhlosion- Starter
Noctowl- Flyer (I always need it for my team)
Scizor- with false swipe (catcher, though)
Ambipom/ Gliscor/ Weavile- (if the 4th gen will be included) or Tauros
Octillery- Surfer (essential to a team)
Crobat- (of course, my all time fave pokemon)

It's just from scratch.

I am personally not to excited about HG/SS. The only reason I'm getting it is so I can say I now conquered all the regions with my Hoenn team. i started with Hoenn. So, I'll continue with Hoenn.

But I guess I could add a Houndoom. He's my fav Johto, but I rarely use him.
