Oh, I know. But I wanted to force it on the player. And the reason why I'm not spoilering the gym (I used to) was that I couldn't open the spoilers myself w/o me actually editing the post, which I found extremely annyoing due to me being slightly egosentric and wanting to see my work in its full glory.
I love the fact that both of us made flying-gyms though!
EDIT: This thread is EASILY one of the biggest in terms of pagelength. Heck, even the wandering couldn't beat something like this.

well, after me not thinking and just typing, i thought it over and i won't change it. why? well, focus blast isn't that very accurate, and i think Omnious wind (being a ghost type) works because, sure you can kill rock, steel, and Dark types with Focus Blast, but Ghost types can hit pretty much everything and do some decent damage, and because Darkrai has Dark types moves, he can hit normal types. so thats why i'm keeping Omnious Wind. but thank you for telling me this.

Ah, yeah. I wonder how Maci is implenting this in [personal gender 3rd person word] hack..
But if you've played the generation IV games (which I assume you have, but I'll still explain this anyway), there's a physical and special split in the moves now, so to say that not all Fighting-type moves are physical anymore, and not every single Psychic-type move are special etc...
So, Focus Blast is a special move, and thus will recieve the boost from NP, whilst giving far better coverage w/o hitting off Darkrais iffy 65-ish base Attack.
(And if you are thinking that all Fighting-type moves are physical due to gen I-III, then I must inform you that Ghost-type moves also physical in those generations, so no matter what Focus Blast is more viable :P)

Actually, yeah, Phantom, if that happens, we could send off Vladimir and Polonaise as a Leader duo! Sounds pretty cool to me; I mean we had like, one leader duo in the real games, which really should have been implemented more in the games, to be quite honest...

I probably won't have any time to post a new gym for Round 6, but hopefully I will be back for Round 7. I will probably save that ground gym for myself now, if I decide to start rom hacking any time soon.

Gym nerd speech: Hey champ, how are you? Kinda dark huh? Well, lets hope your prepared with Fighting and Bug types, because the leader here is a master of Dark types. Good luck!
Puzzle:
There are 10 rooms with 10 buttons that will light up and dim the area, and narrow pathways to each room, and if you fall, you go back to the start, but noting happens to your pokemon. 5 buttons light up the area, but 5 will dim the area. when you defeat the leader, push the button and the whole area will light up fully. the order of the buttons will be with the trainer i post. i'll say "Dim" or "Light" after the sprite. Light=light up the room. Dim= dim the room. You also have to defeat 5 trainer and press 5 of the trainers buttons before you can face the leader. The door where the leader is has a trap that will bring you back to the start while one of your pokemon with get a random status affliction (Brun, Poison, ect.). To make it so no one picks the leader door without knowing, there will be a sign with the words, "Leader Daniel's room".

I've already started work on another gym that utilizes the tile mechanic and allows for transformations, not to mention one that is a little less constricted in my Pokémon choice. It'll probably be out within a day or two, so get yourselves ready, because I'm pulling out all the stops!

Right now, I'm planning to go with a Dragon Gym.
The tile gimmick is still in effect, and it's going to be much broader than a single, set transformation. In fact, these tiles will form a multi-faceted puzzle that requires actually having the trainer fight while in Pokemon form!
It's going to be so off the wall. Actually, in a sense, it's good I lost to Phantom this time. That Flying Gym was just the tip of the iceberg, so you better get ready to have your hats knocked clear to the moon. :)

Xyndercen Gym (pronounced ex-in-der-sen)
Type: Ghost
Gym trainers: 2
Gym layout: It should be kind of like a maze. Make sure the maze is quite small. In your Rom hopefully Flash should be a HM that you have to find yourself not get givern. So that means that my gym could use flash to help you. my leader should be in at the end of the maze. try and make it like Brawly's gym. Make sure that there are trainers that wills ee you to battle you on the way to getting to Brooklyn.
Gym nerd: Hello [PLAYER]! You've managed to battle your way all the way to here. Well, Brooklyn the gym leader isn't exactly easy. He's know as a natural. He can almost do anything in battling at his first try. Your going to have to have a good team to beat him!

sorry to rain on your parade, but there are a few problems with your gym.
1:the levels for the pokemon are too high.
2:if its a different gym number, then keep your gym in mind, because this round is gym #6. the level limits are 43-52. and for round 2, 78-81.
3: This is minor, but you should get more trainers. just having two will make your gym too easy.
