And Phantom, it's a little annoying that a Flying-type is required to progress in your gym. Otherwise, no complaints here.

Oh, I know. But I wanted to force it on the player. And the reason why I'm not spoilering the gym (I used to) was that I couldn't open the spoilers myself w/o me actually editing the post, which I found extremely annyoing due to me being slightly egosentric and wanting to see my work in its full glory.

I love the fact that both of us made flying-gyms though!


EDIT: This thread is EASILY one of the biggest in terms of pagelength. Heck, even the wandering couldn't beat something like this.

I have just a few minor suggestions for the gym leaders movesets.
Darkfox, your Darkrai knows Dark Pulse, Dark Void, Omnious Wind, and Nasty Plot, right? I'd change Omnious Wind to Focus Blast, mainly due to the coverage Dark + Fighting give, and also because of the slight power rise from 60 BP to 120 BP. You will hit pretty much everything harder with Dark Pulse than Omnious Wind anyway :D

well, after me not thinking and just typing, i thought it over and i won't change it. why? well, focus blast isn't that very accurate, and i think Omnious wind (being a ghost type) works because, sure you can kill rock, steel, and Dark types with Focus Blast, but Ghost types can hit pretty much everything and do some decent damage, and because Darkrai has Dark types moves, he can hit normal types. so thats why i'm keeping Omnious Wind. but thank you for telling me this.

But if you've played the generation IV games (which I assume you have, but I'll still explain this anyway), there's a physical and special split in the moves now, so to say that not all Fighting-type moves are physical anymore, and not every single Psychic-type move are special etc...
So, Focus Blast is a special move, and thus will recieve the boost from NP, whilst giving far better coverage w/o hitting off Darkrais iffy 65-ish base Attack.

(And if you are thinking that all Fighting-type moves are physical due to gen I-III, then I must inform you that Ghost-type moves also physical in those generations, so no matter what Focus Blast is more viable :P)

Syrynn, sounds like an idea! If both of us messes up on this round, we could even stick together our gyms for a massive flying-type arena... O_O

Gym nerd speech: Hey champ, how are you? Kinda dark huh? Well, lets hope your prepared with Fighting and Bug types, because the leader here is a master of Dark types. Good luck!

Puzzle:
There are 10 rooms with 10 buttons that will light up and dim the area, and narrow pathways to each room, and if you fall, you go back to the start, but noting happens to your pokemon. 5 buttons light up the area, but 5 will dim the area. when you defeat the leader, push the button and the whole area will light up fully. the order of the buttons will be with the trainer i post. i'll say "Dim" or "Light" after the sprite. Light=light up the room. Dim= dim the room. You also have to defeat 5 trainer and press 5 of the trainers buttons before you can face the leader. The door where the leader is has a trap that will bring you back to the start while one of your pokemon with get a random status affliction (Brun, Poison, ect.). To make it so no one picks the leader door without knowing, there will be a sign with the words, "Leader Daniel's room".

the trainers rooms are the other colors.
Each room has a puzzle for you to go through. the gym leaders puzzle is the hardest because his puzzle makes you beat 5 of the trainers and press 5 of the buttons in the area before you can face him.
maps to each room will be posted later. i have to make 10 puzzles. anyways, thats the puzzle (not for the rooms) and the map.

Make sure that there are trainers that wills ee you to battle you on the way to getting to Brooklyn.

sorry to rain on your parade, but there are a few problems with your gym.
1:the levels for the pokemon are too high.
2:if its a different gym number, then keep your gym in mind, because this round is gym #6. the level limits are 43-52. and for round 2, 78-81.
3: This is minor, but you should get more trainers. just having two will make your gym too easy.
