Ok lately I have planned to buy the 360 elite, or a ps3. Which is better? cause I the 360 has some of the games I must play one day (cod4, gears of war, halo 3), but sony was actualy willing to include a blue ray player, internet connection, and free online play in the system (Bill gates start including these features!) so which would be better to buy in your opinion?^^"

Now the 360 destroy the ps3. But in years will be better games for ps3 so...

The Xbox 360 has demonstrably better performance than the PS3. Remember that Sony is known for a track record of over promising and under delivering when on the subject of technical performance. The real truth is that both systems hold a lot of power for entertainment and high definition games. However, hardware performance, while that is essential, is only a portion. Xbox 360 is a fusion of hardware, software and services. Without software and services, I even consider the most effective hardware inconsequential. Xbox 360 games, along with cutting-edge hardware, software and services—outperforms the PS3.

Well, i personaly think that the Ps3 Is better then the Xbox.. Proabbly because i own a PS3. But i'm not that sure, about gameplay. + You can get Cod4 on ps3 xP

Do you have any proof to back up this statement? Or are the games just gonna magically pop up out of nowhere and be so awesome that even the most indecisive person is gonna feel compelled to buy a PS3?

    No? I thought so.

Watch it. Didn't even give him a chance to respond before you jumped all over him.

XBOX 360 is better in my opinion and its not just because i have one :)

I like PS3 more, but they both have good graphics to me. so whatever floats your boat
    P.S. That's just a saying.

    360. PS3 has not that many good games, while the 360 has a HUGE library, but you might want to buy a PS3 later, now is not the time, the games aren't worth it.

ps3 is better has better graficas than xbox 360 has the format bluray and the Internet is gratuitous for that reason I prefer it

If you would like to play games with your console, you should probably invest in a 360. Most of the decent games for PS3 right now are also available on the 360 and most of them, I've heard, play a lot better on the 360. If you're interested in a Blu-Ray player like my dad was, the PS3 is probably more for you. :\ Honestly, if I had the chance to pick a console, I would've gone with the 360. It has more exclusive games that I want and it's just... what most people find to be the better console.

Actually, I find that the 360 is the actual winner here. The graphics processing unit seems more powerful. Probably part of the reason is Microsoft's choice of memory, and contributing pixel processing to a greater extent. The 360 has an ingenious way of rendering high definition, so to accomplish that similar effect on the PS3 would be ridiculously expensive. For this reason, I believe a variety of games will have no option but to operate in non-HD resolutions on the PS3 version. The final result in this case is noticeable worse image quality.

Sounds a lot more like the Wii to me.

In reality, neither one plays much differently, I've played both, extensively.
Really, if you want games like Halo and Gears then go for 360
If you want games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy go for PS3

    Same said about online.
If you're really bothered about silly things like achievements, and don't mind paying monthly, then go 360
If you want the same service, bar a few little things for free, go PS3.

Noticably worse image? Sure you haven;t being playing the PS2? The graphics are basically the same, in fact, PS3is smoother.

Really? The way I (and many other people) see it, the third parties are the ones that aren't delivering, mainly because they are scared of Nintendo's juggernaut first party titles. Tetsuya Mizuguchi will agree with me on this one. "Wii is a very unique platform. I have no projects yet, but I feel it's very unique. I'm a little bit anxious about Nintendo platforms, as Nintendo games are too strong. I'm a little bit worried about that"

    Fixed a mistake.

Actually, the bandwidth on the RSX chips is noticably smaller than the custom ATI chip that the 360, which typically results in a slightly shakier picture (which I have noticed on my TV). And you can't truly back up that statement until the games come out (hype can be a bad thing).

Anyway, if you are going for more and better games, currently, the Xbox 360 has them. If you are going for something that will last you a little while longer, and you can wait for better games to come out, go for the PS3. It is mainly a matter of opinion.

I'd like to point out a few things, Fox-xy.

SH5 Coming out for the 360. Which means it isn't going to increase the fanbase of the PS3. Most gamers will buy a 360, which has a larger game base and fan base, over the PS3 with a smaller one of both. They'll buy the system with more games to enjoy now. Not having to wait months for some.
Resi 5 Also for the 360, frame rate issues are more common with the PS3, while the Xbox 360 tones down certain things in the game to keep the frame rate higher.
Killzone 2 While this game looks amazing, it's date is still unknown and no one wants to buy a system for a game that could be released a year from now.
Drake's fortune This got an 8.0, so not that great. Still good though, but not worth $399.
Bladestorm Also on the Xbox 360, which means it's not a valid game for your PS3 Is Better point.
Hitman Also for the 360. Gamers will want downloadable content, like new levels/weapons/etc. POS3 may have its service, but XBL Marketplace is superior in design and stability.

So, you have 6 games compared to the 50 or so coming to 360.

I think both consoles have their pros and cons. I, myself, own an Xbox 360 and I love it. Admittedly it does get a little hot, and it's noisy, but it runs the old Xbox games so I'm loving it. I like the profile thing, and being able to easily upload music. Updates are easy as too, you can burn them to a CD - if you don't have a net connection you want to connect to your Xbox, wack the CD into the Xbox and it'll do its thing.

Control pads are pretty cool, too. Wireless. I can play through walls from 30ft away, haha!
