PSP vs DS no flames

Actually, to me, a console comes down to Battery Time, Looks, Games, Features and more improtant, price. Lets see, Battery Time for PSP stinks, and DS does fairly well. The way the Game system looks is like the least important for me, but anyway, it does have an impact. PSP looks the coolest for my opinion, but I do like the DS also. I love the Games on Nintendo programs, and not as much for Sony. By far the PSP would beat the features of DS, but battery time stinks so thats a minus for Sony. Prices will likely be higher for PSP, and DS will most likely be cheaper. Graphics look great for both systems, so that would be a tie for me, becuase I dont care.

So over all I like the DS, and plus i'm a huge Fanboi, so you arent going to get me into PSP too easily. But if they were both really cheap systems, I would by both, just because they both look really awesome, and I have a tendensy (sp?) to "collect" videogame systems... :p

Edit: Oh I'm a newbie? Define newbie.... Because I registered on Aug 2004 I'm a newbie? Do you think I do not know how to read? Are you implying that like you I do not take my time to read all valid information? Well i'm sorry because if that is your definition. then I am not a newbie.

No, I am just saying that because you just recently became part of PC, you probably haven't had the time to read all of the previous threads, so I thought it would be easier for you, if I just re-posted it, instead of making you read all of the other threads.

:paranoid: Ok.... Sorry if I seemed a little um yeah... But no, I read the information you posted earlier and I've seen the specs else where.... It makes no sense to join a discussion if you do not even read what the opposing side has to say... Alright I'm not going to preac hthe DS right now... I just want to know why you like the PSP so much and what do you think are the pros and cons as a consumer... That is all I ask from you... Oh and just because I registered this month doesn't mean that I haven't been in this community for a while... I just never registered to post....

Haven't been registered to post? A similar thing happened to me. I went to PC regularly for over more than 6 months, and I could never get registered, because I never recieved the activation e-mail.

Why do I love PSP so much more than DS?

I think that all of the DS's features are essentially useless. And I like the fact that PSP has PS2 quality games whereas DS only has N64 quality games.

oh, and heres an easier complete list of PSP's games to date

I believe that all the DS features (as novelty/gimmick as they appear) are all unique ideas that add numberous gameplay possibilities. As of now the list you've shown me has about 50 games (I counted 51 but I could have miss counted) while the DS has 64 games announced so far.... Truthfully I'm kind of sick debating or arguing over which one is better... I don't want to fall into the fanboy catagory.... They are both intiruiging systems and both have their features going for them and no matter what the outcome, we can be sure one thing. GBA2>PSP and DS

Brittany...the list you gave has about 10 games I've actually heard of...only about 5 I've ever played, and only about 1 I'd be willing to play again...(GT4)

I think the PSP will go the way the Playstation did. A huge amount of games and only 5% of it is any good...

But that isent allways a bad thing now is it? The games if most of them are bad just get priced lower...and maybe that would help the pricing of the psp becuse i'm not really in to the 250 price tag on it. Then again it's not looking like i'm gonna be able to buy a DS either...with LCD's their bound to cost A LOT. Guess i'm stuck getting the Gameboy Evolution...I hate that codename V_V

You want to play GT4 again? Wow thats funny, because it hasn't been released. jk

In my opinion... for DS there are 10 games I've actually heard of... all I have played...none that I would want to play again.

The Ds's only semi good looking games that I like are Metroid prime hunters and Fire Emblem: Crest of beyond...but thoese two games are allways either way to short or not challenging enough

Square-Enix just applied for two new trademarks at the USA patent office.
One is for Before Crisis(that means its definetly coming to USA's cell phone's)

And the other is for 'Dawn of Souls'. I wonder if this is the new Square game for PSP... because, it came out soon after the news that Square had plans for PSP... I guess we will have to wait it out.

Wait wasent the new square game going to be a new take on the FF world? It never got announced at E3 just more teasers.

Actually according to an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto and ome other ghuy I can't remembr right now, the ds and the games are made of cheaper, more efficient materials, promising to make the DS very affordable. at most it will cost the same the GC did when it first came out.

In reference to Dakota's and LFP's posts, how can you play the game when the system isn't even out yet, and I ahve yet to see any demo stations?

And teh Ds has plenty of good games! Metroid is obviously good, and Fire Emblem is descent, but they also have FFCC DS, which is going to be good. And then there will be MArio 64X4, which is promsiing, and htere will be mario galf and amario kart, both are thriving series. I myself would liek to try the Mario Kart one, sine the race tracks are the same as teh ones on Mario Kart DD, which was an excellent game in my opinion. and Everyone knows there is going to be a pokemon game up there, it just wouldn't be a modern Nintendo system without one. ;)

The E3 demos are really easy to get so it's easy to play it like that.
I meant the DS itself not just the games. An LCD touch screen? Thats gonna run a pretty high price wont it?

Nintendo said the DS will cost about as much as a GBA SP...will sony aid the PSP will run around $400....crack!

Dakota please provide sources for your statements otherwise they are essentially useless.(acting like Dakota back in the other thread XD)

Well, what i like from DS is that it's way more original than PSP.

Also being Nintendo the portable console leader is something important. DS can has tons of new gaming experiences that PSP probably won't have. That's why i stick with DS

To make it somewhat cleared: NINTENDO'S ORIGINALITY OWNS.

the PSP has a game called Sticky Balls in it's opening line up...?

That alone merits the PSP to be but a tool I whipe my hiney with :P:P:P:):):)

BOO ya!

Wow a two screens and a touch screen are very original.

But, does it actually serve any real purpose in the gaming world?
