Okay, I've been trying this out in Showdown and it's more of a hit or miss. So, I'm looking for help before I create a new team in-game.

I'm open to changing Pokemon (Sticky Web does kind of conflict with Aegislash's interests, but is undeniably useful for Crawdaunt and Diggersby).

Arcanine is surprisingly reliable when dealing with physical attackers so I haven't really looked to replace it since it can take care of non-boosting Talonflame for me.

Anyway, any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

I'd use Charizard X as a defensive Fire Pokemon over Arcanine. The latter doesn't have much to make itself stand out from other Fire Pokemon like Heatran, Talonflame, Infernape and the aforementioned Charizard:
    -Flare Blitz/Earthquake
    -Dragon Claw
    -Will-o-Wisp
    -Roost
    Nature: Careful
    EVs: 248 HP/228 SDef/28 Spe
    Item: Charizardite X
    Ability: Blaze

    Smeargle's optimal spread is 96 HP/120 Def/40 SDef/252 Spe.

Xatu is rather subpar. It's not that bulky, tbh. Though Espeon isn't bulky either, it's a better candidate because it can set up Reflect and Light Screen to compensate for the frailty of some of the team members, especially Crawdaunt:
    -Reflect
    -Light Screen
    -Psychic/Psyshock/Yawn
    -Baton Pass
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Light Clay
    Ability: Magic Bounce

Aegislash's ideal spread is 244 HP/12 Def/252 SAtk. This lets it avoid the OHKO from Therian Landorus' Earthquake in Shield Forme (assuming full health).

Choice Band Diggersby, while tempting, isn't as good as Choice Azumarill because Return, Quick Attack and Earthquake have types that can be easily switched in to, as Ghosts are immune to Return and Quick Attack, while Flying and Levitating Pokemon are immune to Earthquake. It may be better to have Diggersby set up with Swords Dance, since you have Dual Screens from Espeon and Sticky Web from Smeargle helping you out:
    -Swords Dance
    -Return
    -Earthquake
    -Quick Attack
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Focus Sash
    Ability: Huge Power

    Spoiler:
I was avoiding using mega pokemon, but Charizard X sounds like he'd be fun to use. I'll give him a spin on showdown along with Espeon.

In the event that I opt not to use mega Charizard X, are there other Pokemon that I can use in its place? I'm mostly concerned with brave bird talonflame because I seem to have trouble with it. Gastrodon? Quagsire? M. Ampharos?

The smeargle in my game actually has the spread you mentioned as it was modified some time ago. I guess the showdown version wasn't edited.

    Thank you.

Talonbird is checked by stuff like rotomw ttar heatran etc.
please dont use smeargle outside of bp

Baton Pass got nerfed to allow 1 Pokemon that knows Baton Pass at a time. Smeargle was good when 6/3-chain Baton Passes were legal, but with that nerf, it can't really Baton Pass really well. Nowadays, Smeargle is one of the two viable Sticky Web users and it should be used if you want a Sticky Webber that gets that hazard up quickly and reliably.

i don't like smeargle as a hazard setter, mainly because of defog and how easy it is to kill. so later on in the game when u need to set up again you have nothing, and its basically useless in the current ou meta if its sash is broken.

Your team is very physically inclined, which is why you're having trouble with walls, particularly Mandibuzz. The only special attack you have on the entire team is Aegislash's Shadow Ball (which obviously isn't gonna harm Mandibuzz much). So you'll need to throw in a special attacker like Greninja or Keldeo in there, or a wallbreaker like....like whoever the hell is a wallbreaker these days besides Infernape. You'll probably wanna replace Ambipom with the special attacker/wallbreaker; Ambipom's not really doing anything special for the team, as far as I can see.

@PlatinumDude. It got nerfed to 1 BPer each team? When?
It was about a week or 2 ago. They didn't really announce it well, which is probably why you never heard about it. But if you go into an OU battle now you'll see that Baton Pass clause has changed to saying that only one BPer is allowed.

Thanks for the input guys. Corrected CharX's EVs, no idea why that was the spread listed on my post.

I'm considering Hydreigon/Gengar/Empoleon to replace Ambipom. I'm going to give those three a spin in that spot before deciding whether I want one of them or I need to look for something else.

Gengar and Hydreigon are the only viable option in the last slot, I'm afraid. Empoleon doesn't have much going for it, really:

    Gengar:
    Gengar:
    -Shadow Ball
    -Sludge Bomb/Sludge Wave
    -Focus Blast/Thunderbolt
    -Destiny Bond
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Focus Sash

    or
    -Substitute
    -Shadow Ball
    -Will-o-Wisp
    -Taunt/Disable/Sludge Bomb/Sludge Wave/Focus Blast
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 28 HP/148 SAtk/80 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Black Sludge

    Hydreigon:
    -Draco Meteor
    -Dark Pulse
    -Fire Blast
    -Superpower/Roost/Flash Cannon
    Nature: Mild/Rash/Modest
    EVs: 24 Atk/252 SAtk/232 Spe
    Item: Life Orb
