I think it'd be cool if we could delete a post we make a lot quicker. I get a lot of double posts so its quicker and more convenient to have a quick delete button in the postbits. Instead of going to edit, delete, delete verification, we could just hit a delete button and it deletes it.

Expanding on that, it'd be nifty if we could mass manage posts (to delete). Like the way mods can.

I was actually just deleting a post today and wondering why I have to do so much crap just to delete it. A quicker way would be fantastic.

There should def still be an "are you sure?" dialogue but yeah just a lil delete button would be so nice. :D

This is definitely needed, just to avoid any conflicts when people accidentally end up hitting the button. Also, instead of having a separate page for it, I think it'd be better if it were in a pop-up box. Y'know, sort of like when you receive a new private message. :]

needs to be timed so it locks out after a while..

If you are not a mod saving the planet forum from evil, why would you need to delete a lot of posts simultaneously? I can agree with that it should be easier to delete a post quickly, though.

I would like to note that it would be nice if we could possess limited moderation powers over our own posts. Stuff like (soft) delete, move, edit title and/or lock own threads in certain sections (Like shop threads in trade center or art sections or whatever) so that we can cut the overhead of needing a mod for little things like that. Maybe require a mod to UNLOCK self-locked threads.

I've been wanting a self-moderation over own created threads for a long time. You know, like those in trade shops and other places where the discussion is centred around your own interface.

My suggestion for how this could work is as follows:
    Spoiler:

The user can tick what posts they would like to delete. They only have permission to delete their own posts, and not opening thread posts (since that would delete an entire thread). They then scroll to the bottom and press "Go" on User Moderation to delete their post(s). No confirmation, no mess, just select the posts you want to delete and press Go at the bottom of the thread.

If someone deletes a post by mistake, it's not hard to undelete it either, so I don't see a point in confirmation.

I also added a "delete" icon next to edit, allowing the user to simply click that to delete their post, if they are not deleting multiple posts.
