That depends. In-game trainers fail and can be taken down easily - so quick, but i'll take my time on wi-fi battles because us geeks own.

If I had to do slow battles ingame, i'd commit suicide.

For competitive battling.. I dunno.. well, I honestly don't care about how long a WiFi battle takes. As long as they don't go shower or something stupid just to annoy me.
*COUGHSHODDYNOOBSCOUGH*

I use quick battle, I put em to sleep then belt the crap (excuse my language) outta 'em so they die in agony, and pain! Muhahahahahaa *cough cough* Swallowed a fly. Jokes.

Normally at the battle tower I just make my dragonite spam dragon dance and then outrage/fire punch everybody to death. And if that fails (which it often does(stupid blizzard nidoqueen -_-)) then, well shoot I already lost! D:

It really depends on what style of gameplay you play.

Using an offensive team, you'd want to end a game as quickly as possible. Whereas using stall, you'd want to drag out the battle and defeat your opponent with mostly residual damage.

Yeah.

I mean me, with my Dragons, i usually have a team of:

BulkyDDNite
MixMence
MixZard@Scarf
Latios

So, DDNite is a slowy opener, and if for some reason he actually faints (Ice Shard Weaviles), then my Scarfed MixZard revenge-kills whatever is possible, then the others take care of whatever's left.

Coming soon is an AWESOME SHINY GYARADOS!!!

I prefer a quick battle. It gets things over and done with much faster.

That's a really good question...

I usually just take out whatever I need to take out easily (especially when battling Elite Four, etc.), like, with my Power-Belt-wielding MewTwo with his almost-always super effective attack-movepool >:D

But I actually enjoy tactics in battles more, like, when you're trying to catch a Pokemon (which I can't do in Diamond anymore, as I catched all the catchable =\)...

So... Idk, I'll pick slow...

The same with me, quick and clean. casino

Usually I go the "quick and clean" route, but on bigger threats/when I want to feel like I'm toying with an AI-team slowly... I'll whip out a good ol' Hypnosis/Dream Eater (or Nightmare) combonation.

I tend to finish them off as quick as I can, but if they're a gym battle or something along that line, I try to add some challenge and make it a more slow battle.

I prefer quickly. When a battle drags on forever I get really bored. Especially when status conditions get mixed in.

i like quick battle but when encountering blissey, umbreon or ludicolo, they beat me using slow death (toxic, double team, softboil, leech seed,...) so i change to slow battle, they beat me again using critical hits
