Quick Question and Answer Thread / Breeding Questions

Just lower its HP as much as possible and either have it sleep or paralyze it. I find Dusk Balls (Timer Balls haven't worked for me IMO, but that's just me) to work the best, so use those. It's best to have a large supply of them, also. Just keep trying. You'll catch it eventually.
 
little do people know, Ultra Balls actually become more effective the more turns pass.

So get a good pokemon, and false swipe for at least 10 turns, and see if its any effective. Shooting pokeballs turn after turn wont do much
 
I threw a Timer Ball at it as soon as it appeared. Then cut it's HP, timer ball, hp cut, timer ball. And I did that until it was a few pixles of health and caught it with a Timer Ball. Same with Azelf.

That's Timer Ball, not Ultra Ball.
Ultra is fixed at 4x capture chance.

I also usually try a Quick Ball at the start of the battle, then if it didn't work, make it sleep/paralyze + False Swipe/Just attacking, and then spam Dusk Balls until i run out, then Ultra Balls and Timer Balls. If it's not caught, i SR

You're pretty much screwed since most of the metas use egg / pre-evo moves.
 
What would happen if two Pokémon used Sucker Punch in the same turn against each other? I mean, Sucker Punch only works if the other Pokemon is reading an attack so would both attacks work or would both fail?

Having trouble getting spirtomb .

Seeing as when ever i go underground my wifi dosen't work buut everywhere eles it dose DLing mystery gits ext.

is this normal?

has anyone experianced the same issue?

While undergroung can you only see your friends?

is spirtomb breedable ?

If so anyone mind giving me one.

3) Is a Hitmonchan good to have without the Iron Fist ability if you plan to use Close Combat, Mach Punch, Thunder Punch and Detect?

3) from personal experiacne with hitmonchan, Ironfist is nessesary
the 30% boost on punchin moves is always welcome. seeing as 2/3 of your actual attacking moves have punch in them it might be worth getting the ability.

4) Im not sure but soft resetting might work.

is this normal? Yes it is, Wifi doesn't work underground, it's local connection. The bars you see are bars that tell you about the connection you have when other people are connected locally.

has anyone experianced the same issue? Yes, because you don't go on WiFi underground.

While undergroung can you only see your friends? You can only see people locally, within the room you are in. You can see anyone underground that is around you.

is spirtomb breedable ? Yes it is.

There's no way to make sure that you get the ability Iron Fists. I don't know the percentage, but there's no way to get Iron Fists 100% of the time. Sorry.

Soft-resetting won't work. An pokémon's ability is determined when the egg is created, so the ability will already have been determined when the man is telling you there is an egg.

There is some sort of strategy to getting Clefairy appear, which may or may not be luck, but getting to 10 bonus rounds is not. You have to follow her directions about which columns to stop first. Also, if the Clefairy symbol at the top of the touch screen is red, you have to disobey her directions.
 
Is garchomp considered an uber? Wanna know before I EV train one..
 
according to smogon- yes it is

im on my platinum and i cant get through the door. it says its impossible to open

i already have the members card..has it come out in north america yet? what do i do

Have you completed the Cresselia sub-quest yet? You must wake the boy using the Lunar Wing before you are able to open the door.
