Quick Question and Answer Thread / Breeding Questions

Question:
I have a wailord in d/p with the move tutored move Selfdestruct( It was hatched shiny + adamant). Which is only available in XD. Now, is it possible that a move tutored move can come off as an egg move or no? If it doesn't this its clearly hacked i know.
 
Wi-Fi Character Oreburgh

I tried searching but found nothing.

My question is, how exactly does your character ID number affect what 4 characters you can choose from in Oreburgh?

Ok, I was wondering, is Platinum worth it? I have Diamond, and I'm wondering if buying Platinum is worth all of the upgrades and features. I know the fact that you can record battles is sweet, so should I get Platinum?
 
Hells yes. I dont personally own it, but I remember playing Sapphire, then getting Emerald- definitely worth the bones. Faster surfing alone is worth it:D Lol

You wanna change your character that appears on WiFi, right? I'm not too sure how your ID number affects it, but I know it does affect it. There is a man in Oreburgh PokeCenter who will change your character sprite, I believe.

Right, here goes... (Btw you'll all think I'm a noob after you read this)

On Platinum, I have just started, and so far i have a:
Level 7 Onyx
Level 10 Shinx
Level 13 Chimchar

I'm on the first gym and im stuck...
I dont know where any nearby water/grass pokemon would be, and i wanna finish this gym.
Oh yeah... and does Chimchar evolve at level 16?

Yes there is a man who gives you a list and the list depends on what your ID is. I don't know how the exact ID number rule goes, but it affects on which character you can pick. To get a new ID, the only way you can get a new one, is to restart your game.

You can catch Budew north of Jubilife.
Machop can be found north of Oreburgh.

Sorry but the EV lowering berries only lower the EV's and up the happiness. Sorry but that's the only thing it does. Hope that helped.
 
I battled and won all the eight gym badges, but only one show up on my trainer card..whats wrong?

That is really strange. Are you sure they are not there or are they just dirty and you cannot see them as clear as the one you can see?

If they are all gone except for one, have you ever used Action Replay before? If so, that could sometimes mess up your game and maybe it caused you to lose your badges except for one.

I don't know, but that's a really strange thing that happened to you.
 
is there a guy in D/P that can comment on your Pokes IV ? you know, like the guy in Emerald's Battle Frontier.


Oh i read earlier posts about the japanese Ditto increasing the odds of getting a Shiny ? it's true ?!

I think there is one in Platinum, but I am not too, too sure. I think I've heard many people talk about it but then again they could've been kidding or so.

As for the Ditto part, it is true. It increases your chance of getting a shiny a bit more. Hope this helps.
