Hi everyone, I've just got a quick question on EV training.
Say I was EVing for S.Atk, so I was battling Golducks in the Resort area, with the pokemon holding Power Specs, so 2(From Golducks) + 4 (From power item) = 6 S.Atk EVs. If he had the PKRS virus, would he get 12, or would it not affect the Power Specs and he'd just get 8? I need to know :(
Please respond ASAP!
 
Naw, the pokémon would get 12 Sp. Attack EVs. Pokérus is taken into account only after all the other EV boosting items are.

They should have Ominous Wind, Power swap, guard swap, and psychic according to Serebii. (Wild pokemon always have the 4 newest moves they can learn when they're wild.)

Catching Uxie

I'm having a hard time capturing Uxie on Diamond, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips. I've gotten it's HP down to just a few lines of pixels WHILE it was asleep... but Ultra Balls haven't done much. Does anyone have a good strategy for catching this Pokemon?
 
Either tradeback a Uxie and keep using Repeat Balls.
Use Timer Balls, or Dusk Balls

Also, get a False Swiper on your team so you know you can't kill it

Try Dusk Balls then move onto Timer Balls when you run out.
Just keep at it.
I've been lucky with my catches. I got super long freezing on a few of my legendaries, and single ball catches with others, but just keep throwing balls then making it go to sleep.
That's your best bet.
 
Just lower its HP as much as possible and either have it sleep or paralyze it. I find Dusk Balls (Timer Balls haven't worked for me IMO, but that's just me) to work the best, so use those. It's best to have a large supply of them, also. Just keep trying. You'll catch it eventually.
 
little do people know, Ultra Balls actually become more effective the more turns pass.

So get a good pokemon, and false swipe for at least 10 turns, and see if its any effective. Shooting pokeballs turn after turn wont do much
 
I threw a Timer Ball at it as soon as it appeared. Then cut it's HP, timer ball, hp cut, timer ball. And I did that until it was a few pixles of health and caught it with a Timer Ball. Same with Azelf.

That's Timer Ball, not Ultra Ball.
Ultra is fixed at 4x capture chance.

I also usually try a Quick Ball at the start of the battle, then if it didn't work, make it sleep/paralyze + False Swipe/Just attacking, and then spam Dusk Balls until i run out, then Ultra Balls and Timer Balls. If it's not caught, i SR

You're pretty much screwed since most of the metas use egg / pre-evo moves.
 
What would happen if two Pokémon used Sucker Punch in the same turn against each other? I mean, Sucker Punch only works if the other Pokemon is reading an attack so would both attacks work or would both fail?
