Put the Pokerus'ed Pokemon in your party and walk around. Be sure it's not next to one that's already had Pokerus and now immune. Also, put it in the PC once you're done; you don't want to lose the infectious goodness :P
@Calvo: Whether he will use the Pokemon for a competitive Hail team or not, the decision to use the Abomasnow for him was already (somewhat) final.
 
Ghost Pokemon question

I'm having a hard time fighting Fatina at the third gym. I'm a bit of a noob to these new games, so I don't know the best way to beat her three pokemon. I'm using a lvl 25 Luxio (bite) and lvl 23 Machop (foresight then karate chop) and I manage to kill the first one, then get my ass kicked by Mismagius.
Anyways, what can I do to better my chances?

Assuming you're talking about the Backlot Mansion in DPPt, no one really knows; it's unaccessible.

There's nothing else you really can do other than to level up your Pokemon. Luxray's only 5 levels away, so start there. Then perhaps evolve your Machop too? What about your starter?
 
Shinx learns Bite at 13. Do you not have that move anymore or did you not let Shinx/Luxio learn it? It would do you wonders. :/
 
Yes, Dark Type moves and Dark Type Pokemon would be good against Fantina...
Which leads me to a question of my own:

Is it possible to find a Dark Type Pokemon before Fantina's gym?
Do you recieve the Eevee which you could potentially evolve into Umbreon as a Dark Type against her before the match or after?
(I've already finished the storyline; I'm just interested.) ^_^

I think you can go ahead and grab the Eevee, but have fun evolving it. Getting Umbreon (or any friendship evolution, for that matter) takes a long time.

As for any other dark types, there's really nothing for you since Murkrow and Stunky were removed.

edit; Moving this back to DPPt where it belongs. Don't know how it got here in the first place. :/

Mystery event?

I have pokemon platinum, and I just got the mystery gift option on the main menu. What do I do now? How do I know when the mystery event is happening? Help from anyone would be nice.
 
Select it and then receive gift. Get via wireless will allow you to get gifts from stores (e.g. Toys 'R' Us) during their special events, when you are near the store. Get via Nintendo WFC requires the Internet, but gives gifts from there, the Internet. At the moment you can download Oak's Letter via the Internet option in the US, Europe, Australia, etc.

It should tell you whether it was successful or not.
 
TM Taunt?

Does anybody know where to get TM Taunt in Platinum. I know it's in RT. 211 but where, I know it's not the item at the top that requires rock climb so where is it?
 
I have no idea why you'd want it, but I believe it's below a Flying0type trainer and you need Rock Smash to get it.
 
Umm, quick question.

I just have a quick question here. Sorry if this belongs anywhere else. I just need an answer.

Yesterday, I migrated a Shroomish from my Emerald. Simply because I #¤@& the Great Marsh. (I seriously think it's the worst Safari Zone-place ever.) And due to the fact that Shroomish is kind of rare there. And as I don't want Effect Spore, I bred it with my Ditto. I got a perfect one on my first try (I was like: "omg did that seriously just happen?") that was Adamant and with Poison Heal.

So my question is: How to teach Breloom Spore? Do I have to train the Shroomish to Lv. 45 (!!!) and teach it Spore and then evolve it, or can I just evolve it and then, as it reaches/passes Lv.45, teach it Spore via the Pastoria Move Tutor?

How Long?

How long does it usually take for a shiny patch of grass to appear when you're chaining after you reach 40 patches?
I got to 63 Shinx in a row and kept resetting the radar to see if a shiny appeared. None did. So I just wanted to know how long does it usually take for you guys?
 
Tere is no special Pattern it is A random thing you could find a shiny in 1 Go or it could be 200 for all you no!
