The quokka is a small Australian marsupial that is the size of a cat

It is also super adorable

Cough except they're so thirsty they have to rely on leaky taps to get water cough cough. They'd lick your leg if it was sweaty enough. Sigh... such brave smiles.

Yeah, I've heard things aren't too great for them. Their diet pretty much consists of the sugary snacks that tourists drop or toss their way, and sugar only increases thirst so... hrmm, it's a sad business.

But they are excellent and smuggling them overseas sounds like a worthwhile challenge.
