Not sure how I'm going to defeat Wattson with Bug Pokemon. The only way I can is by getting really lucky and score consecutive fury cutters.
To TheAbsol: Or you could just overlevel one of your pokemon to make it easier... Post your team and I might be able to help more.

--------------------
- Went to Fallabor and gave Prof. Cozmo his Meteorite.
- Trained Cacnea a bit more before heading toward Mauville.
- From Mauville, curved into Verdanturf and into Rusturf Tunnel.
- Made my way to Rustboro, and then to Petalburg.
- Challenged the Petalburg City Gym, generally scoring victory quite easily; I defeated Norman and earned the Balance Badge.
- Made it back to Mauville, where I was asked by Wattson to turn off the generator in New Mauville.
- Ventured into New Mauville and turned off the generator found there.
- Surfed over to Route 118, where I met and talked to Steven again.
- I battled my way up Route 118 and Route 119.
- Saved the Weather institute from Team Aqua and obtaining the weather-dependent pokemon Castform for my troubles.
- Found May and battled with her once more, pushing her aside with ease.
- Finally, after a gruelingly long trip, made it to Fortee City.
- Went back outside Fortree and caught my #1 HM Slave: Tropius.
- Went fishing and caught my #2 HM Slave: Magikarp (Gyarados in reality).
- Stuck around and fished some more, catching my fourth team pokemon: Carvanha.
- Adjusted my team and created my HM slaves, evolving Magikarp into Gyarados.
- Ventured to Route 120, capturing my final team pokemon: Absol.
- Trained my newly made team.
- Talked to Steven once again, getting the Silph Scope and battling Kecleon.
- Identified another Kecleon and cleared the path to the gym.
- Challenged the Fortree City Gym, breezing through most of it. After a long close-call of a battle, I defeated Winona (Altaria is EVIL...) and obtained the Feather Badge.
- Made my way through Routes 120 and 121, battling / training my newer additions.
- After a tiring run through the long routes, I made it to Lilycove City.
- After talking to May, I battled her for the final time, and defeated her.
- Made my way toward Mt. Pyre after training some.
- Climbed Mt. Pyre on the inside, defeating all of the trainers.
- Defeated Team Aqua on top of Mt. Pyre, getting the Blue Orb.
- Trained atop Mt. Pyre (Dark-type PARADISE).
- Flew to Slateport City and witnessed Team Aqua stealing Captain Stern's new submarine.
- Through save states and various tests, I identified my pokemon's Hidden Power types (not power, however... I don't EV train, so I can't find that out).
Currently: Relieving Lilycove City of Team Aqua.
