5th Gen Rally of the Medals

In Black 2 and White 2, we were introduced to a new feature called the Medal Rally. To me, it's more like those Xbox achievements you get when you complete a certain thing in a game, but this is more towards Pokemon. You get a medal from the guy in every Pokemon Center after completing a certain task, such as evolving a Pokemon for the first time, beating a Gym Leader with underleveled Pokemon, or even...getting a certain number of medals, really! xD I figured this was a neat feature, and I like the fact that he gives you hint medals where it can tell you how to achieve more.

There are 255 medals in all. Has anyone got them all? Discuss anything in regards to the Medal Rally. Do you think this is a neat feature?

It's a really neat feature, unfortunately I use my Pokemon White 2 for challenges so I never had the time to really collect all of them :(

I like it, because it's another thing that actually motivates you to keep playing the game and try for things you most likely wouldn't bother to in previous games. I have over 170 on my main White 2 game, and I think I could reach 200 if I wanted.

I don't think all 255 will ever be obtained though, especially with the Dream World closing for good very soon. =( The ones that don't involve that maybe, though, but some require several Wi-Fi connections to do.

The feature was pretty fun. It's one of the few reasons I still pick up and play my Black 2 due to my somewhat completionist nature when it comes to things, but with Dream World going down soon, getting all 255 medals won't be a possibility for me :(

It was a nice little feature, but didn't have enough exposure as it should. The only way to collect medals was by visiting a guy at Pokémon Center, so, yeah… but if the person, say, had their own medal shop in some city (preferably Castelia, since it's treated as the capital of Unova), then that would've been awesome. If they allowed you to exchange these medals for prizes, that would have been even more awesome. d: Aaanyway… in Black 2, I've managed to collect sixty-eight medals. Wanted to get my hands on some more, but didn't know what their requirements were.

I have only 167 medals after E4 and Champion :D
I challenge myself to get all of them but it takes more time like weeks,months maybe years :((

I find the Medal Rally amusing, that I'm trying to complete the medal list as many as possible, even though I'm unable to get them all due to not having accessible Wi-Fi connection at that time. I think I got around 80 medals iirc.

I like collecting medals to an extent, but I don't like how some of them will be permanently inaccessible thanks to the closure of the Dream World. Some of them are also extremely difficult/tedious to do if you don't know a lot of people who play Pokémon in real life (e.g., the passerby/tag mode stuff). Moreover, while I get why there are so many medals related to PokeStar Studios, I didn't really like that feature too much, so I never felt that motivated to earn those medals.

If Game Freak uses a similar feature in the future, I would prefer that they (a) not include medals, especially hard-to-get ones, that depend on a temporary feature like the Dream World and (b) not make them rely on player-to-player interaction (or do so to a lesser degree).

Gosh I've still not even gone to fifty medals, MUCH less all of one category. I just don't have th patience for it, as much as I'd like to because pink heart medals. <3
