Sorry, ma'am. I guess I just got a little mad a Cakekun all of a sudden. I didn't feel like I was a good trainer, so I started fighting that feeling with retaliation. Sorry if you felt awkward with all that anger going on. Anyways, I'll say this again. You are a good trainerette. You trust in your pokemon, and you know when to come to others for help. I'd like to face you in the WiFi Battle Room sometime.
Floatzellvl 37
Surf
Brine
Crunch
Strength
Although very speedy, awful use in competitive play, replace him for Milotic, Starmie, or Gyarados
Infernape lvl 38
Close Combat
FlameWheel
RockSmash = Nasty Plot/Stone Edge
MachPunch = Grass Knot
Staraptor lvl 38
Fly = Brave Bird
Defog = Return/Frustration
CloseCombat
AerialAce
Sneasel = Weavile lvl 38
Faint attack = Sucker Punch/Pursuit/Night Slash
ShadowClaw = Aerial Ace/Swords Dance (with Focus Sash)
IceBeam = Ice Punch
Agility = Brick Break
Even Ice Shard should replace Ice Beam on Weavile/Sneasel, its HORRIBLE with a Physical Sweeper
Luxraylvl 38
Thunder
Spark
Charge
Crunch
Meh, Electivire is WAYYY better than this poor guy... replace him
Lucario lvl 41
AuraSphere = Close Combat
RockClimb = Extremespeed

Ubers are almost NEVER allowed in competitive battling
I gave up my floatzel for my palkia. Even though i loved my floatzel so much, it was a great pokemon i had it since i started the game. I hope i made the right decision.
What do you think of my pokemon team. I updated it. So on the scale of 1 to 10(10 being the best) how would you rate my pokemon and why did you give them that rating.
I hear my pokemon need training. Which is best way to train my pokemon to 50? Right now, i'm going to Sunyshore city for the final gym battle.
I know my pokemon suck, is there any way to make it better? What level should they be at this point?
I need tips, I played every version of pokemon and realized i still suck at it.
I'm new to this forum, I'm also looking for new friends, who are into pokemon. add me to msn messenger, [email protected]
Thanks!
Since when has Gyro Ball been good on anything with a base Speed over 50? As for Psychic, it's pretty much only good for dealing with Poison or Fighting types, the former which Lucario doesn't have any problem handling and the latter which Lucario won't like staying in against anyway. And since when has a Floatzel with special moves been good, especially 2 special moves of the same type? Strength is also a waste of moveslot that could be used for something much better. And you clearly aren't too experienced seeing as you don't see the difference between Ubers and Legendaries. Yes, they allow non-uber Legendaries to be used in the Battle Tower, but Ubers (and for some reason Jirachi and Celebi as well. =\ ) are banned there and in all OU battles.I've been a Pokemon fan since the day it arrived in USA 1996, and I know that I have some authority on this subject. Gyro Ball is good for Lucario, and so is Psychic. Just make sure you're satisfied with your choice. Thunder Fang is perfect for Luxray's attack stat.
Sunny Day is a nice choice, but it won't be necesary for Infernape. Close Combat is a great move, so you keep that with Infernape. But I would suggest replacing Flame Wheel with Flamethrower. Floatzel is good. Keep it that way. Palkia is OK to keep. Ignore all this "Ubers are illegal" business. There are rooms in the Wi-Fi place that let you use Legendaries.
now, one last thing to all those out there. I wasn't just acting when I said my speech. I meant it. This guy loves Pokemon and if he works at training and strategy, he could very well be one of the most powerful trainers on this forum. BlueLucario, I wish you good luck with your training.

And please, for the love of whatever you hold dear, don't start mixing up the anime and games. Pokémon games are about strategy, not about how much you love a bunch of coding inside a game cartridge.
And one more thing: you should really learn to take advice from other people. A good rater doesn't necessarily have to be right every single time, but will listen to people who know more about the matter and learn from their mistakes. You can express your opinion, but not state is as a fact. The standard sets (which have been suggested several times in this thread already) are standard for a reason. Don't get me wrong, I love to see creative sets on commonly used Pokémon, but if you're going to rate something you should at least have some general knowledge on standard sets before giving other people suggestions. At least provide good reasoning as to why Gyro Ball and Psychic are good on Lucario if you want people to trust your advice. Unless something is completely self-explanatory, the set and its functions should be explained in detail because as every good player knows, a good set doesn't make any difference whatsoever if you don't know how to use it.
Don't feel bad. For someone who's dedicated to Pokemon, you are a true champion. Don't let anyone tell you any different.
For Floatzel, after you've beaten the game, I'd replace Strength with Ice Beam. And after you've used up all Surf possibilities, replace that with Rain Dance(Increases Floatzel's Speed and Water moves, try using that when its HP is low with Brine)
Palkia is great. When you come of time, replace one of its moves with Earth Power to take down Electric, Fire, Rock, Poison, and Steel types.
Give Infernape Stone Edge to replace Rock Smash. If you want, add in Swords Dance.
Luxray specializes in attack. If you want, substitue Thunder for something hard-hitting.
Lucario is OK. Replace Rock Climb with Metal Claw(Only after you've beaten the game).
Staraptor is awesome. Teach it Pluck in place for Defog. You won't need it much.
Anyways, keep training! I believe in your strengths!
This team has to change alot due to competitive play...
What in the........the majority of this is HORRIBLE advice...
Why would you give floatzel rain dance? He would die before it even becomes useful as he cannot take a hit for anything.
Why woudl you replace crunch on floatzel anyway? He has VERY limited physical attack pool even though he does attack very very well. Ice beam is HORRIBLE on him for a pokemon who has HORRIBLE special attack. That makes absolutely no sense. Pluck on staraptor? Please tell me your kidding. He should almost always have brave bird and probably U-turn.
Metal claw is a horrible attacking move. No... Do not use this move. OMG I dont even want to bother with the rest of your advice. its soo...... bad.
My entire post WAS useful... If you had a brain you would know that.Your just upset your little ego is hurt because your wrong. I cant blame you for not wanting to explain yourself. Your advice was so horrible that i wouldnt want to explain why my hands allowed me to type that nonsense either. My post was critiquing your horrible advice and replaced it with very insightful information. Sorry you werent able to see that.
Why would i not be blunt about it? I am a very BLUNT person. I tell it like it is. Sorry you dont like it but i dont intend to change it. If someone is giving bad advice. I am going to tell you that it is wrong and tell you what to do to fix it. Thats how it works. It isnt going to change so stop whining about it. If your going to post advice. At least make it GOOD advice. If you dont know, either ASK or DONT POST AT ALL. To the fellow female who posted this thread, I added you on MSN. Hopefully we will talk at some point
Stop playing the victim. Blindly leveling up to lvl 81 doesn't prove anything. The max is 100. My Raichu speed wasn't great, so I spent 3 days to TRY and breed for a good nature. I also spent weeks-2, in fact-in order to EV train. So don't go with that.
We aren't against you, so get off that. Just the advice you give. If ya don't know, even if Gyro Ball is Steel, Lucario is too fast to use it right. Psychic won't take out what the other moves can't.
We have no problem with you, just the things you say. Get up to date for competitive battling. Ya got heart, just no sense.
