Hello, I have build yet another OU team and it is a bit more successful than most of my teams. However, this team does lose as much battles as it wins. I know that there is something in my team that need improvement. My core is Whimsicott and Heatran. Anyways, here is my team:

EDIT: After realizing that my team had no win con I started from Whimsicott and made this my team.

    - Roost

    EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Calm Mind
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Volt Switch

    Nope Train (Slowbro) @ Leftovers

    - Psyshock
    - Calm Mind

    I H8 U HOOPA (Mandibuzz) @ Leftovers

    - Knock Off

    Free Hugs (Ferrothorn) @ Leftovers

    - Stealth Rock
    - Leech Seed

    - Power Whip

Anyways, so that is what my team looks like. I would like help on improving this team because I'm not that great at team building and have only been playing competitive for a couple of months.

I really have a hard time figuring out what you team's supposed to do. One thing I'll mention though: if you don't run Healing Wish on Latias, then you might as well run Latios. Healing Wish is pretty much the only reason to run Latias over Latios, as Latios does all the other things Latias does, as well, and it hits harder.

Thanks for the advice. When I stopped and looked at my team, I also wondered what it was try to accomplish so I decided to rebuild it so that it has a win condition. I'll update the thread when it is done.

Getting a win con is certainly something you want to do, but you also need to fit in stuff to handle basic team archetypes. That was something that seemed to be missing to me. How are you going to deal with stall? With hyper-offense? With Rain? I don't really see that on this team.

    Marinara (Heatran) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Flash Fire
    EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
    Calm Nature
    - Lava Plume
    - Ancient Power
    - Earth Power
    - Toxic

This is for type synergy with Whimsicott. Not much to say here it gets the job done.

Heatran really doesn't have much need for Ancient Power I'd say, there's not much that it doesn't hit hard already that are weak to Ancient Power. You'd be better off running Taunt or Substitute or even Stealth Rock to free up space on Lando. I also prefer Air Balloon to Leftovers, most people disagree with me there these days though.

    Discount Rotom (Lanturn) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Volt Absorb
    EVs: 104 HP / 192 Def / 212 SpD
    Calm Nature
    - Volt Switch
    - Scald
    - Thunder Wave
    - Heal Bell

Now I know what you are thinking, why Lanturn over Rotom-W? The reason for that is because this was a Rotom-W and I needed a Heal Beller and Rotom-W was the least useful pokemon in my team. I have found that Lanturn to be a very helpful pokemon.

I don't know Lanturn very well, but I think one advantage that Rotom-W does have is its immunity to Earthquake. You can switch into Lando to avoid it I guess but it's something to think about.

    Scizorhands (Scizor-Mega) @ Scizorite
    Ability: Light Metal
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
    Adamant Nature
    - Bullet Punch
    - Swords Dance
    - Roost
    - Bug Bite

Scizor is my mega and my sweeper. Not much to say about Scizor either.

Bug Bite is a powerful move on Mega-Scizor it might be worth switching to U-Turn though so you can scout and create momentum.

The Metagame (Landorus-Therian) @ Rocky Helmet
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
    Impish Nature
    - Earthquake
    - Stone Edge
    - Knock Off
    - Stealth Rock

I find Lando-T to be a nice Stealth Rock setter and offensive pokemon. It has Rocky Helmet to punish rapid spinners.

You'd probably be better off using Leftovers on Lando, especially with its less-than-average defences and how much it has to fear special Water or Ice types.

You also might want to think a bit about what your team aims to do, what's your strategy. I'm no expert, but that's what I think xD
