Releasing Pokemon

Recently, I released a few pokemon of mine, and have been feeling guilty about it. Even though they are just programmed pixels! Have any of you released some pokemon before and then regretted it? Why do you release your pokemon?

The reason I release pokemon is when they aren't very cute or cool. That makes me feel even worse. I think I'd feel less guilty if it were because I had no room in my box or if I already had one of the pokemon I am going to release.

No not really, I just keep them on the computer...

When I'm breeding for a particular nature/ability, I don't feel guilty at all about releasing the babies that don't have the nature I'm looking for. XD

    Same here :P

The only Pokemon I ever release are the level 1 bred reject ones that I don't need. They're better off running around in the wild anyway rather than sitting in my PC forever.

    I never release my Pokemon.
But sure I've released some and yeah, I felt guilty afterwards.

I sometimes release, whenever I get a hatched pokemon and it has a bad nature anyway xD

I recently restarted my game deleting 50+ Egg Moved Pokémon and 10+ RNGd Pokémon. Fortunately though, almost all my Pokémon are backed up on my computer as PKM files. However, I do regret starting that new game as I have a lot of Egg Move breeding to do to make up for my loss of all those Egg Moved Pokémon xD

When I catch a bunch of Pokemon of the same species, I release the ones whose stats aren't appealing to me.

I only get attached if the Pokemon is one I REALLY like. Like Gyarados or Happiny. But other than that...nope. xD

I release them when I have no use for them. Like if they're just caught to fill the PokeDex.
    I don't feel bad though o_o

^That's true... I want to fill my pokedex, but I don't really want to keep every pokemon. Especially pokemon like Nosepass (x_x). That makes me not feel as guilty anymore.

I don't like releasing Pokemon. On my SoulSilver (which is Japanese, so I couldn't read what was going on) I was learning how the PC worked in the game, and I accidentally released a Zubat. Just a Zubat. So I turned off the game and have avoiding clicking that ever since. lol Luckily, I had just started playing. Had I been playing for hours, I would have gone and caught a new one.

    I think I released one, or two Pokemon lately who were duplicates and I felt soooo sad about it, so now I leave all my duplicates in my box and um, when I migrate over Pokemon, even my HM slaves, I... migrate them over because I feel bad for them. XD;

I have no qualms about releasing Pokemon. I do it all the time with newly bred Pokemon who don't meet my standards of excellence. However, I haven't been releasing them lately solely on account of my laziness. Now, I find it easier to shove them in a random PC box and let them sit there xD

Even though they're only a blip of code, I always felt bad for releasing them. :(

I kind of used to feel guilty about it, but I've done it to so many little Corphishes (I had a Corphish breeding spell that resulted in swarms of the little guys) that it doesn't bother me any more. It bothers me, however, if it's a rare pokemon that I have to release in a Nuzlocke, because it's fainted :> But pokemon come from the wild, anyway, so whatever.

When I was 13 years old, maybe. Nowadays, I have better things to worry about than the emotions of a few pixels.

I don't really feel bad, only regret when I realize that I'd need that one later and don't feel like going through the hassle of catching it again.
