Just wondering, how do you do the Remove link code?
Because each time I want to type credit;[email protected] it becomes a link and even though I hit remove link it still comes up as one.

    Thanks.

Highlight the text and click this button
    [PokeCommunity.com] Remove link code?
    in you advanced wysiwyg editor.

I mean the text is highlighted and even if you click it and it takes you no where, I would like to have it removed.

@Gav: I tried that, but it still didn't do anything. It came back as a link thing.
    Ex; Try clicking my sig.

I have no idea why it's doing that. I edited it, I played with it and I parsed it. But it just keeps automatically linking.

My only recommendation is that you take out the ".com" as that will stop it from linking. I couldn't figure out why though I'm afraid. I would hazard a guess and say that vB automatically creates a link when it sees [email protected] and wont let you parse it.

    Same here...

Also... if it's really an email address... Do not write it like that... Poor guy will get so much spam O.o

Next time, just put "Credit: Username@lj" or something similar. Don't put the '.com' at the end.

Ugh, I know. Did that by accident, got 30 SPAM e-mails the next day.

Huh. Shouldn't we have a bit of code that tells PC to ignore any HTML/BBcode/whatever inside it? I usually see some code like that...

Anyway yeah, websites do that. You could do this.

    [*title="[email protected]"]Credit;[/title]

This will cause the words to have hover text, and it won't make the hover text a link. To view, you'd just have to hold your mouse over the text "Credit;"

    You could also use

    [*???="[email protected]"]Credit;[/???]

This one will remove the squiggly line under Credit and make it look like regular text.

If you use the quick reply you won't see this, but if you use the "Post Reply" button, you'll see an "Automatically parse links in text" checkbox below the editor. it's checked by default, so you'll have to uncheck it before typing those addresses.

It should work like this: [email protected]

Also when editing posts, use the "Go Advanced" button so you can change the setting or it'll transform it into a link. (Yes you have to uncheck this setting every time you edit...it's annoying as hell, but meh.)
