Having gotten a few Japanese language Pokemon capable of evolution off of GTS and evolved them (some time ago)

If I were to do whatever for breeding...

Should I seek to trade a Pokemon named, and not nicknamed, in English, to a player from Japan to evolve for me...

Would my previously named English Pokemon come back named as it is in Japanese alpha text?

Am also wondering about Egg sent, hatch sent back...

Nood question: everyone uses rapid spin in competitive battles, but no one uses defog that has the same effect.

I was wondering what's worse about it? :\

I'm going to assume it's the fact that rapid spin actually does damage, which I should have realized before posting...:paranoid:

Most Defog users outside of Skarmory are Stealth Rock weak and (like skarmory) have better uses.

I want to use a Bronzong in my team.
What will be the best EV for him?
I will like him with dual screen and maybe steealth rock.
Use one of these sets:
Bronzong @ Light Clay
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP / 152 Atk / 8 Def / 96 SpD
Moveset:
~ Reflect
~ Light Screen
~ Gyro Ball / Earthquake
~ Explosion

OR

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Sassy
EVs: 252 HP / 86 Atk / 80 Def / 92 SpD
Moveset:
~ Stealth Rock
~ Gyro Ball
~ Earthquake
~ Explosion / Hypnosis.

Ok, I have 3 Arceuses (from the TRU event, I think, the 1 that has Roar of Time, Spacial rend, Shadow Force & Judgement)
& 3 Jirachis (fron the GameStop event, with Draco Meteor) & I was wondering what moveset I should use for them... I have no plans for an UBER nor an OU team at this time, so I was hoping to see what people consider the top 3 sets for each pokemon is, so I can train the pokemon I'd most likely use anyways in a future team...
(is there any movesets of which I can take advantage of the event only moves?)

IVs-Need Help!

I have a team I want to use online, but I don't have enough time to create one without Pokesav. I know how to use it, but I don't know how what some legit IVs are on some Pokemon I want to use. Is there some kind of formula to use or anyone who can help me?

There is a program that can help you. It's called Shoddy Battle.

https://shoddybattle.com/downloads

You can download it right there. Here's how you check for legit IVs:

1. Open up Shoddy Battle.
2. Select "Team Builder".
3. Select "New Team" then "Standard Metagame" or whatever it says.
4. Choose the pokemon you want to use, check for shininess or not and select its nature.

Here's how you see if the IVs are legit or not:

If the letters that says "IVs" becomes red, like in this screenshot:

https://i41.tinypic.com/25hisf9.jpg

Then the IVs are not legit. However, if they stay grey, like in this screenshot:

https://i43.tinypic.com/4vr8xy.jpg

Then the IVs are legit.

Hope this helped. :D

Unless you are talking about legendary pokemon, 31 in all stats is perfectly legal, however cheap that might be. When I try to check for legal IV's for legends though, I just put it in on shoddy with the right nature and experiment until I get what I want. You can download shoddy here, and what you do in order to check IV's would be to click "file->new team", and proceed to fill out IV's and nature. That's it.

So I have 2 jirachi's I have not picked up yet from the event and I wanted to make one a flinch jirachi and the other some type of sweeper. How does this look.

Nature - Impish Item - Leftovers

Iv's (Something with good Attack + def/sp def/hp)

Ev's - 252(hp), 132(Def), 124(Sp.Def)

Moveset - Cosmic Power, Wish, Iron Head, Thunder Wave

My only question is if this was to be used in uber battles (single+double) will it have a problem using cosmic power before it dies in uber fights? If so i was thinking maybe switching it to Fire Punch, Zen Headbutt, or Psychic (+ Relaxed Nature if Psychic). I don't know if the substitute for Cosmic needs to be special to give it move coverage or not.

Any help + or advice?

"32 Spe with Impish on the support set gives considerable defenses on both sides, as well as giving 244 Speed, which outpaces Timid Magnezone and Jolly Tyranitar." - Smogon.com

Do I need to add that?

Hello, just wanted some input on who to round out my team with.
Currently:
Typhlosion
Salamence
Gengar
Skarmory

I'm not asking for movesets/EV spreads/items, just asking on who to add to balance out my team. (pertaining to type coverage)
One thing to note is I'm deathly afraid of running into Swampert.
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Scizor question

Would a Scizor with technician be better off with swords dance + a move under 60 attack (but for this purpose, 60 attack), or with Swords dance + a move with over 80 attack.

most SD Scizors run: Swords Dance/Bug Bite/Bullet Punch/Brick Break

if that answers your question, pretty broad though.

Okay, so I've decided to construct a slightly different Team... with one extra (just for my own enjoyment. X3)

Typhlosion
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Lax
Eruption
Focus Blast
Flamethrower
Rollout

Venusaur
Ability: Overgrow
Nature: Quirky
Leech Seed
Toxic
Power Whip
_____ (need a fourth here... not sure)

Swampert
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Bashful
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Ice Beam
Surf

Ampharos
Ability: Static
Nature: Bashful
Signal Beam
Charge
Discharge
Focus Blast

Umbreon
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Brave
Confuse Ray
Shadow Ball
Payback
Iron Tail

Dragonite
(Unkown yet... working on getting it trained and such)

And my other:

Mewtwo
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Lax
Thunder (was thinking of switching to Th Bolt for Accuracy)
Ice Beam
Aura Sphere
Shadow Ball (Maybe switch to Calm Mind?)

Anyways, that's my Team (+1 for fun)... I'm lost on the whole EV training thing, and don't really know where/how/when to do that. And as far as items... what should I put on them?

What ^ said, the only things that go after it is Avalanche and Revenge + Roar and Trick Room, iirc.

EV training, where and what :/?

Was just wondering, does it matter what level the pokemon you are grinding on to EV train is and does it matter if you don't gain a level when EV training? and how do you know when it's actually increasing?

And also how do i know if my pokemon has allready got enough EV's or none at all because i i begin to EV but he's allready got some then it'll be pointless :/?
