Hey guys, just wondering if you could point out any glaring holes in my type alignment or particular strengths weaknesses a noob such as myself might not have spotted:

Btw this is for fire red

aerodactyle

exeggcute (leaf stone at lvl 47?)

lapras

dragonair

raichu

blastoise

can someone tell me if the movesets are any good?

[PokeCommunity.com] Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions

Golurk-Adamant @ Leftovers
Trait:Iron Fist
EVs-252-Atk/252-Hp/4-Defense
-Substitute
-Focus Punch / Earthquake
-Shadow Punch
-Stone Edge

2 STAB moves suck when they do the same thing. EQ is an option for STAB.

[PokeCommunity.com] Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions

Chandelure-Timid @ Life Orb / Air Balloon
Trait:Flash Fire
EVs-252-Sp.A/252-Speed/4-Defense
-Flamethrower
-Shadow Ball
-Calm Mind / Nitro Charge
-Hidden Power Fighting

You need HP Fight for Tar and Heatran, 3rd slot to buff you up.

[PokeCommunity.com] Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions

Meinshao-Naive @ life Orb
Trait:Regenerator
EVs-252-Atk/252-Speed/4Defense
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-Turn / Swords Dance
- Hi Jump Kick
- Fake Out / Stone edge

The all out attacker set. Fake Out, then U-Turn out to chip away at the team. Hi Jump Kick > Drain Punch due to power which Mienshao needs. HP Ice takes out Gliscor. Stone Edge goes over Fake Out if you'd like to hit Gyarados. Swords Dance is usable over U-Turn too to sweep, but use it with Stone Edge > Fake Out.

Comments in bold.

Just a random question. I'm thinking about training a Deerling for Sawsbuck and was wondering what moves I should use for it. I think I've got it planned out.

[PokeCommunity.com] Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions

Sawsbuck @ Life Orb/Leftovers/Chople Berry
Nature: Jolly
Trait: Sap Sipper/Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk | 252 Spe | 4 HP
- Swords Dance/Substitute
- Horn Leech
- Jump Kick
- Return/Double Edge

You dont need that much speed at all. Use it on Drought teams and make it so you get to 525 in the Sun which beats scarf Latios, Thundurus and the like, put the rest in HP. Wild Volt is also acceptable over Horn Leech to hit Skarmory, Chandelure and Gengae whilst still hitting waters. Swords Dance > Sub.

Whimsicott @Leftovers
Bold Nature
Trait: Prankster
12 HP / 248 Def / 248 Sp.Def
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Taunt

How be this?

252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD as the ev spread gives you more durability. Encore is an option over Toxic or Taunt if you like coming i and trolling stat up sweepers.

Please help me with my team.

This is my current team:

Haxorus lv.100 w/Dragon Fang
Adamant/Mold Breaker
Swords Dance
Outrage
Guillotine
Dragon Claw

Chandelure lv.100 w/No Item
Modest/Flash Fire
Pain Split
Shadow Ball
Heat Wave
Calm Mind

Ferrothorn lv.100 w/No Item
Impish/Iron Barbs
Explosion
Power Whip
Ingrain (May change)
Iron Defense (May change)

I'm trying not to add any legend or Non-Unova Pkmn to my team.Any suggestions to my team would be helpful.I'm thinking of Excadrill/Gigalith , Beheeyem/Reuniclus , Eelektross , lilligant , Scolipede , Hydregion , or Conkeldurr.Any help is welcomed.

I'm back again...

I have a Modest Deino, and I was trying to figure out what to do with Hydreigon - Specs, Scarf or Orb.

Also, is 252/252/6 the best setup for it? Or could increasing the defences/HP slightly protect it from priority moves (mach punch, vacuum wave, ice shard)?

I posted this in the Pokemon General simple questions thread, but it got ignored (even though it's a yes or no question pretty much :/), and I think it might fare better here.

I decided in this game I would try to EV train Pokemon and make an attempt at the metagame, but I've never done it before. I've been trying to read up on it, and wanted to make sure I was doing this right before I began.

So if I want 255 in two random stats for a Pokemon, is this right? I go train my Pokemon on the one that Serebii says gives the stats, then once it gains every EV, I can Audino grind to get it to level 100. Not like I have instant access to rare candies or anything, and I'll probably be exp. sharing it until I get it high enough to not be required to.

Use 252 on each of those two stats and 4 on another one 'cause every 4 EVs give you 1 point, and 255 can't be divided by 4.

Thanks, I'm going to assume the approach is correct because otherwise I would have been corrected on that too. :3

What is a good moveset for Darumaka? I want to take advantage of its monster attack.

What is a good moveset for Darumaka? I want to take advantage of its monster attack.

Darumaka?...Not Darmanitan?
Then I will assume this is in-game.
-Fire Punch
-Rock Slide
-Brick Break/Superpower
-Strength

If you wanted a competitive battling setup for Darmanitan, here's one~

Darmanitan @ Life orb
Abilty: Sheer Force
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Att/252 Spd
Moveset:
-Flare Blitz/Fire Punch
-Rock Slide
-U-Turn
-Hammer Arm

Conkledurr @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Trait: Guts
120 HP | 252 Attack | 136 Special Defense
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Stone Edge | Payback

Thats your standard Conkledurr set.

1: yes, if they have an exp share equipped, they get the same EV's the pokemon that battled gets.

2: It wont matter as long as its EV trained

3: Only if you battle wild pokemon, otherwise you will have to wipe the previous EVs then re EV it in the correct stats. An easy way to level it up without battling wild pokemon is the day care or using rare candies, since they don't give EV's.

4: No, they give out the same EV's regardless of level.

Thank you for the answers to my questions so far. I just wanted to clarify a few things:

  • If two or more of my pokemon have an EXP Share, does that mean that my pokemon that just battled + my pokemon with EXP Share all get EV points? - This would really accelerate my EV training and help me get my team ready more quickly.
  • Similarly, if the pokemon that battled wore a macho brace, would that multiply the EVs for my pokemon with EXP Share?
  • Finally, as a more general question, I would be very grateful if you could give me any advice on quicker ways to EV train my pokemon (I have one month to EV train my team from scratch, this includes: breeding beneficial natures, getting relevant abilities & egg moves and then EV training them & raising them to lv 75)
Thanks again,

Anis

1: Yes

2: Yes, they get the exact same EV's as the pokemon that actually battled.

3: If you can RNG breed, I suggest you try that over soft resetting for a certain IV set and natures, because you would most likely burn your month out. I could also suggest you trade for the things you need, but idk if you have the resources to do so.

How can I get these moves ?

Weavile
Ice Punch, Low Kick, Night Slash, Ice Shard
Tyranitar
Stealth Rock, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Crunch
Darmanitan
Dig, Hammer Arm, Flare Blitz, Stone Edge
Gengar
Thunderbolt, Focus Blast, Shadow Ball, Psychic
Excadrill - Sand Rush
X Scissor, Swords dance, Rock Slide, Earthquake
Conkeldurr - Guts
Payback, Mach Punch, Drain Punch,
Venasaur - Over Grow
Razor Leaf, Headbutt, Earthquake, Giga Drain
Garchomp
Fire Blast, Earthquake, Outrage, Dragon Claw
Kingdra - Swift Swim
Ice Beam, Draco Meteor, Rain Dance, Surf
Blissey
Softboiled, Seismic Toss, Toxic, Thunder wave

And if theres no way for me to get them, what are some good alternative moves? And I know some moves they learn on their own, but ignore those, I just copied n pasted my full list.
I'm playing Pokemon White

Is there any pokemon that can learn both stealth rocks and spikes? I really need entry hazards, and general support for my team.

Here is my team so far:

Excadrill @ Smooth Rock
Sand Rush, Bashful Nature
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Earthquake
Swords Dance
Rock Slide
Sandstorm

This guy is my Sweeper. I picked him up, well because he is amazing at sweeping. I am thinking of picking up either Tyranitar or Hippowdon so I can replace Sandstorm with a more useful move.

Chandelure @ BrightPowder
Flash Fire, Bashful nature
252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Shadow Ball
Flame Burst (Flamethrower, after I get the TM)
Hex (What can I change this to? It will need to be a TM)
Will-O-Wisp (Thinking of changing this too. What should I put?)

Chandelure basically is there for sweeping whatever Excadrill can't. However, he needs some work. Only one move is permanent, and I am at a loss for what else to put. What other moves should a sweeper know? I made the mistake of evolving him too early, because I didn't know the move tutor didn't let you learn moves from previous evolutions.

Ferrothorn @ Big Root
Iron Barbs, Bold Nature
252 Defense, 252 Sp Defense, 4 HP
Iron Defense (Should I change this to ingrain?)
Toxic
Leech Seed (I chose to breed this into him rather than stealth rock/spikes, :(
Power Whip

Ferrothorn is my tank. I'll switch him in, use leech seed (with big root) and toxic. If the opponent is using physical moves, i use Iron Defense. If he's using special moves, I start power whipping. Normally, (especially with physical attackers) Ferrothorn can wait the battle out.

All of the rest of the Pokemon are really interchangeable. I plan on hatching and EV training a Galvantula later. Is this a good idea, or bad?

My main concern here was finding a pokemon with spikes and stealth rock. Support is the biggest thing missing from my team, as I have a Physical Sweeper (Excadrill) and a Sp Sweeper (Chandelure) as well as a toxic tank. Are there any more roles I need to fill? Thanks :3

Crustle can learn both, however you could just run this ferrothorn set:

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpD
Ivs: 0 Speed
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spe)
- Spikes
- Leech Seed / Stealth Rock
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball / Thunderwave / Protect

Here is crustles too.

Crustle @ Lum Berry / Custap Berry / Mental Herb
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 196 HP / 252 Atk / 60 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- X-Scissor
- Stone Edge / Rock Blast

Can anyone reply me good moveset/nature/item/ability/everything for the following 5th gen pokemon?

and this isn't my team i just need feedback on these pokemon.

What would be more useful for Ferrothorn,
Spikes or Stealth Rock?

Is this a good Haxorus set.
[PokeCommunity.com] Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions
Fraxure @ Life Orb (Boosting Attacker)
Nature: Jolly
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 6 HP | 252 Atk | 252 Spe

I am looking for a good Swampert, Torterra, Rampardos, and Krookodile moveset.
