Wats a good moveset for Ninetales? I want her to be more of a special defensive Ninetales, but still have good speed for WOW.

Nintetails has a decent SpDef stat but I wouldn't rely on it. Try this one out

Ninetails @ Leftovers
Timid
4 HP 252 SpAtk 252 Spd
WoW
Hypnosis
Flamethrower/Fire Blast
Energy Ball

Still gets the speed to throw WoW at physical attackers and put potential threats to sleep.

If you're looking for a special wall go back a page or two and look for Dark_Azelf's spread for Hypno.

Also, can anyone confirm/deny this for me?

"Pursuit on the other hand is a move used for catching Pokémon intending to escape Heracross's wrath, and as an added bonus, if Pursuit hits an escaping Pokémon Heracross will not be locked into using it again (rather unusually bypassing the normal effect of a Choice Item)."

Serebii's been wrong in the past (Shoal Salt acts as leftovers in DP) but I just want to be sure.

Thanx a bunch man!

but is there a TM for flamethrower somewhere in Blue?

Yes, there is.

GSC is the only Generation that Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, and Flamethrower were NOT TMs. There is a move tutor for them in Crystal , but there were these problems:
-You had to have beaten the Elite 4.
-He only apeared a couple days a week.
-He wanted 4000 Coins for teach them. Not Pokedollars, Casino Coins.
-You could only use him once each day he appeared.

I'm chocked full of Move information. Egg Moves, TMs, HMs, Move Tutor, Level-up Moves,a nd even Event Moves XD

Smogon's WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more reliable for finding good movesets, but still isn't perfect (Some of the Pokemon were given really weird EV Spreads)

Now, I'M the one that needs help:
I have this Modest Wish Exeggcute, And I was wonder what would be a good moveset for it without getting rid of Wish?

Exegutor@leftovers
252 HP / 80 SP.Atk / 176 Def
Modest Nature
~ Sleep Powder
~ Wish
~ Leech Seed
~ Grass Knot

Try something like that ?

Wow, that seems weird, ima try it out and see.

I recently fought someone with a Mixape on Serebii. I sent out Gengar, with 350 in Speed and instantly using Hypnosis, putting his ape alseep.. He had planned to use Nasty Plot, and instantly labeled me a hacker, stating that his Infernape has exactly 352 speed without any stat bonuses, outspeeding me by 2 points. What I'm wondering, is how did I go first? An agility was passed to Mixape even, and I managed to somehow go first...

No field effects, as far that I know. I had lefties, while he had Life Orb.

Plus as far as I know, the only stat boost I might of had would be a Calm Mind.

Edit: Uh, sorry but I just realized I posted in the wrong thread. Could someone please move this?

Hi all, I need a physical-walling cresselia please :)
(Oh and it needs moonlight, I'll take my chances with sandstorm over being forced into restTalking)

Well this is the standard

Cresselia@leftovers
20 HP / 252 Def / 236 SpA
Modest Nature
- ice Beam
- Reflect
- Moonlight
- Thunderwave / Charge beam / Psychic / Hidden power [Ground/Fighting] / Grass Knot

It needs modest and that much sp.att and Modest to Pwn Garchomp and stuff, seeing as its offensively retarded and becomes dead weight when it cant attack and just flaps around doing nothing.....

Anyways last slot is up for grabs, t-wave cripples stuff, Charge Beam takes bulky waters and most notably gyarados, Psychic gets STAB and helps deal with hera and Ape, Hidden power ground is for Taunt Heatran, Fighting it foe Weavile and T-Tar, Grass Knot helps deal with Tar aswell, if you cant get the Hidden power.

Alternatively, you can go Bold 252 HP / 108 DEF / 148 SP.DEF W/Same moveset...

Aha, thanks very much. I think ill go with the first EV spread. Whats the % for a charge beam boost?

70%

I added some stuff to my previous post that can be used in that last slot to deal with specific threats. Especially on shoddy, you may want to take a look.

I'm looking for a physical wall-Garchomp sand veil starter Hippowdon

Heres what I'm thinking:
Impish nature
216 def/198 hp/96 atk
-Ice Fang/Fire Fang/Crunch (which one?)
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Curse

i got this porygon with good iv's in S.atk and Spd. Everything else is relatively pretty low.

Porygon
Trace ----> this turns into adaptability when it evolves, i think.
Timid
hp: 11,12
atk: 2-8
def: 10-17
S.Atk: 23-28
S.Def: 0-7
spd: 23-28

im wondering what a good moveset for this would look like?
originally i was thinking of this,

Porygon Z@Specs
252 Satk / 252 Spd / 6 Hp
Timid
Adaptability
-Tri Attack
-Ice Beam
-Charge Beam/Thunderbolt
-Dark Pulse

Yep =), thats fine.

OR

Porygon-Z@Life Orb
252 SPEED / 252 SP.ATT / 6 HP
Timid Nature
Trait : Adaptability
- Ice Beam
- Tri Attack
- Dark pulse
- Nasty Plot

nasty Ploxzorz pwnage

HP Fighting is standard in that first slot, however, i dont know if that P-Z has it, so Ice Beam is a really nice replacement.

thanks Dark Azelf.

I like the nasty Plot Set, so i might go with that for now.
i might go test its HiddenPower later with my friend.

Hey, guys. Just wanted to see what some of the standard sets are for Hippowdon. Just got a few I'm considering. The natures I have readily available are adamant and impish, and I really can't see why I'd go with anything else.

Eww, impish, Adamant, Hippow wants Modest or Timid lawlz XD

Anyways,standard set for Hippow is

Hippowdon@Leftovers
252 HP / 252 DEF / 6 ATT
Impish nature
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Roar / Stealth Rock

You can CB the dude with SE/EQ/FF/IF Max hp/Max att @Adamant but Aero does stuff like that better tbh, Physical walling it where is really shines.

I've been working on my Blue Lately

Mew (Obtained via Mew Glitch) - Uber
Earthquake
Swords Dance
Rock Slide
Softoiled

It's exactly like the standard, only Rock Slide over Hyper Beam because I'm too lazy to get the TM XD

Persian - OU
Thunderbolt
Slash
Screech
Bubblebeam

Like Mew, I'm using another attack (Thunderbolt) Over Hyper Beam

In RGBY, CH Ratio is based off a a Pokemon's Base Speed. Persian's Slash is a CH 99.4% of the time.

Golem - OU
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Explosion
TM05

TM05 is a glitch move you get if you trade a level 34 Graveler over to GSC. Upon evolving, it learns Rollout. Trade it back and you get a nifty move that raises Evasion 2 Stages (It's Allowed, Unlike Double Team)

Venusaur
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Body Slam
Razor Leaf

in RGBY, a Venusaur's Razor Leaf, like Persian's Slash, is a CH 99.4% of the time

Cloyster
Clamp
Ice Beam (Will replace for Blizzard, which ahs 90% Accuracy in RGBY and is ALWAYS used over IB)
Relfect (Doubles Defense of the User in RGBY)
Double-Edge

Really high Attack and Special, and Monsterous Defense. Clamp/Wrap/Bind/Fire Spin is Standard on anything that gets it in RGBY, as it makes the opponent completely immobile for 2-5 turns. Helps you get a free Switch, too.

Mewtwo(Plan)
Psychic
Amnesia
Recover
Blizzard

Nothing resist Psychi in RGBY except other Psychics, and it's only weakness is Bug(Whose only Moves are String Shot, Leech Life, Pin Missile, and Twineedle), as Psychic is actually IMMUNE to Ghost.

Amnesia raises Special 2 stages, making RGBY Mewtwo the most broken thing ever to Exist in Pokemon(As Smogon puts it)

This is for Pokemon Stadium on an N64 I got in a Garage Sale.
