For Shoddy purposes only, I just want to ask what's best to replace Jolteon in this current team as it hasn't really been so good for me lately. Gyara's my lead.

CBNape
Skarm
Bliss
Taunt Gyara
Lucario
Jolty

Well taking out jolty would take out your only special attacker so your ognna clearly want something like a special sweeper prob.

Even thought you also don't have a spinner....I would suggest Starmie or Gengar in the last slot prob....

Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm running a Special sweeping Lucario.

I might try Gengar...

I would actually suggest another wall, SkarmBliss ain't as fierce as it used to be, especially since there are like 4 new mixed sweepers that simply tear them apart.

I'd go a defensive ghost, Dusknoir or Spiritomb, as they support SkarmBliss well.

I was just touring around Smogon, and stumbled apon Butterfree. I happen to really like Butterfree from the old version. I don't care much for Smogon's sets, and I see some use for it. Here are my sets:

Butterfree@???
Nature:Timid
EV:252 SPD, 252 SP.ATK
Trait: Compund Eyes
Sleep Powder
Stun Spore
Bug Buzz
HP [ICE]/Energy Ball/Tailwind

With Compund Eyes, it's Sleep Powder and Stun Spore instantly gets to 97.5% acuraccy. That's on the same level of Breloom, while also having a Thunderwave that hits even Ground types. Her only haltering vice is her speed. And defenses, but it's not meant to take hits. Double status is always sexy, and she has a workable Sp.Atk. Bug Buzz is her STAB, while Energy Ball can deal with bulky waters named Swapert, rather than activating Sleep Clause. ICE is for dragons, thinking they can set up, dragons switching in, or dragons whose been statused. I'm not sure how Tailwind works, but if it does simply icrease SPEED, I see a great team use in that. Psychic is for Heracross, but is much less useful.

I need an item for it, hopefully not Focus Sash, but if I do use it, it can be used in conjuntion with Tailwind.

I must say I like it sims. Butterfree is UU right? I've been experimenting with Tailwind Suicune for awhile now, and I must say it's quite effective. Those speed ties with Scarf chomp etc are no longer a problem. Tailwind does increase the speed of your pokemon +1 for 5 turns I believe.

Looking at Starmie's moveset, I've thrown together this, and I was wondering what you think. EVs probably need work though:

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 160 HP/72 Def/200 Spd/76 SDef
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Cosmic Power
- Hydro Pump
- Recover
- Ice Beam/Thunderwave

Redefines Bulky star. Use CP to build defences and recover off the damage. Ice Beam for extra coverage or TW for team support.

Tailwind does increase the speed of your pokemon +1 for 5 turns I believe.

I remember Samson and I having a battle a few months back and he was trying out Tailwind Pidgeot. I remember him saying afterwards that he was frustrated because Tailwind only lasts for 3 turns whereas Srebii says it lasts for 5. Never had Tailwind used against me again, so I can't be sure.

I don't like T-Wave on Starmie, as I've already told you. ;)

Speed EV's -> 216 please. 200 does nothing but dig yourself a hole. You use too much without using enough for them to be effective. I would like Surf over Hydro Pump. No matter what, Starmie doesn't have the defense to start with to make Hydro Pump an option. Could work, but I would much rather stick with the original. ;)

A straight five turns. Just hoping that it didn't have a weakness like Worry Seed.

Ah, I wouldn't rely so much on Cosmic Power, critical's a bastard.

Hey I was wondering if I can get a move set and standard EVs for Torterra, Heatran, Spiritomb, and Milotic. I was also wondering if Arcanine is viable for competitive battling.

I dont know much about torterra, Arcanine is fine for BL battles also.

Tortured said it was cool, I just wanted a bit more perspective.

Oh, yeah

Torterra@Leftovers
Nature:Impish
EV:252 HP, 86 ATK, 176 DEF
Wood Hammer
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Synthesis/Leech Seed

I made this in my early game days, and it's worked ever since.

It can switch in on EQ, and even Heracross Close Combat. All it needs to do is switch in on a Choice user, and then it can power up with Tailwind. After that, it can proceed to double status. Playing it will be difficult, but do-able.

That's actually pretty good, when you think about it, airconditioning. Still, it isn't so bad, if I can switch into certain moves.

I need help with ev's,nature, items and moves for my battle tower team in Pearl. So far:

Vaporeon @ Item Leftovers

Taking over 50% from a move that is 4x resisted is pretty bad lol XD

As for my query

Entei@Leftovers
252 ATT / 252 SPEED /6 HP
Adamant Nature
- Toxic
- Will-0-wisp
- Fire Fang
- Stone Edge

Speed tie with max speed adamant salamence = win (299 lol)

What do you think, rekon it would work. Ive never tried this dude before, so yeah.....Its movepool is awful tbh XP

I don't really like it, but then again, he hasn't much options, right? I just think it needs Timid for the speed.

Oh, and I know it isn't good, but say it out loud. "CB Hera, one of the hardest hitters, can't even OHKO a Butterfree"...embarassing. The laughing stock of the pokeworld.
