Any pokemon that can learn Nasty Plot should avoid Calm Mind, especially with the fast paced metagame we are in.

If you really don't want to use Hypnosis, HP Electric deals with Mantine, HP Ice takes out Altaria... If your using this in OU then you really do need Hypnosis on it, otherwise it is just easily outclassed by Houndoom

Infernape@Focus Sash
252 ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 DEF
Jolly / Naive Nature
-Close Combat
- Taunt / Will-o-wisp /Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock
- Fake Out

Pretty much standard suicide lead ape, however, im unsure on the second slot, Taunt can make life easier for my next guy comes in (after all this is a suicide lead) and shuts down walls and stuff that wants to set up on me. Will-o-wisp cripple physical attackers that im up against and Fire Blast gets STAB and hits Cress, being able to 2hko incoming Cress with blaze activated. I will use 48 Attack / 208 Speed / 252 Sp.Att if im using fire blast

Opinions ?

Here's one I used in the past:
[PokeCommunity.com] Request an Individual Move Set Thread

Yanmega @
Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 6 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spd
Nature: Modest (+SAtk, -SAtk)
-Protect
-Bug Buzz
-Air Slash
-Hypnosis

Protect to have fun scouting and enjoy your Speed boost for the turn. Bugg Buzz and Air Slash for the strong STAB and flinching from Air Slash since you will most likely be going before your foe. Hypnosis away at any counter and to help stop Stealth Rock from getting setup which would screw with the lil guy later without a chance to spin.

And I had a question of my own. What is the best way to go about trying to start an idea for an Ubers team? Should I pick a sweeper and build around it, or should I do that with an opener? Or should I try a theme team, like stalling, Rain Dance, etc.?

I was thinking about my Raichu set. It has been pretty lackluster.

Raichu@Expert Belt
Nature:Timid
Thunderbolt
Grass Knot
Nasty Plot
Focus Punch
EV:Max Spd & Sp.Atk/6 HP

Ignore Timid, I was just too lazy to rebreed. Even with it, it OHKOs Ttar, & mames Blissey.

Most importantly, the problem with this set is that it's

A)Not strong enough. It does great damage when it has a Nasty Plot, but getting that Plot is near impossible, unless they switch, and they'll have counters, &

B)Not fast enough. Don't get me wrong, base 100 Speed is pretty good, but not good enough. Seriously, Garchomp has a frackin' base 102! WTF is 102, anyway? Why not just go 101 & call it a day? What, 101 is soooo easy to outspeed, that one extra measily point will make it the fastest?

...Yeah, but back to the point, even with the boost, it's useless without the Speed to back it up. So I thought maybe he could run a SubSalac set, sort of like Empoleon or Jolteon with their SubBerry sets.

Raichu@Salac Berry
Nature:Naive/Timid
Thunderbolt
HP ICE
Nasty Plot
Substitute
EV:Max Spd & Sp.Atk/6 HP

Simple. Go in on a poke that Raichu forces a switch (he does forces a few switches), use Substitute on the switch, begin Plotting away, the same as any sub-berry set.

Well, I was thinking about why these sets work for pokes like Empoleon & Jolteon. Well, Empoleon pulls it off since it has Agility & Torrent, especially Torrent. Plus, it has 11 resistances. Jolteon pulls it off because he has amazing Sp.Atk & Speed as it is, so he only needs a single boost in Sp.Atk to start sweeping. So I thought Raichu could do the same. Unlike Emoleon, he doesn't need to use Agility, he only needs a single boost of speed to outspeed most of the metagame (that is non-Scarfed, of course), and unlike Jolteon, he has Nasty Plot to play with.

I need some help with a Bronzong i'm currently working on:
IV's
HP: 17
Attack: 28
Def: 23
SAttack: 23
SDef: 11
Speed: 1

EV's
252 HP/ 128 Attack/ 128 SDef

Nature: Sassy (+SDef, -Spd)
Ability: Levitate
Held Item: Leftovers
-Rest
-Substitute
-Toxic
-Gyro Ball

Any changes needed?

Needs more Hp and more sp.def

Sub is poop on walls.

Bronzong@Leftovers/ Lum berry
252 HP / 74 ATT / 110 DEF / 74 SP.DEF
Trait : levitate
Relaxed Nature
- Hypnosis
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Reflect / Light Screen / Earthquake

Use Lum berry with this as a lead. However use Leftovers otherwise.

OR

Bronzong@Leftovers/ Shed Shell / Macho brace.
252 HP / 74 ATT / 110 DEF / 74 SP.DEF
Trait : levitate
Relaxed Nature
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Sleep Talk
- Rest

Macho Brace Powers up Gyro ball here. Shed Shell lets you escape magnezone.

Are we allowed to post a thread about in-games teams? *not many places do allow it, which seems, kinda baised to me* :\

Ok, i feel this needs to be said.

Anything works ingame, even a team of 6 Magikarps, so its kind of a moot to post in game teams and if submitted these sort of threads/posts will not be allowed regardless.

DO NOT post ingame teams or pokemon anywhere in this forum.

Only post competitive teams and Pokemon please
Fortunately, no you cannot.

Ugh. *Why do the forums have to be biased nowadays?* But thanks.
Well...I guess I could post up a couple of my pokemon for competitive battling.

Crobat
Item: Black sludge
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Sp.Atk/ 252 Spd
Move Set:
Nasty Plot
Sludge Bomb
HP (ground)
Dark Pulse

Glalie
Item: Expert Belt
Ability: Ice Body
EVs: 4 Hp/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Move Set:
Avalanche
Earthquake
Crunch
Explosion

I'm pretty new to competitive battling, so, if anyoe can help that'd be good. *I don't want amazingly strong pokemon*

Hi can anyone rate this gengar please? I kbnow gengar is more special sweeper but hows this?

Rash nature
black sludge

-Thunderbolt
-Thunder wave
-Shadow ball
-Confuse ray

Double status is the idea, shadow ball and thunderbolt is just so you can hit something

Umm Gengar can't get Thunderwave

If you really want double status Will o Wisp + Hypnosis is so much better, and Gengar can actually learn both moves, as for the other moves, Shadow Ball and Focus Blast/HP Fight hit everything for at least neutral damage.

Ok thnaks, I got the gengar with thunder wave of my mate and he promised he hademt used action replay on it (ohhhhh!!!) so sorry about that :0 so I will go with wil-o-wisp and hp instead, thanks :)

Ps:I noticed some pokes have more than one HP type, how does that work?

No they don't. Each pokemon has its own HP type. I don't pokemon as in species, but each individual pokemon.
