Well, Suicide Froslass is a decent lead so...

Froslass@ Focus Sash
Nature : Timid(-Atk, +Spe)
EV : 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-Ice Beam / Shadow Ball
-Taunt
-Spikes
-Destiny Bond

Status Support Rotom would do a nice job burning stuff for you and paralyzing quick threats.

Rotom@ Leftovers
Nature : Timid(-Atk, +Spe)
EV : 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-Will-o-Wisp
-Thunderwave
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball

I don't have much experience with Drifblim to be honest so you may want someone else to give you a decent set.

SubCM Mismagius is pretty good so go for that.

Mismagius@ Leftovers
Nature : Timid(-Atk, +Spe)
EV : 48 HP / 208 SpA / 252 Spe
-Calm Mind
-Shadow Ball
-Substitute
-HP Fighting / Thunderbolt

You could use a decent status absorber so STalk Tomb can do the job pretty well.

Spiritomb@ Leftovers
Nature : Bold(-Atk, +Def)
EV : 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
-Sleep Talk
-Rest
-Dark Pulse / Shadow Ball
-HP Fighting

Hope I helped >3

I need a recommended moveset, EV's, and item for my timid Gengar that I'm currently EV training. Can someone please help?

Gengar @ Life Orb
4 Defense / 252 Sp Attack / 252 Speed
Shadowball
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
HP Fire / Explosion

Gengar @ Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
4 Defense / 252 Sp Attack / 252 Speed
Shadowball
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
HP Ice / Trick / Explosion

Depends on what you want it to do pretty much. Life Orb and Specs sets are good for all out attacking, and the scarf set is for revenge killing.

Gengar@Life Orb / Expert Belt [With Sub]
252 SP.ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 DEF
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Will-O-Wisp / Protect / Substitute

My preferred platinum Gengar set. Basically you burn your initial counter and then sweep. Most of Gengars so called counters/checks HATE getting burned, see things like Scizor [Pursuit or Bullet Punch mind games], Tyranitar, Metagross, Bronzong, Jirachi etc. Will-o-Wisp is the option for you if you want to spread status and has the added bonus of loling at Pursuit mindgames. Protect and Sub are mainly for choice Pursuit users like Scizor again but take less prediction and basically give you a heads up to see what its going to do. Protect on it and if it Pursuits you stay in and HP Fire, if it Bullet Punches you switch or just attack safely from behind your sub.

Shadow Ball + Focus Blast provide unresisted coverage so should be the basis of your set. Hidden Power Fire hits problem pokemon like dual type steels and is generally better than Thunderbolt on such a set and i personally believe it is a MUST on platinum Gengar it it wishes not to lose to the steel dominated metagame. Hidden Power Fire also lets you not lose to the ever increasing Payback sp.defensive Forry too.

Well that player was pretty stupid, some UU Pokemon work fine in OU.

A Pokemon is considered broken when the metagame can't handle it, for example Rayquaza is broken for OU because it could completely sweep teams easily with it's massive offensive stats.

I might try a UU battle they sound more challenging

hax items include quick claw, focus band, kings rock, and items that really depend on luck
These items turn competitive battlers into whining babies, so i suggest never using them if you battle competitively,
The possibility of freezing 2 pokemon is highly unlikely, the highest freeze chance is 10% and at most 20% with Serene Grace, so best just forget about it as with hard hitting of todays metagame, no pokemon will be taking more than 3-4 hits in a battle

Of so any item that only activate by chance/luck are Hax item I see. Do abilities that increase things like critical hit ration violate Hax clause or just items.

Seems like a stupid rule to me takes the strategy out of the game but if other players want to complain I guess it can't be helped.

No, only items.

Not everyone goes by it, it is just frowned upon because it does not involve strategy.

I just migrated a Typhlosion to Pokemon platinum and I could use some advice. Could somebody recomend a moveset for a Relaxed nature Typhlosion? I know relaxed isen't exactly the best nature for typhlosion (according to sources) But is there any way to make good use of this nature or should I just rebreed and hope for a more useful nature?

Relaxed nature on a Typhlosion is impossible to work with. I'd strongly consider rebreeding for something else, such as...

Typhlosion@Choice Scarf
Mild/Rash nature
252sp.atk/112 speed/144 attack

Eruption
Focus Punch
Overheat
Earthquake/Hidden Power Ice

With those speed EVs and choice scarf, it typically gets the jump on various starting Pokemon and smashes them with Eruption. Focus Punch 2HKOs Blissey wanting to come in on your Eruption/Overheat. Overheat is for when Typhlosion has been weakened by Stealth Rock, and you still need a powerful substitute. The choice of Earthquake vs. HP Ice is whether to hit Flash Fire Pokemon much harder, or to hit dragons. Usually HP Ice is used, but EQ has uses. If you wanted to be a real jerk to some Pokemon, you could include Will-o-Wisp over Overheat. It'll aggravate things like Tyranitar and physical dragons a lot, crippling them for the rest of the match.

In Uber ladder I realized I have to look out for Wobbufett.

I don't know which Pokemon to use but I know it will need the moves Toxic, Pursuit, and Protect/Detect and has to be holding Shed Shell.
Any good Pokemon for a Wobb counter? My strategy is to Toxic it to death since it can't attack without me attacking it first. Pursuit is if I see a switch is going to happen.

There's no sure-fire counter for it, but you can take it down with Darkrai or Tyranitar (which can also Pursuit). Another option is to Taunt it and then set up on it. When Taunt runs out, Taunt it again or OHKO it with a powered up attack. Taunting CMMewtwo/NPDarkrai can work here.

Put Groudon and Shiftry on your Uber team:

Shiftry @ Life Orb
Chlorophyll
Modest/Rash
6 HP / 252 SPA / 252 SPE
~ Nasty Plot
~ Dark Pulse
~ Grass Knot
~ HP Ice

use a Groudon for support, and be careful switching in :D, but this thing can do some serious damage.

Is it okay to have at least one legendary on your team you know to where it's not considered cheating or having over powered pokemon?

It's totally dependent on what you and your opponent decide. Generally, more than one legend is allowed in most standard battles, because being a legendary pokemon doesn't necessarily mean it's overpowered. The tier placements of each legendary are accurate representations of their effectiveness in battle. There are even some legendary pokemon that are in the NU tier, so they definitely wouldn't be considered overpowered.

Oh yeah I also was wondering if there was a good moveset for a bold natured tangrowth. Unless bold is a bad nature for it.

i love surprizing wobb with this

ttar@life orb
rash/mild
252spatk/252atk/4hp
darkpulse
crunch
focus punch
sub

great for confusing wobb, if used correctly

Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP / 228 Def / 28 Spe
- Sleep Powder
- Knock Off
- Grass Knot
- Leech Seed

Basic Tangrowth set, which can support your team greatly when used properly. Since Bold hinders Attack, use Grass Knot over Power Whip. Grass Knot is still good compared to Power Whip sometimes, and can still 2HKO Gyarados, in common battle conditions, like Power Whip. Everything else is self explanatory.

I don't really understand what that 28 Spe is for =| Why not just add on to either Defense or SpA since the only really notable thing you'll even speed tie with is other Tangrowth and maybe the Regis. You have no business staying in on Steel or Ice, and Regirock can't do anything to you.

28 Speed EVs outpace Relaxed Swampert, so you can KO it easily.

Can somebody please tell me whats the big deal about the different kinds of Hidden Power and why its so commonly used?

Like Hidden Power Ice or Hidden Power Fire.....:X
