Lol Aura, he said Chimchar :p

If a pokemon uses a move such as Mind Reader, Foresight etc. and the opponent switches out, does the move still have a 100% chance to hit whatever switches in?

  • Since those moves only affect the targeted Pokemon and switching out causes the target Pokemon to be different, it shouldn't have a 100% chance to hit.

  • I have bred a Bold Empoleon, with 31 Defense IVs but no egg moves. I want it to act as a tank and be able to absorb dragon moves. Can anyone recommend a set for it? Currently I'm running:
    Empoleon@Leftovers
    Bold
    252 Def ? Sp.Atk ? HP ? Sp.Def
    Surf
    Ice Beam
    Stealth Rock
    Grass Knot
    Can someone improve on this?

Being ignored i'll repost this better version <.< Im trying to make the best resistance team i can...so far my team is good on resistance but not good seeing as i have 3 Physical Sweeps. 1 Special Sweep, a Parafusion, and a Stall, im also not sure they are the best resistance Pokemon i can use...(don't want Spiritomb as its hard to get and no Sableye because i don't have that game Sapphire) the move sets also need alot of work...

    Rotom @Leftovers (OU Parafusion)
    Levitate
    Modest
    252 HP/40 SpAtk/216 Spd
    - Discharge
    - Confuse Ray
    - Air Slash
    - Shadow Ball

    Ludicolo @Leftovers (UU Stall)
    Swift Swim
    Calm
    252 HP/76 SpAtk/180 Spd
    - Leech Seed
    - Protect
    - Toxic
    - Ice Beam

Gallade @Life Orb (BL Physical Sweeper)
    Steadfast
    Adamant
    4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
    - Swords Dance
    - Close Combat
    - Night Slash
    - Psycho Cut

Flygon @Life Orb (OU Physical Sweeper)
    Levitate
    Jolly
    80 HP/252 Atk/176 Spd
    - Dragon Claw
    - Stone Edge
    - Earthquake
    - Roost

Drapion @Scope Lens (UU CRIT Physical Sweeper)
    Sniper
    Jolly
    252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
    - Swords Dance
    - Night Slash
    - Cross Poison
    - Earthquake
(also could change him to be a wall but i am unsure)

Heatran @Leftovers (OU - Special Sweeper)
    Flash Fire
    Naive
    4 HP/252 SpAtk/252 Spd
    - Fire Blast
    - Earth Power
    - Explosion
    - Dragon Pulse

Defensive Empoleon usually wants this set:

    Empoleon @ Leftovers
    Calm
    252 HP / 160 Defense / 92 Special Defense / 4 Speed
    Surf
    Grass Knot
    Ice Beam / Stealth Rock
Roar / Yawn / Knock Off

Calm is generally a better nature, but I guess Bold is useable. This is good for Kingdra, Latias and the like.

You should just post an actual RMT since you have six members...Otherwise this will probably just get ignored =/

I can tell you right now this team is incredibly slow. I'd put a scarf on Heatran so you can at least revenge kill some stuff. DD Salamence with one boost 6-0's you, as well anything else that can boost up and outspeed your team, which is a lot of sweepers. You don't really need Drapion, Flygon and Gallade, who are basically all doing the exact same thing. Make sure you're covering all the prominent threats in todays metagame.

Also, Ludicolo without rain support is kind of meh...Since he can't really use all of his abilities to the fullest.

I did post an actual RMT 3 of them for the last 4 days and they havent popped up...anything that works that has alot of resistance?

  • Hello......

I've brought a new Platinum game and I have a doubt on it......
When I start my game and finish till sandgem town, I will trade my good pokemon from my Diamond game. They have 0Evs. I want to fill their EVs according to what they should be and can I do that. I mean I get my pokes from Dia, Get their EVs to what I had planned for the team by energy boosters and then play the rest of the game. Is it possible? Will the EVs change again?

Its possible, and when you EV a pokemon, it keeps those EV's unless you erase them with the EV reducing berries.

  • Glaceon and Leafeon move set needed.
    Glaceon - Brave Nature
    Leafeon - Modest Nature

Those are both terrible natures for both Glaceon and Leafeon. There are no viable sets that even use those natures.

Sorry, but it NEEDS a complete overhaul. Only one that could sort of work is P-Z, and it isn't all that good anymore. Click Here for a list of all competitive Pokemon with the correct natures, EV spreads, and held items.
