Quick Claw is banned in competitive play if that's what you plan on using it for :O

Hasty is a pretty horrible nature for Empoleon, but it can pull off a lead set pretty well:

Empoleon@ Chople Berry
Quiet Nature
252 HP / 238 SpA / 20 Atk
Hydro Pump
Aqua Jet
Grass Knot
Stealth Rock

Credit to Vance and D_A for this set. With a combination of Hydro Pump and Aqua Jet, you can take out many common leads nowadays. Grass Knot sends Swampert running for cover, and Chople Berry protects you from fighting attacks. It's actually bulky enough to survive an Earthquake from Swampert or Metagross.

You generally don't want to rely on Empoleon to outspeed stuff, as its base speed is rather poor, unless of course you're running an agility set. But since you want to lead, bulky is better =P

How is Quick Claw banned? Sorry I'm sort of new to competitive play.

What is the highest times Doubleslap will attack?
Thanks If anybody replies to this answer and Rep will be given for the Answer.

With Grip Claw I think it can go up to 8

No one does it?-last i checked i can still get a doubles wifi match on PBR
No one takes it seriously?- go to youtube and you will find quite a few battlers who actually build double battling strategies

It's a lot less common but yes there are players who do doubles I generally perform better there with my current Psychic team than in singles.

Quick Claw is a hax item, and therefore falls under the Hax Item Clause

Never heard of that clause

Anyway, I'm trying to decide on a doubles lead that can balance out my Dodrio's weaknesses. I've been thinking about Marowak because of Lightningrod, but I don't like the fact that a well-aimed Blizzard from any decent Abomasnow will probably kill them both. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Oh, and I'm trying to stick to Kanto/Johto Pokemon only; though tiers don't concern me.

Nothing compared to the amount of people who would rather do singles =|

What im trying to get at is not mass preference,
As long as there are people on PC that prefer double battles, shouldn't there be at least some section on double battling?

The problem is that there isn't enough to constitute it. If there was actually more than a handful of them, then it could be considered. Currenly, there isn't a large enough population of double battlers to require a section.

Okay for Ubers I'm thinking
- Lead with Wobbuffet
- Shaymin-S
- Manaphy
- Giratina
- Kyogre
- 6th team mate is still being decided suggestions are welcome

You could try Heatran with Earth Power. You've got two straight up Water types; Heatran can help with those Electric/Grass weaknesses.

What exactly are Hax items?
Also, for Freeze clause Freeze only happens by chance so if you Freeze two Pokemon its accidental so what to do?

The Request Individual Moveset sticky is for doubles
Yes I also would like to see double battles more prominent hope it catches on

Hax items = item that needs luck to activate and raises stuff like evasion or crit rate. Brightpowder, Quick Claw, Scope Lens, King's Rock, etc.

Freeze clause, IMO, is a stupid rule. Freeze is only a second effect, and the chances are quite slim. If it happens, I'd say just play on. If someone you are battling does play with freeze clause though, then...it probably depends on the person you're battling.

hax items include quick claw, focus band, kings rock, and items that really depend on luck
These items turn competitive battlers into whining babies, so i suggest never using them if you battle competitively,
The possibility of freezing 2 pokemon is highly unlikely, the highest freeze chance is 10% and at most 20% with Serene Grace, so best just forget about it as with hard hitting of todays metagame, no pokemon will be taking more than 3-4 hits in a battle

It wont follow the 1st 2nd Gen deal, but Manectric has Lightning rod to attract electric attacks to him, has decent speed and special attack and flamethrower to boot, oh and of course an electric resistance, lol

For OU battles I was under the impression that the rule is OU and all tiers under are allowed so why do people get angry when I send out a Pokemon thats UU they're techincally at the advantage there

I don't see why people would get mad if you have a few UU pokes on your team, when in fact someone of them definitely have their uses in OU if played correctly. Idk, it's your choice who you use, so if people get mad, just laugh at them, lol.

Here's some Pokemon I think should be Uber but are OU right now:
-Celebi
Reason: Same base stats as Mew and Manaphy and a decent moveset

-Heatran
Reason: A powerful and really bulky legendary

Don't get angry if you disagree there just suggestions
Celebi has good stats but it has the most weaknesses in the game. Mew is Uber due to learning every move and Manaphy because it is pretty damn bulky and it would overcentralize the metagame by making rain teams more popular.

Heatran, it is bulky but it has some nasty weaknesses such as Fighting, 4x to Ground and Water and it also isn't broken so it's not Uber :P

I can see Mew with it's ability to learn every move TM and Tutor and Egg moves there are but I wasn't suggesting Mew and Manaphy be moved to OU. For Ubers a number of them have a 4x weakness, Rayquaza and Chomp are 4x weak to Ice for example.

Yeah I was in a battle and I forgit what I sent out I think it was Girafarig (used to pass on Wish) and some was like "This is an OU battle" and refused to continue the battle.

Also what does it mean for a Pokemon to be broken. Like when people say such and such Pokemon is too "broken" for the OU metagame.

Well that player was pretty stupid, some UU Pokemon work fine in OU.

A Pokemon is considered broken when the metagame can't handle it, for example Rayquaza is broken for OU because it could completely sweep teams easily with it's massive offensive stats.
