Richard Steel's Battle Stadium

Could you wait a bit Richard? Night and I are having a rematch because some weird phenomena occurred in our previous battle.

By the way did you try to IM me a while back?

I dunno... maybe. But ready for that match?

Pidgey, I can battle you after Punishment, okay?

EDIT: Pidgey got to me first. XD If you want to wait, Punishment, we can battle after.

That was such a horrible match on my part. : /

I had something going there in the beginning and I completely ruined it. XD Ohh well.

Expect a rematch sometime again. I'm tired so I am off to bed now.

That was a good battle! It's very rare to find someone who actually knows when to switch. But I think I outsmarted you a few times (bye-bye Ninjask! haha). It was a fun match!

However, I got a bit worried when Fire Fang missed against Ninjask the first time... I've learned to counter the Ninjask trick pretty well, but that was a risk on my part, because one wrong move, and your team can be annihilated. Luckily you got a little arrogant and went for a second Swords Dance. XD

I do really love my Metagross... I don't care how good a sweeper Garchomp is, Metagross will always be my trump card.

Thanks for the match, though! I look forward to our next.

PS: Pidgey, that was a good match too! You did get better since we last battled, so I'm proud of you! I suggest to learn when to switch, and predict accordingly. Because up against a fellow prediction artist, it can make a world of difference, as I saw in my battle with Punishment. Just keep going, and one day you'll be able to take me down! I expect it. ;)

Anyways, I'm done with battles for the night... it's time for some R&R, but tomorrow is another day. Also, this week is gonna be VERY hectic, so I won't be able to battle too too much, but I shall try my best! So if you want to challenge me, either post here, or send me a PM, and I'll get back to ya ASAP.

what are clauses???

what are clauses???

..............................................

Clauses are certain "conditions" many use in a battle, such as Sleep Clause (you may only put one Poke to sleep at a time, excluding the move Rest), or Species Clause (may not use two of the same Pokes), or Item Clause (only 1 or 2 of the same item may be used). There's a full list of them in the stickied thread "Standard Competitive Rules", or something like that.

Anyways, I'm currently open for battles, if anyone wants to have a go!

Alright, Shift buddy! You shall get one!

But after my battle with Fiore; she got to me first.

Fiore, you ready?

Wow, Fiore, THAT was a battle! Aerodactyle always frightens me... I'm never sure if it's Adamant or Jolly. If it's Adamant, Starmie can outrun him for a near OHKO, but if Jolly, he outruns all of my guys. So I took a gamble, and luckily she did outrun him. :)

I also wasn't expecting Blissey to be OHKOed by Earthquake after a single Swords Dance... I usually make sure I do at least two, but my HP wasn't high enough to pull that off, because I underestimated your Porygon-Z; I thought he was gonna use Thunderbolt, and then BAM with a Tri-Attack AND a Burn. That sucked, but it made up for me freezing your Focus Sashed Garchomp. However, once you switched out, I saw the opportunity to lay down some Spikes and make sure Chomp didn't make it back into the game.

Either way, that battle made my week. So thanks for that! I'll be looking forward to a rematch!

EDIT: Shift, let's do it!

Ya, I was no where near close. I imagine I could have done better if I hadn't had been frozen ;) I was also amazed about aerodactyl falling to starmie. It's jolly, which was why it surprised me. great battle though.

It is Jolly? Unless it has bad Speed IVs, there shouldn't be any reason outran him. Unless you didn't max out Speed EVs? Because my Starmie is Timid, 31 IV in Speed, and max EVs in Speed. That would make her Speed at level 100... 361, exact. Do you know your Aero's Speed at 100? Only reason I could see that Starmie outran Jolly Aero is that 1.) his Speed IVs are piss poor, or 2.) you didn't max out Speed EVs.

Damn, now I'm curious.

Either way, Timid Starmie rocks my socks. Destroys almost every opener, unless it's holing Focus Sash like Shift's Salemence. Shift, you OHKOed Starmie, you bastard!

xD Don't blame me for having an excellent idea at the time.

A win by paralysis... splendid! Realize if Skarm had not been fully paralyzed, chances are I would have won, even against that slow Donphan. So yet another hax loss, yay!

Oh, and Focus Sash is so utterly cheap, I'm gonna consider using it myself.

Lol. Probaly the only cheapest thing I ever used. I don't like using Garchomp. =/

But dude, that was effing GREAT. Greatest battle we've had so far where I was actually a challenge. And that paralysis should've came earlier. My Donphan's teeth hurt from biting into the steel too many times. xD But I was completely caught off guard by Starmie. I thought you would lead with Skarm, but still. Focus Sash. xD Metagross didn't meet my standards however. And Gar, I hate Gar. Boo Gar. Bit my Heracross. effing n00b.

I thought you would send out Blissey on Mence though =/

Mence probaly would've got it anyway. And Alakazam did so much to Blissey. After a Calm Mind. And Special Defense was lowered too. xD

Sending Blissey into Salamence is really very risky... you never know if it's a physical or a special sweeper. If it's a special sweeper, Blissey walls him, although SpecsMence scares her. If she switches into a physical sweeper, Blissey is dead.

And yeah, lowering Blissey's Sp.Def REALLY hurt, and probably was another reason you won - Blissey may have survived that Earthquake by a few HP, and enough to Aromatherapy Skarmory. But oh well! You win some, you lose some. :)
