    What are your thoughts on being able to ride certain Pokemon in the games?

    You could ride Rhyhorn, Mamoswine, Skiddo and Gogoat in XY and be on the back of Lapras when surfing.

    In ORAS you could fly on Latias/Latios and be on the back of Kyogre or Sharpedo when surfing or diving.

    You could also ride on Latias/Latios, Entei, Raikou and Suicune in Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs.

    Are there any more circumstances?

    I loved being able to ride on all of the above though disappointed at the limitations. It's something that I really hope they expand upon in future games.

    What I also think would be cool is if they made a mini game or spin off game around Rhyhorn Racing! Aside from the racing you could care for and train your Rhyhorn!

    Are there other ways you'd like rideable Pokemon to be used?
     
    If they scrapped HM's and just enabled abilities, Fly, Surf, Dive, Waterfall then why not add Ride?

    I so hope they remove the HM's and just add the skills as learnable abilities separate to new TM's for their special moves.

    Riding, aside from gogoat, was pretty bad in X/Y. If they made it more fluid then it would be great fun and an alternative to cycling.
     
    In Pokémon Ranger, players can also ride Torkoal with the Field Move called Magma Flow.

    While it's just like a variation of Surf from the main games, I'd like to see that from the main series.

    As the OP, Spoony6205, said these features should be expand further. It can be into some racing mini games, think racing in field/sea with Mario Kart graphics, but instead of racing with a kart, you race with your Pokémon instead.
     
    I think it'd be great if Ride became an HM and you could ride your own Pokemon at any time! But I guess it would somehow have to deal damage in battle and I can't think how it would?

    The player would jump on the Pokémon and it'd run towards your opponent, combo attack. :p

    I loved the Rhyhorn/Gogoat stuff in X/Y, though I expected to be able to use Gogoat to go anywhere. Jumping up ledges would be a fun way to discover new areas and items.

    COMBO! I like it!

    Yes! You could use a Gogoat instead of Rock Climb!
     
    Personally, I would love to see more Pokémon featured for riding as well as Surf and Fly since there are plenty that it could be used with for sure. It's a fun feature that should be expanded upon.
