Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Modest
124 HP / 148 Defense / 16 Speed / 220 Special Attack
~ Thunderbolt
~ Hidden Power: Ice
~ Roost
~ Thunderwave
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Credit to Junior from Smogon Forums, This is his Zapdos set and i'm not trying to claim I invented it or anything. Here is his explanation for the EVs and moveset.
A fantastic lead and can take hits from almost everything. Cripples those thinking they can OHKO this Zapdos and then easily roosting off their damage. Max attack (Adamant + 252 Atk EVs) Gyarados can't even OHKO this with Stone Edge. That goes same for Weavile's Ice Punch.
This set beats any other Zapdos except the uncommon Sleep Talkers.
EVs may seem a tad random but they're not.
The current speed EVs allows it to outspeed any adamant Breloom which may threaten Zapdos with Spore.
124 HP and 148 Def are for the reasons above, surviving any hit and Crippling or OHKOing anything in its way.
With some SAtk EVs, this also allows Zapdos to sweep quite well.

Metagross @ Choice Band
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Adamant [ + Attack - Special Attack ]
236 Attack / 252 HP / 20 Defense
~ Thunderpunch
~ Explosion
~ Earthquake
~ Meteor Mash
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An old strategy with a few new tricks. There are more options for this set now as Metagross has gained some new attacks, along with some of its older attacks becoming physically based instead of specially based. As with other sets that use Choice items, prediction is key. Meteor Mash usually does tons of damage, resisted or not. Earthquake works well on many Pokémon that resist Meteor Mash. Explosion is capable of defeating all but the toughest Pokémon in one blow; even Skarmory loses around 85% of its HP. ThunderPunch will down Pokémon like Milotic and Skarmory in two hits and will be a quick kill upon foes like Gyarados and Starmie.

Kingdra @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Nature: Lonely [ + Attack - Defense ]
252 Attack / 240 Special Attack / 16 Speed
- Rain Dance
- Waterfall
- Hidden Power [ Grass ] / Surf / Hydro Pump
- Dragon Pulse
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A strange set on the surface, but this does work. Rain Dance boosts Kingdra's speed to 420, beating out even Choice Scarf Porygon-Z. With the Speed boost and the power boost to both Water moves, Kingdra can lay down quite a hurting. Waterfall will 2HKO Blissey with Mysticwater, but Life Orb gives even more kick. Dragon Pulse is designed to handle anything that resists Water, with the exception of Empoleon.

Mesprit @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Calm
212 HP / 180 Def / 72 Sp. Def / 44 Sp. Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Credit to T_S for this set.
This Mesprit is a very effective counter for both Gyarados and Garchomp as well as the versatile Infernape (to an extent). As such, carrying it on your team allows greater freedom of choice regarding the other five Pokémon slots since it covers three potent threats by itself. The defensive spread allows it to come into any of the three without much concern and force them to switch.

Donphan @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Impish
252 Defense / 252 HP / 4 Attack
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Knock Off
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Donphan has a lot of useful selling points, but perhaps the most notable of these is Rapid Spin. With Stealth Rock flying around everywhere, the ability to remove the floating rocks can be a great asset to every team.
Earthquake is always a great move, especially when you have STAB and an impressive Attack stat to back it up, like Donphan. Unlike his fellow spinning Ground type, Claydol, Donphan's Earthquake packs quite a punch and can start to take its toll on sturdy Ghosts like Dusknoir and Spiritomb, who will block his spinning attempts. Ice Shard is a really awesome attack on Donphan, because not only does it bypass Donphan's rather pitiful Speed, but it hits the ever threatening Dragons incredibly hard and can also take down other speedy, weakened foes; unfortunately, its pitiful base power will let Donphan down against anything that it isn't 4x effective on.
Knock Off is just an excellent move and Donphan can make a real nuisance of himself with it, removing Leftovers from tanks like Swampert and Suicune.

Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Calm
252 HP / 252 Special Defense / 4 Special Attack
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
- Stealth Rock
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Empoleon is a good special wall—it takes at worst 43% from a Choice Specs Salamence Fire Blast. Ice Beam will beat said Salamence, while Grass Knot is effective against fellow Water-types. Surf is STAB. Stealth Rock is a welcome addition to any team.
