    Battle Subway

The subway system was a neat concept, I think. However, like most things, it probably could do with some improvements. What did you like about the subways? What did you dislike about them? What would you change about the subway system if you could? Maybe it would go places other than Anville Town. Maybe you'd re-imagine the battle systems. What would you do to make it the best you could?

I'd like for it to have actually... showed Unova, while battling. I guess I have that urge from back in Johto with the train and all. ;; I liked that you got BP but idk, it just seemed long and time consuming as trainers got smarter. Overall it's fine I just wanted more visual stuff, rly.

The battle subway was long and boring. It was just the battle frontier but...

    ...

It was the same. I only used it to get the items that are exclusive there. But I have a guy for that now so...pointless!

Only used it a few times tbh, and it bored me so I've just kind of left it for now. Pretty poor overall imo.

Aside from the battling component, I though the subway was alright. As Nica said, it would've been better if we actually saw something (although there isn't much to see underground). It would've been cool if it took you to the places on the map, so I wouldn't always have to carry Fly.

I thought the Battle Subway was okay, but I think there should be trains that can go to other locations in Unova (just a thought, since there's already Fly to take people to other places). I also think there should be trains that utilize triple and rotation battling.

I would change the battle subway so that there could be a biggie boss at the end of each set like a really tough battle frontier brain I think that this part of the game needs to be more of a challenge but otherwise the battle subway is a brilliant idea that really should be kept for the next games.

I hated that you were preset to Level 50. I made the mistake of walking in with Pokémon at Level 27, and instead of fighting someone else with that level of Pokémon, you instead get jumped up to a level where you would be expected to know some good moves...and are walking in with Tackle, String Shot, Leer, and Ember against someone who knows Earthquake. In other words, you can't really do it until the post-game.

It also didn't help that my first try was with my Fire starter and the first Pokémon up was Ice type, and it managed to snowball me in two hits.

    A bit lame IMO.

I don't know what to think about the battle subway...
To one side, I love the concept. Battling over and over, with an aim (beating the subway bosses), it's great. But, I reproach the lack of battle modes. I think it would have been better if, like in the Battle Frontier, you have many battle mode, and not only the basic "Simple", "Double", and "Multi". I guess it'll be improved in BW2, and at least I hope so. The plainness of the Battle Subway makes it becoming quickly annoying actually ... That's a pity.
