Hey guys! I have a Digimon Roleplay idea that I'd like to throw at you guys and just hear you guys' opinion about it:
Spoiler:When the Digidestined finally defeated the likes of MaloMyotismon, it was assumed that Digimon and Humans could live together peacefully in the future now that all of the evils that antagonized both worlds were gone. Peace could only last for so long. The effects of Digimon living in the Real World eventually took its toll as several reports of Digimon cruelty, terrorism, and other horrible things began taking over news reports in print and other media. With the Real World being completely distraught over the new addition of Digimon intertwining with Humans, it was ultimately decided by lead officials on Earth and the Gods of the Digital World that it was time for separation. It was going to certainly be tough for most people, but it was for the greater good of both worlds that things returned to the way they were originally.
With all Digimon returning back to the Digital World, its Gods (known as the Olympus Twelve) decreed that, although they were thankful for the humans in helping them save the Digital World, it was too risky and too dangerous for them to interact ever again. Therefore, the Olympus Twelve permanently sealed the Digital Port, taking it upon themselves to conquer any evil that would arise in the Digital World. Five members of the Olympus Twelve felt that there should not be a permanent seal of the Digital World, but all decisions were voted on and, of course, majority ruled with seven figures voting against five.
Some time after the permanent seal of the Digital Port, strange things happened. Lush farms that were once more than capable of growing crops somehow died, areas of bright and warm sun experiences freezing temperatures, and the factory areas collapsed to the ground due to a cave in of the foundation. Something was not right about the Digital World and it appeared that things began to become unbalanced. It turned out that a bug in the algorithm that kept the Digital World sustainable was unleashed due to the Digital Port not being opened in so long. This bug grew into what was known as Argomon. Argomon, a dangerously intelligent Virus Digimon, immediately attacked the highest authority, the Olympus Twelve and single-handedly defeated each of them in battle, instantly rising to power as overseer of the Digital World. Soon, the minor unbalances that harmed the Digital World turned into major problems. The solution: the Digimon needed the power of the humans again.
Five members of the Olympus Twelve somehow survived the attacks, but de-digivolved into their Rookie forms (Coronamon, Lunamon, Bearmon, Kamemon, and Syakomon). Utilizing their remaining Olympus Energy to temporarily open the Digital Port in an effort to locate human partners that they could take back with them to the Digital World to retake the throne from Argomon and his now developing royal army. It sounded pretty easy, but in order for these members of the Olympus Twelve to fully reach their potential, they had to accomplish major tasks in order to get their Olympus Energy back. Can they locate partners and save the Digital World?
So, what do you guys think? The main driving force behind it is Greek Mythology. I'm utilizing five of the Olympus Twelve Digimon as well as Argomon (who is based off a Greek Mythology character as well). Digivolution will be a bit different from ordinary Digimon shows/RPs because the characters will have to utilize the data from other Digimon (I'll explain more when the RP is up; it's an idea that I got from a guy on dA).
I think it sounds interesting. A good reason for the digimon to de-digivolve and come to the humans.
