it was announced on serebii that the Professors English name was Rowan so what do you think of this name?
I really don't have any thoughts except for the fact that its a name I've never heard of

It kind of destroys the motif of having the Professors named after trees...

Oak, Elm, Birch... Rowan.

Unless Rowan is a kind of tree, which in that case... I've got to study up on trees more.

Hey, there's such a thing as Dog Wood, so anything is possible.


EDIT: I checked, and Rowan IS a tree. A European tree, but a tree nonetheless.

rowans ok.... but i dont like it.... and i never knew there was an elm tree until now... freaky its like how they name all the starting towns after stuff about trees (Pallet,Littleroot,New bark)

I like Professor Rowan. It has a nice ring IMO.

I'm glad they did keep to the tradition of tree names with the professors...otherwise this generation would've been really different without the little things like this.

Well the Proffesors dont appear too much in the game so its not that important.
and even if the name was bad who would care the game doesn't look too promising anyway.

It really does not matter to me all that much. He'll play a role in the new series, but it is not going to be a big issue where we're hearing his name every episode.

"Rowans" are pretty common in here, and it's English name has a nice ring to it. I love it.
