this poll existed a while ago i think... but anyway, as all fighting game fans know... it's speed, not strength that wins in a fight. because of this, ninjas own samurais even though both are awesome.

That was the original most important poll ever, but it was ninjas versus pirates, not ninjas versus samurai ^_^

I would have to say that samurai would defeat the ninjas. People always invoke the element of surprise and speed when they mention ninjas, but that is by far not everything. Samurai have the advantage of having the combination of wisdom, honor, and discipline, as well as superior swordplay and ninja-like swiftness.

There's a scene in the movie The Last Samurai I could mention that realistically depicts a fight between samurai and ninjas, but no one has seen that movie, probably.

Actually, it really does depend. Samurai and ninja are, in truth, much closer in speed than most give them credit for. It's a very circumstantial battle. If a ninja had the time to take advantage of superior distance combat capibility, I would gie it to him. Otherwise, the samurai would probably come out on top. Depending on the skill levels of both parties, of course.

Mwar, yeah, the ninjas rely on catching their target off guard, camoflauge and stealth, but if they don't have that they're kinda helpless ^^;;

It is obviously Samurais. Samurais are more skilled, just as fast, and can also easily defeat a Ninja. If you say Ninja then I don't think you know how good Samurais actually are. But I'm not here to make an argument. Ninjas are skilled, and swift but still not as good as Samurais are.

Of course,ninjas. I have seen many things about ninjas. Especially,anime Naruto. Ninjas are really fast,have a lot of good abilities and etc. Plus,I am a ninja. *points to my username*
