Savings

I used to save my money but I never get to anymore since I moved out. Life has become very expensive so I'm not left with a lot after a week of living to the standard to which I've become accustomed. :P

So I have a sizeable 5-figure nest egg but it's been nearly 18 months since I contributed a decent amount to it lol.

Boom. You don't get to take it with you when you die. Kids can make their own damn money. Congrats on the success.

I plan to be generous to my children while they are young, not leave an inheritance. That means I hope to give them/help them with things like education costs or first home deposits.

When I die, my kids will be pretty old and I would hope financially secure. An inheritance wouldn't mean as much then as it would when you are young and at your financially weakest time.

Saving plenty of money so when the time comes I can blow it all at once. Hopefully on something that will be very poorly planned, provide me enough life experience so I can make a living by writing bad magazine articles and paying rent to an overweight, angry landlord somewhere in Eastern Europe.

I prefer to save my money just in case something comes up or in case there is something I really want. It's also a good idea to save for college. College is waaay expensive.

My only debts are personal and I have a little money to spend. I've been out of work since December but after I move I do hope to resume working again as fast as possible. As far as spending goes I like to have some savings but I would rather enjoy life than sit on a pile of money.

i have been saving from the past year for a nice new electric guitar :3 i have around11k rs now which is about 183.46 usd :>

Not being employed, and only possessing the savings in my bank account as back-up, applying for a credit card probably wasn't the greatest idea ;; I'm finding myself tempted to buy games from the PSN Store, which is not only unhealthy for my savings, but also my schoolwork in the long-run.

I get money from my mum every day, if you can call that "income". I'm thinking of getting a job, but I'm learning to save money efficiently with what I've got right now.

I'm not so great at it, considering I'm weak to impulse buying. Basically...I'd take whatever seems appealing to me. That happens really often with me, so I keep losing to my temptations.

Not that I ever had any money of my own, ergo not that I've ever been able to feel that feeling of spending money and buying something...
With others words I don't get any money at all, nothing like pocket money or any of that
However, I still sometimes get mailed monies for birthday or whatever, though my parents then take it away from me and keep it from me as well
That doesn't mean they take money that'd belong to me, rather they want it to be "safe" from me because they think that I had "no idea of how to use it carefully"
To sum it up I do save money, yet I'm not allowed to use it or even see it
:c

My mum and my grandmother send me money in the post here and there. Most of the time I feel like I don't want to save up for something up big, but I am saving up for MK8 right now. Already pre-ordered it and only £10 away!

I save money, but unfortunately I don't keep track of it much. D: I don't really have any good place to save my money, like a piggy bank, so I just put it in my wallet - which I can't really remember where it is at the moment. I also have this bad habit of always giving money to my friends and I hope I overcome this habit before the school year starts.
