lol, I think that Americain Teachers give so little homework. n_n; The one teacher that gives the most is my Algebra teacher. She's the only one that gave us hw through out the Winter Break. =_=

Most public schools in Canada don't give a lot of homework either. There are some good public schools though where smart kids with empty pockets go.

I live in NYC and my school gives a ton of homework. I have Algebra, History, French, Science, English and other stuff each night. I got 99.5% on my French test though. That's the only subject I get. Lol. :D

It depends if you want to forget or not. If you've just spent 2 days cramming for an exam, when the exam's over, you forget it all. o.o; However, if you have intrest in the subject, you may remember it for life. o.o;

I don't think French is mandatory in some states so I'm not surprised either. If a person was really smart than he would usually get a scholarship to a private school like my friend whose parents make less than 50000 dollars a year.

Well, if you become valedictorian (or salutitorian in some colleges) then you get a scholarship. It doesn't matter how much your family makes in that instance...course, if you parents are BUZZILIONARES then that'll be a factor to. I bet bill gate's kids could get in any college they friggin want...ha!
