School Chit-Chat

Well, does anyone ever go to the school dances? I am just curious and am trying to start a different topic on school. As for me, I don't, if they are during school and will take up all of my afternoon classes I just skip them and go home. :x
I do sometimes. In 7th grade I went to all but one even though they were pretty dumb. In 8th grade I think I went to 2 of them. Last year and this year I only went to Homecoming. I didn't want to go to Sadie's because I have no one to ask anyway. Even though you don't need to go with someone I would feel weird because all my friends had someone to go with...

I went to school dances when I was in 6th grade. It stinks though because no one actually danced. I just sat on the corner talk to talk with my friends while eating chips and drinking a soda. :P

That's pretty much what I do to. I don't really like to dance at school dances. Some of my friends just start dancing but I'm to shy to do that. I pretty much just stand there and talk and stuff. Plus I don't have anyone to dance with anyway...

There was that one dance in Virginia though. I mentioned it in DCC over the weekend but I'll say it here too...We were forced to go to it for at least to hours. I sat at the table the whole time... plus I had my bad cough so I drank a lot of soda. After we were allowed to leave I went back to the room but my friend realized she forgot her camera so we went back for it. There was one guy left and about 20 girls. So we decided to stay. They started playing oldies and even I started dancing! Then during the song I Will Survive one of the girls got up on a chair and started acting it out. Then one of the chaperones started doing that too. Then the lone guy did that too. Then all of a sudden he kissed the chaperone on the cheek! It was really funny. Then later he came up to us and asked who it was he kissed... we told him and he was so embarrased. Then he apologized. That was one of the highlights of the trip!

I suppose we're talking about school dances? If so, I hate them. That may be unfair generalizations, but I've been to dances at three different schools and I had a terrible time at each and every one of them. =\

I get headaches pretty easily, so the loud music isn't much of a help. Not only that, but the only music that is ever played is just rap and techno beats. And I'm not sure you could call what the kids do "dancing". Ugh... all the girls look like ****s and everything. The worst part was how my friend and I would be forced to go to these. Lmao, eventually they just let us sit in the computer lab and surf the internet during these things. XD That was the best part.

I hate school dances...yet oddly enough, I go to all of them...the thing is, we haven't had any this year except for homecoming, which I actually had a date for o_o;; Bad things begin at dances...whenever a girl dances with me, it almost always means that at a later date we'll be enemies somehow. They play the worst music imaginable at our school dances, and the dancing gets really nasty...I don't know how it's allowed. I think the officials are just tired of trying to stop it. I usually end up sitting in a corner for three hours and then going home depressed...ugh.

The dancing at our dances is pretty disgusting too. And people's behavior. At the welcome back dance (I didn't go to that one) a whole bunch of sophomores got suspended for drinking or something. And at the Homecoming dance (I did go to this one) there was a container of juice that was rumored to have been spiked... and I wouldn't doubt it either. I mean it was in the middle of the gym floor, where the dance was being held. Normal punch isn't usually there...

The worst part about school dances in the gym is that the janitor is lazy.
I mean, I went to the dance and then the next morning when we have gym, it's still dirty so we can't do anything.

Usually our dances are in the caf? but for homecoming there were too many people or something so they moved it to the gym. I don't really like to go to them... but I do go to one a year so my friends can't say I didn't go to any...

I actually wouldn't mind the gym being dirty... maybe we could miss class! But then again they could be mean and make us go outside for gym or something...

Who's had a Stupid Biology Teacher? Last Semester when I took Biology I my Teacher was gay, But now that I have Chemistry *Oh thank god* I have the illest teacher :). I hope I have a good Physics teacher next year.

If you meant science teacher then yes. :P
Not that I hate my teacher or anything but the subject is sooo boring. :tired:
Well, I don't like that teacher but she likes me as a student. Wierd.....

Nah I hated my Bio Teacher, he was ill mean and always wrote people up for stupid stuff... Its funny how on Conduct Cards teachers add an extra paragraph of things you didnt do so that you get in more trouble.... Idiots..

I love my Chemistry teacher though, She's so Cool!!!

My biology teacher is awesome...we haven't done anything all year! She's the most laidback teacher ever...we can do anything we want in there...but only in my class, which only has 9 people in it (including me :P ) She loves us above all of her other classes for some reason...she'll let us drink soda, slack off, she even buys donuts for us! I don't let her buy me any, though, because I'd feel bad mooching off my teacher. I'm going to miss Biology...next year I have Chemistry, and that seems awfully boring and involved...

Anyway, my day was uneventful. I can still do my good news/bad news thing, though...

Good News: I finally let my voice be heard in the great english debate which has been raging on and off for weeks...I was actually applauded by the whole class for stumping my opponent o_o;;

Bad News: Art class continues to drag on...and on...and on... (I suppose this is a good thing that this is the worst thing I can think of...)

So How is your Science Set up?? Do you have to do one year of a certain science? We dont.. We dont even have to take the same classes for a year.. One Semester for World history I, and the next semester for WHII, Then Next year US History and Im Done with all My Historys. Same For Science, Next Year I just have to take Physics and I'm all done.

We have classes we have to take each year... my choices this year were Biology and Biology College Prep. so I chose CP...next year I can either take Chemistry (CP), Science and Technology (non-CP) or Earth Science (non-CP.)...I'll be taking Chemistry, although I'll likely blow myself up by accident by the end of the year. I actually already had to take Earth Science last year in the ninth grade...it was considered CP back then and the non-CP alternative was General Science. They got rid of General Science this year, and replaced it with Physical Science (rudimentary physics for freshmen or something, I suppose...) Physics is the only option for seniors at our school...I doubt I'll take it though...I don't exactly have an interest in either science or my GPA getting slaughtered my senior year...

See I'm only a Freshman so all the College Preps would have been taken this semester or next year...

My bio teacher is like that too... we spend most of the class talking. He never gives us homework or if he does he lets us do it in class anyway. It's great in some ways but on the other hand... it kinda stinks not doing anything after working my butt of last year to get a C...
I have chem next year too... I hate chemistry... it's so hard. Last year I took ICP and chemistry was a lot easier than physics... but still very hard...

OH! I found out why my friend was upset and then missing from school yesterday. Today she was in school and I was really happy cuz I was kinda scared... she never gets sick so I knew it wasn't that...well anyway her brother got arrested... yeah. He's a junior and he had something. I don't know what he had but it must've been illegal. My friend ws real upset amd now a whole bunch of his friends were wearing "Free Dennis" shirts and stuff today. I didn't want to ask exactly what happened... it's really not my business...

She doesn't even really educate us in Biology...she might make us take notes once a month and write vocabulary once a month but that's about it...she makes her tests really easy, too. Last quarter I ended up with a 107 in there :P ...I never thought school could be that good...she's even letting us bring soda to school tomorrow to drink in her class...could it get any better? ^_^

My class is kinda like that. He doesn't really teacher either. He puts notes on the board and we copy them... 15 minutes of the class. The other 45 minutes are free time! He also lets us eat snacks since we have him right before lunch. I get high As on all his tests too. Once there was one where I actually thought I failed but I got a 97... and he let us fix what we got wrong for 1/2 credit! He also lets us play jeopardy before each test and the winning team gets from 1-10 bonus points. It's an easy class! But the final is made by the science dept. not him so we'll all fail that one...

Wow...it is a rare occasion where you get such an awesome teacher, I have only had one teacher like that and that was in Gr 6. >.>

I just finished my homework of DOOM! Although, it was pretty easy. =3
