September predictions

To be honest a part of me doesn't understand why fossil Pokemon aren't found in the wild. With all the trainers who must be reviving and breeding these Pokemon, you'd think there would have been some sort of restoration of the species by now.

Even if nothing official was carried out, what happens to all those fossil Pokemon that get released into the wild by trainers?

Jurassic Park?

August was underwhelming for news so I'm really expecting them to ramp it up for this month. We're literally two months away from release now and this is probably the longest we've gone without any solid news for new games with such a short space to the release date.

My prediction for news in the month of September: we ain't getting $#!%.

Joking aside, I'm sure we'll get a little something. I have an idea that's best suited for another thread though and it involves the hyped Misty and Brock appearance in the anime.

I mean let's admit it, this is the shortest period of time between announcement and release since B2/W2. When news drops from here on out, it needs to deliver well so that we don't lose hype which was exactly the issue lately when it came to news distribution.

Is there any important event going on soon?..

It's only early in the month, but we should get CoroCoro leaking in around a week's time so at least there'll be news that'll be expected.

That said, I do wonder if CoroCoro or any trailers may officially reveal the Dream Park, a feature that's been a rumour going around for over a month now. I do hope it is a thing, since it looks like it could be some kind of Safari Zone-like place.

There is waaaay too much Kanto hinting going on for my liking in general right now. Waaaay too much. I'm pretty sure a lot of people still don't think a Kanto revisit is on the cards for USUM, but if it was, I'd half expect it to come this month to tie in with the anime...or be strongly hinted at in the next trailer.

Is it bad I expect some actual content this month? August was depressingly barren; barely a step above July.

At least August actually gave us proper news. July had absolutely nothing.
It may as well have been nothing, for all the useful information we could actually get out of it. A single new form that was practically confirmed to exist last games is not news, and Z-Moves are a blatant cop-out; every Pokemon can use them, and exclusive ones don't mean much if you don't use the Pokemon. Typically, the trailer scenes are entirely out of context and prompt more speculation, and for me personally, it's more frustrating than it is intriguing.

I do expect more of the same vague nonsense, but some meaningful specifics would be nice as well. These games still have no shape whatsoever to them, and it's time they gave us more of an idea of what to expect beyond what we already know we can expect.

Pokeshopper seems to be hinting at something for this month:

Dusk Lycanroc doesn't seem to be any of those, and Verlisify on YouTube mentions that particular sheet lists "powerful" Pokemon. You got the likes of Necrozma, Silvally, and Nihilego on that list, so I'm thinking the bottom two are Solgaleo and Lunala forms, which leaves that top one open for something we haven't seen yet. For those of you doubting this Tweet, Pokeshopper is about as reliable as Serebii.

I really don't think we will see anything this month sadly, unless we get new Alolan Forms in the anime.

I just wish they would reveal more stuff or do something.... If that is all that is different and they can't explain anything else without giving away the story, then I think USUM could possibly be worst than SM.

And although SM sold well and I enjoyed it, in my opinion it is one of the weakest games.

That is promoting release of merchandise. That may or may not indicate we'll get US/UM news, but September 29 is two days shy of my birthday so that may not be the worst time to share news.

It is possibly an Event only pokemon maybe. I am still expecting one.

It could also be an Alolan Variant of a Legendary Pokemon, but I don't see that really happening. It is a good indication that there are new things, but I wouldn't hype too much.

Another possiblity is a Marshadow Evolution or new form.

Marshadow won't get an evolution since we have all the gen 7 pokemon. New form maybe. I don't know if we get anything in this month.
